Team Romney Readying a Barrage of Pro-Bain Ads
— Ace

Dick Morris said something last night I agreed with: The Obama campaign has made an issue of Bain. Romney cannot ignore that issue; silence is usually treated as concession of fault. He has to provide an answer, Morris said.

Makes sense.

Romney probably will talk about Bain in his speech, but he's also got nine videos promoting his career at Bain. I hope he takes Dick Morris' advice and runs them on TV.

Many of these ads are too long for TV (some are almost two minutes long). The one below is 1:00, which means it could run on TV.

Web-only doesn't mean anything.

2 Should be an easy sell. A company that helps other businesses stay open and continue jobs? Yeah, that's bad how exactly?
Most folks don't know exactly how Bain works, they just hear the somewhat ominous sounding name and continual hammering that they're bad in some way. Teaching people how these companies work would change peoples' entire viewpoint.
That, and quoting Obama praising them in 2008....

More troubling for the Romney Campaign has to be what [he said/did not say] about [abortion/ his tax returns/ Bain/ women's issues/ rape]. Clearly, that creates an opening President Obama welcomes.

102 Uh oh. Bipolar Ace is freaking out on Twitter. Apparently only 20 million people saw Ryan's speech last night, 37 million saw Palin's in 2008. So Ace doesn't think we'll see a big bounce in the polls. Posted by: Roscoe at August 30, 2012 05:01 PM (kdfQ/) ============ I wonder how many online viewers vs tv viewers since then... count me as one.

103 Staples is just a racist codeword. Backwards it spells 'sel pats' which is a subliminal message to white racists to remind them of how their very own flesh and blood ancestors used to march the negro to the marketplace in chains. * downs the fifth quadruple shot of Dewers this hour* Hope and Chains!

Now, with the Republican National Convention concluded, what issues important to Americans can we look forward to hearing about when the Democrats take the stage in a few days?

106 OT but does anyone else think Clint Eastwood vs Eva Longoria (next week) is as pitiful as Ryan vs Biden?  I like the way her stylist dresses her and all but the awfulness of next week is looming and I had to go out and buy a bag of limes today for all the gin and tonics it will take for me to watch any of that lame show.

I wonder if those numbers are a statement as much about the unbearable slanted coverage on the networks as it is the content.

I watched online, straight from the convention stream, to avoid the jackass commentary and disappearing of relevant speakers.

The Staples success story is a good one....I hope they use it.

I was a regular customer at Office Depot, until Staples came to my area.

But Staples had lower prices on the same stuff...and a bigger selection.

In other words...

Staples gave small business customers cost savings and more choices.

'Cost Savings and More Choices'.

That's what we consumers and taxpayers want in our Government, too.

110 Hey erg, are you wearing a giant vagina suit right now? Because that's how I picture you, a fat, greasy, pimply fuck in a giant vagina suit pounding away on your keyboard with your tiny fists of rage in mommy's basement.

111 Its becoming pretty obvious to me that the courts are the left's last wall of defense, their final barrier to protecting the machine. Voter ID would kill leftist fraud attempts, so the courts kill it. Redistricting in Texas to help Republicans (I hate gerrymandering no matter who it helps) damages the Democrats in the Senate. So a court kills it.
The only question is how higher courts will rule. I don't trust the Supreme Court to decide the milk in the break room fridge has spoiled.

112 Its a bit unfair to compare to Palin's speech, people were really, really curious about Sarah Palin and wanted to know more about her. Paul Ryan is less of a cypher. How does that compare to the VP speeches at conventions before 2008?

114 I don't recall VP's ever murdering in their RNC speeches before this year.... Paul Ryan murdered... then the next day we, being the awesome fuckers we are, took leftwing spin generated by MSDNC and pushed it over the cliff like it's name was granny!

I think using commercial tv ratings as a ruler on how many people watched the convention last night is misconcieved.  It's obvious from just the people who comment here that the internet  has replaced  normal tv.   People  have become aware of the fraud  and deception  of the alphabet networks.  And I think that's been the case since 2009, or we wouldn't have had the victory that we did in 2010.

The populace is awakened.  And their going to the alternate media.

116 BTW, before the '08 convention McCain was losing to Obama by about 8 points. Her announcement and the convention only brought McCain into a tie with Obama. Romney was pretty much tied with Obama before Ryan was announced and they will leave the convention probably a couple points ahead. Palin's speech was very good, Ryan's was better.

118 Ooohhh, Beckel is cold sober and very subdued on The Five. He's talking the talk but you can tell he's just going through the motions and is seriously butthurt.
What a wonderful afternoon.

119 Reagan also ran for the nomination in 1976.  He was no lightweight and no one thought that.  Democrats may have preferred the optics of running against a 70 year old but they knew Reagan was no lightweight.

I cannot take any more of the "Oh, we're doomed - No, yay, we will win" stuff.

Thanks for the warning.

121 OMFG, now they are saying Obama did not PROMISE to keep the plant open, just that he BELIEVED it would stay open for 100 yrs. Really? He didn't pinky-swear, he just believes it like in Santa Claus? So what was Ryan's lying lie now that he's accused of?

122 The gop Keeps on opening that door. Maybe y'all should knock off throwing peanuts at black people and trying to stop them from voting. Perhaps then people would stop calling you racists. Just an idea

Posted by: He's a mooslin!!!1!! at August 30, 2012 04:59 PM (WP3RQ)

Here's an idea, maybe the DNC members can stop throwing eggs and pies at republican speakers.  Better yet maybe they can stop shooting and assaulting people and cut down on trashing buildings, breaking windows and burning cars. While you're at it, please also refrain from flattening tires and keying cars.  And if you can kindly stop all the voter fraud it would be greatly appreciated.  Dickwad.
