The Daily DOOM: Still on hiatus
— Monty

DOOOOM

The Daily DOOM will be remaining on hiatus until next week at the earliest due to factors beyond my control. As much as I enjoy bringing stories of financial perfidy, failure, and catastrophe to the Moron Horde, real-life work intrudes and since that gig pays my bills, it only makes financial sense to screw you guys instead.

Happy New Year, Morons.

59 42 That's weird isn't it. My dad was from the deep south and from a family of democrat politicians. He left for WWII and never went back and finished his education through the army and even earned a doctorate--far surpassing anything his family had ever done. He grew up in the '20s and '30s when, as my political science major husband and most history books point out, communism and nazism were considered potential answers to the world's ills. However, until he died in the 90s, he was sure that the jews were behind all fiscal problems. He was quite sure that they were financing the black unrest of the 60s. I think somehow he confused communists and jews and although I do think there was a large overlap there in the Venn diagram you can't substitute one for the other. I think Ron Paul really means "communists" but the tards have made that term so out of favor his followers are resorting to "jews".

Well, stereotypes come into existence for a reason, and it is absolutely true that the only international bankers- for centuries, really- were the Jews.  The various Arabic peoples didn't have the money, or the commercial ties to do so; the Europeans were the ones doing the borrowing (also, the Church frowned upon lending money at interest, and when you're talking about European Monarchs, lending w/o interest may as well have been called "a gift.").  So the only people who could lend the money and would do so were the Jews.

And it's true that, because of a variety of issues, they charged fairly punitive interest, even by today's standards.  No the least of those issues was simply the cost of delivering the money in the first place (since everyone worked with actual bullion or coin for so long, lending money was highly dangerous).

So the "Bankers = Teh JOOOOOS!" was a valid stereotype for a long time.

But that's not true anymore (you're more likely to find them in Jewelry or the medical professions, as I understand it).

As for conflating the Communists with the Jews... ummm... I guess so?  I don't see how that works, but I'll take your word for it.

78 #67, Unfortunately you did have a lot of prominent Jews like Leonard Bernstein funding people like the Black Panthers, radical publication, and 'modern art' as part of appearing cool to people at cocktail parties. That still continues to this day. Funding groups and people whom ultimately want to do the Jews in themselves in many cases, see anti-Israel groups funded by looney lib Jewish groups in NYC. Some sort of self destructive suicidal survivors shame or success complex or something, I've never understood it.

The politicians must be lying again when they say this act can be used against a US citizen who can be deemed a terrorist without proof, and can be held indefintely as a result. And the DHS documents that specify who can be identified as a terrorist are all misprints. And the Obama signing statement, where in he does say he has the power to do this but will not use it,  must have the valid weight of Law.  After all he has never broken a promise before. Nor a law.

It's hard to stay on with no money. Campaigns are expensive and she's going to be dead last in NH as well. She put all her apples in the Iowa basket. If she can't even place in the top 5, then what's the point of continuing. Besides, she can help Romney by dropping out and endorsing him. It won't cost her anything, he'll probably pay off her campaign debt, and she'll get to travel around the country with him to events and increase her name recognition.

I predict she drops out if she comes in last in Iowa, which is a real possibility.

I'd just have to "break out" completely (and completely unexpectedly) to do that.  I've got my real job (even if it's easy and boring at the moment) that pays my actual bills.  The blogging thing is just because I see a niche that I think I can fill.

Why don't all the TRUE-AMERICAN LIBERTARIANS latch on to Gary Johnson instead of Der Paulenfuhrer?  Is it Ron Paul's natural charisma? Or is the promise of free pot not as sexy without the racist anti-semitic Bilderberger conspiracy lunacy?

Posted by: nickless at January 03, 2012 05:46 AM (MMC8r)

110 Also, the story about human soap and lampshades in WW2 is a myth told to scare children and keep child-like fundies' wallets open for plunder.

Is this a sock?  It's just too absurd...

Seldom have "myths" been so well documented.  So, were the buckets and buckets full of gold teeth, and the ledgers with extermination numbers myths as well?  How about the two train car loads of Krupp documents detailing their slave labor program?

Give it a rest.  Denying obvious truths isn't going to fool anybody around here.

114 Why don't all the TRUE-AMERICAN LIBERTARIANS latch on to Gary Johnson instead of Der Paulenfuhrer?

Because they've figured out the Libertarian Party will never win a National Election.  The Republican Party can.

They don't realize that the reason the LP can't win a national election is that only about 20% (if that) of the American People really identify with their platform, and most of those are Republicans.

However, in the weeks after the end of WW2 no one was guarding the Nazi concentration camp of Terezin, 10 minutes outside the Bohemian town I was born in. My 11 year old father wandered into the place (that had actually been called a "model" camp by the Nazis and the same International Red Cross that today likes to call Guantanamo a human rights violation.) He told me about the piles of the dead, of the mounds of shoes, and even teeth fillings. It made quite an impression on him, including a quiet atheism that was closer to refusing to forgive God than a true disbelief in Him. Clowns like Allahpundit, that make a fetish of their shallow lack of religious thought, need to stop beclowning themselves when it comes to why thoughtful people might have an issue with God.

126 Morning, Doomers. One week from today is my last day in this shithole.

Then the Thursday after I'll head over to SC and secure my rental. Probably head to the DMV on Friday and switch my license. One, because I want to get my CWP right away and two because maybe I can still get in on the SC primary.
