TIPP Daily Tracker: Romney 47% Obama 45%
— CAC

ANOTHER ONE.

RCP average ticking further for Romney.
Talking Point's Memo is even more generous, giving him a 2.8% lead over the President.

In our resident troll Greg's own words, "[today] will be the big day. Obama should see his numbers improve with the jobs numbers, Romney's bounce will be fading."

Today is the day, Greg.

For you to swallow.

Bonus- party ID on that? D+8. Romney carrying indies and his own party solidly.

103 Black faith leaders announce campaign goal to strip 25 percent of black vote from Obama

Unhappy with President Barack Obama‘s support of same-sex marriage, a group of African-American faith leaders have announced a campaign aimed at stripping 25 percent of the black vote that went to Obama in 2008 (95 percent).

The newly formed nonprofit group, God Said, will begin targeting voters in Ohio, Virginia, North Carolina, Wisconsin and Florida with television and radio advertising, as well as a grassroots campaign to encourage people to consider the gospel when they enter the voting booth.

“The black community is among the most religious in America and we are offended that President Obama has announced his support of same-sex marriage, that the NAACP has blindly supported the secular views of the Democratic Party, and that their national platform plainly supports same-sex marriage,” said Apostle Claver Kamau-Imani of RagingElephants.org, and a God Said founder, in a statement. “I am confident that this message will be well received and acted upon on Election Day.”

140 Uh....oh.....On Yahoo, believe it or not......(sorry if this has already been mentioned but with all these threads it's hard to keep up with what has been mentioned!)

VAN METER, Iowa—For weeks, Mitt Romney has hammered President Barack Obama's response to the deadly attacks on the United States consulate in Benghazi, Libya, which claimed the lives of four Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens.

But what Romney has never said on the campaign stump until today is that he had previously met one of the victims: Glen Doherty, a former Navy SEAL who was working as a State Department contractor in Libya.

Speaking at a rally held at a family farm about 20 miles outside Des Moines, Romney was telling the crowd a random story about how he had once mistakenly crashed a neighbor's Christmas party near his house in La Jolla, Calif., thinking it was the neighborhood's annual holiday party. He spoke about how kind people had been to him there, even though he and his wife, Ann, had intruded.

"I got to meet some really interesting people. One of them was a guy actually from my home state of Massachusetts--and relatively young guy compared to me," Romney said.

The man was a former Navy SEAL living in San Diego, Romney explained without giving Doherty's name. That night, the two talked about the things they had in common: They both loved to ski and had explored some of the same slopes.

"We had a lot of things in common," Romney said. "He told me that he keeps going back to the Middle East. He cared very deeply about the people there. He served in the military there, went back from time to time to offer security services and so forth to people there."

"You can imagine how I felt when I found out that he was one of the two former Navy SEALS killed in Benghazi on Sept. 11th," Romney continued. "And it touched me obviously that I recognized that this young man that I thought was so impressive has lost his life in the service of his fellow men and women."

CAC-Spot On....PLUS 8 DEM SAMPLE????  And Romney up 2 points? and Romney is up double digits with Indies....Polling 2 days before Debate, as well as the Sat, Sun, Mon after (the weekend that favors Dems)...only two days supposedly Romney has jump from Debate yet.....Romney is up 2 with a plus Dem Sample of Plus 8....Dreaming!  I can tell you Conservatives and Republicans CANNOT WAIT to show where that Dem/Rep/Ind Split will be on Nov 6th!!  I guarantee you it will be nowhere near 4 percent let alone 8...Best Guest...Even...even Plus 1 Republicans.

Everyone I have talked to is jazzed....in my business at least 6 new people donated money to Romney since debate...I have been involved calling and knocking on doors for Mitt and GOP....We are exceeding our targets in Central Florida....Orlando/Tampa area.  Our response has been outstanding!

158 88 to be fair (well really to play devil's advocate,) i would think that Utah Democrats have to be to the right of your typical Dem to get enough support there. problem is once they get to Washington the leftwingization typically begins. you know, like the "pro-life" Democrats who bravely voted for Obamacare only after they got their (worthless) executive orderPosted by: JParker at October 09, 2012 02:38 PM (60GaT)

Most Utah Democrats are conservatives in any other state; heck, we even have dems like Peter Cooke that openly oppose gay marriage and abortion. But dems in the state have to be far enough to the left to satisfy the crazy hippy dems in the state, of which SLC, Moab, and Park City are inundated. Matheson and his ilk accomplish this by voting as far left dem as they can on legislative issues where their vote doesn't matter, and the rest of the time loudly claim to listen to the will of the people. We finally have a chance to end this with Mia; Huntsman could have sat it out if he wanted, but no, he had to stick his big foot in the race.

Our state is spared the brunt of Obama/Romney ads, it is the Matherson/Love ads we get in spades. Not looking forward to the "Huntsman likes me, he really likes me!" ads Matheson is now going to trot out. But at least it will be a welcome change from the "Mia Love is stupid and/or dangerous for Utah" ads we've been forced to see.

Wow, Tami.

It's great that Romney brought this up...and in such a respectful way, to the memory of this fallen hero.

He waited for an appropriate amount of time to pass, too.

You know that this had to have been hammering him, in the back of his mind...throughout these past weeks.

Obama was supposed to be the great unifier, but all the election of a half-black man to the presidency has done is divide the country along racial lines not seen for decades.

Blacks being called uncle Tom's because they don't buy into socialism and paying for others "free shit."  Death threats, riot threats.

The black community really should look in the mirror......

163 And just to clarify for people. . . it is Huntsman Sr., businessman and philanthropist working to fight cancer, that endorsed Matheson, not Huntsman Jr, useless governor and republican candidate. Huntsman the elder is about as close as a patron saint as you can get in the state, but this is really going to irk a lot of people and lose a lot of the goodwill they have for him. Lots of love for Mia in our state.

Oh and Greg....this poll includes the days that would have had OBAMA's PHONY JOB NUMBERS....his biggest days were Sat/Sun from the Jobs...and they are already figured into this poll and Ras, Pew and ARG in Ohio. Oh and Greg NBC in Columbus did a poll over the WEEKEND (with those Job Numbers Greg) and Obama is 45/44 over Romney in there poll....Not sure of the partisan breakdown...but sorry Greg this was done after the release of the Job Numbers....No help for Obama..

The Job numbers would be in Fri/Sat/Sun polling because the numbers were released Friday Morning.....so everything coming out has that already in play!!  Obama has nothing left to help him as far as economically....all he has left is Dirty Tricks and Manipulation.

Oh and Sesame Street told Obama to stop using BIG BIRD in their ads....LOL!!  Boomerang Greg!

Seriously, how the hell can anyone imagine that Obama in 2008, the BEST Democrat wave year ever took Indies by 8 and won by 7... and he can lose indies now and still win?

Horsecrap... there is no way that's even plausible.  That won't even LOOK like a close election.
