Supremes pass on schools censoring student internet activities when they are at home

One wonders who blocked this case because it was ripe. The lower courts appear to be all over the place on it. My feelings are that students have been bullies and assholes since the beginning of time. The schoolÂ’s responsibility and authority begin and end at the school grounds. They are not police and they are not arbiters of the internet.

Parents should be controlling this crap and if they donÂ’t then the offended party should seek redress through the courts, not through the schools. It is high damn time the damn schools got back to teaching and left all the other crap to others.

The best way to reduce the ranks of the poor in the U.S.?  Declare LBJÂ’s war on poverty over, stop all welfare payments and other in-kind assistance to the “poor”.

State Police at Newport and the owner of a Perry County farm are trying to figure out who and why the electricity to the barns was cut in an attempt to kill the pig.

At the Aspen Perry Pig Farm in Oliver Township, authorities say unknown people cut the power to the barns and the backup generator in what they describe as an attempt to kill the pigs by suffocation.

Solar-panel company lays off 40 employees

Willard & Kelsey Solar Group LLC laid off about 40 people indefinitely at the beginning of January until changes to its production line are completed, a company official said Monday.

Michael Cicak, the company's chief executive officer and chairman of the board, would not say when the changes would be completed or when the laid-off employees could return to work.

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) on Wednesday dropped his support for controversial legislation aimed at stopping online piracy.

Earlier this year, Rubio had signed on as a co-sponsor of the bill, saying it was "important to protect American ingenuity, ideas and jobs from being stolen through Internet piracy."

Rubio's defection is a blow to supporters of the bill. The freshman senator is one of the most popular conservative Republican politicians in the country, and is thought to be a leading candidate for vice president on the GOP ticket.
