3 Be careful when buying a gun.  A NM gun dealer accidentally shoots customer in the back while unloading a .45 cal pistol.  IÂ’ll bet I know exactly what happened.  He had jacked a round in the chamber after which you have to manually let the hammer down when ejecting it.  The hammer accidentally slipped out of his fingers.  You never ever have a gun pointed at anyone, especially with a round in the chamber unless you are ready to shoot them.  Gun dealer was stupid.

There are at least a dozen stories out there this morning about Hamas and Israel and I ignored every one of them.  It is no longer "news".  It is routine Palestinian BS.


The terrorists start by firing rockets at civilians in Israel.  Israel responds by killing a bunch of them.  The Arab world sc4eams, the rest of the world eithr blames Israel or "both sides" and the US sends someone to talk.


Its all BS.  If I was in charge of Israel I would bulldose the entire Gaza Strip to bare earth after running out everyone there and mine the area.  Thus making it a no man's land.


I'm sure everyone would howl.  I would tell them to kiss my rosy red ass.

If they don't, the Feds will have to do it, which will take at least two to three YEARS, AND, oops, they forgot to appropriate any funds to do it. By then, midterms will arrive, and there's hope we can win the Senate back. Now, THAT"S good news. This clusterfark of a law may go down in flames yet because it's too heavy to get off the ground. To ensure accuracy, the Eagles crew and cast (including star Rock Hudson) were allowed to film at the real SAC underground headquarters in Omaha.  But they were required to submit – six months in advance – every piece of military equipment they would need and every flight takeoff, since they would only be allowed to film it once.  The production crew visited the SAC headquarters, specified what they needed, took photographs and notes, and got nothing but full cooperation.

 

Came the fall of 1962.  The scene to be shot at SAC was to show Rock Hudson picking up the red phone.  The crew rolled in, expecting the usual hospitality.  But to their surprise, they were brusquely informed they had two days to film and no more.  Map boards that had been visible were covered, MPs were everywhere and the place was a beehive of activity.

 

Director Delbert Mann shot his footage, at which point everyone was escorted out at gunpoint.  Nobody understood what had gone wrong until they made it back to Hollywood two days later –

The governors also know that if they assist in any way, they are the ones who will get blamed for all the consequences of this awful law. And honestly, there is really no way to comply if they wanted to. There's so much of the law that is "to be determined" or unwritten yet, that complying is literally impossible. This version of the law was never intended to be enacted, but it was all the Dems could get after Scott Brown was elected. They wanted it. Now they got it. Just be careful going through there at night this time of year.  I went through there one night on my way home to GA from Chicago.  There were 4 of us in an old 1962 Chevy.  The fog got so bad we had to let one guy out of the car to walk on the road in front of the car to to find our way through it.

I just think that trying to get 50 million people to stop paying taxes is, oh, how should I say this.....unrealistic.  So it appears option "c" is really the only viable strategy.  You could go for option "b" but you're not going to make it out of the starting gate.

For a tax revolt to have any effect, it needs to happen simultaneously and in vast numbers - and Uncle Sugar will be stopping those organizing efforts long, long before you achieve critical mass.

I agree that nowadays the bullies have all the power, and the establishment is on their side.  In my experiences with my kids, rather than punish the instigators, teachers will further shame the victim, then punish or remove him/her from class.  Because they don't really care, and it's just easier.

The legal system works that way, too, now.
