— Gabriel Malor Happy Friday.
I haven't got any news stories for you this morning; let's see what Vic comes up with. Instead, how 'bout a song I can't stop dancing to? The NSFW music video was insanely popular in Europe six years ago, where the Godless heathens used to show it on TV during the daytime with an even racier version on at night. Apparently, it completely missed the U.S.

I have a factoid about the Sears catalogue and other fluff: The first traffic light in the U.S. was erected in Cleveland, Ohio in 1913. It was purchased by the chief of police William Yancey out of the Sears Catalog. Cool, huh?
I just made that up.

The fact that the GOP establishment doesn't realize that there is close coordination within the Dem/MFM establishment is willfully obtuse.
It happens constantly. I don't know why they don't see this. I've been banging my head on the desk non-stop since Axelrod found a "woman" in his own building to accuse Cain of misconduct. Then we have dug up shit on Santorum, etc. I guess they figure that it worked so well on Palin---most on the right completely buy the left's manufactured story on her and don't even question it!
The republicans are in the process of getting Palined, Borked, Clarence Thomased, and Cained and not only don't know it but are helping out with blog/news/radio! It's STUPID!

The sheer repeated deep and unbelievable idiocy of the GOP can never be explained sufficiently unless and until you make the assumption that they don't want to win if winning means reducing the size and reach of government. As soon as you take as your premise that the GOP would rather lose and see government grow than to win and not grow government quite so much, then the GOP starts to make sense.
This is a big fucking deal. If the GOP gets the WH, they may have to give up on Obamacare and Dodd-Frank, among many many other things. The GOP have to stay focused on one goal: To make their voters believe they want to win, while really tanking the election. By any means necessary.
On that cheery note, I'm goin. So long!

Now, just in time for St. Patrick’s Day, barackobama.com was peddling “O’Bama” T-shirts, playing on the president’s wee trace of Irish blood and his joke on a visit to Ireland last year that he had “come home to find the apostrophe that we lost somewhere along the way.”
But Mr. Hunt, an owner of Coogan’s in Washington Heights, noted something wrong with the message on the T-shirt itself: below the “O’Bama” was a large four-leaf clover. The shamrock, symbol of Ireland, is a three-leaf clover.

A father has been arrested after smashing his son in the face with a mug for not paying attention to the PresidentÂ’s State of the Union speech last month, authorities said.
Mohamed Shohan, 49, was charged with third-degree assault yesterday along with disorderly conduct and risk of injury to a child.
When the boy wouldnÂ’t pay attention to ObamaÂ’s speech, Shohan, of Stamford, Connecticut, allegedly grabbed his sonÂ’s cup and hit him across the nose with it.

The company plans on paying hundreds of thousands of dollars to clean up its own property in Fremont, Calif., but a separate leased property in nearby Milpitas sits vacant with barrels of unknown chemicals and lead-contaminated equipment, attorneys for the landlord, iStarCTL I L.P., said in recent bankruptcy court filings.
The full extent of the potential environmental problem at the leased Solyndra facility remains unclear. Officials at iStar say in court papers that they were not given the keys to the premises until this month, though Solyndra stopped making its lease payments in September when it filed for bankruptcy protection in Delaware.“
There may be environmental, health and safety issues and regulatory violations at the premises based on the materials the debtor has left behind, which consist, in part, of open containers of unidentified chemical waste and lead processing machinery,” iStar attorney Karen Bifferato wrote in a recent court filing.

cause. The truth of the matter is theyÂ’ve got a lot of ways to attack
our nominee. TheyÂ’re going to make their attacks on a personal basis.
They really have a hard time defending President Obama on the basis of
his economic record, on the basis of his foreign policy record,
particularly given the developments in Iran, as well as just
mismanagement of Iraq and Afghanistan. So theyÂ’re going to make personal
attacks. I think itÂ’s going to wear very, very badly, and the American

Having worked for a few companies who went out of business, I have to take a moment to explain, if not defend, the bonuses that are typical of a business going out.
When companies (50 employees and up), for whatever reason, decide to close their doors, their is much that needs to be done to complete the requirements of law.
While most employees are happy to try to forget and move on, some employees are needed to unwind the financial records and assets. Most of these folks would rather move on as well, as there is really no long term gain to staying on. Afterall, there aren't any meaningful prospects for advancement and an entry on your resume citing something like "euthanize dying business" really doesn't help you get your next job. That is where the bonuses come in.
The bonuses are there to motivate the demotivated.

Eric Prydz' "Call On Me", featuring Aussie lovely Deanne Berry. First time I ever saw it was on a 60" plasma screen on a battalion TOC wall in Baghdad, 2005. Foreign music video channels with their high standards for hot chicks were a command-acceptable semi-porn that skirted the more onerous clauses of CENTCOM General Order #1. We had a guy in Battalion Commo who was great at music video editing, and he redid a version that's completely dude-free.
