1 Good Morning Morons. Today is Thursday March 29. 2012.  On this day in 1951 Julius and Ethel Rosenberg were convicted of conspiracy to commit espionage during a time of war for passing atomic secrets to the Russians.  They were sentenced to death and executed.  At that time we knew what to do with traitors. There are still idiots today who maintain their innocence. That despite overwhelming evidence then and later with the Verona tapes.

15 And that's it for news this morning.  Mostly everything is about either Obamacare which has been beat to death already or the sensational (not) new video that doesn't show Zimmerman injuries.

Imagine that, a fuzzy ass video doesn't show injuries to scalp.  Forget about testimony by police about bloody injuries, don't need that.  No need for a link, hell every news agency on the planet is carrying it.  That is today's race baiting meme.

37 15 - "...Obamacare which has been beat to death already..." I know you are talking about the topic, but when I read the line I got a tingle up my leg for just a moment at the thought of the actual law having been beaten to death. Alas, no. I have not even the slightest idea what will come of it, but it not only needs to be beaten to death, we need to pump rounds into it, gather up the carcass, feed it to wolves, then blow up the wolves. Just to be sure.

Many ICs used in today's electronics aren't made here anymore. When I worked intrumentation radar, we had to find parts from wherever we could get them, and the new old stock from the 60s,70s and 80s is drying up/nonexistent. There are a few manufacturers out there that are willing to set up a run, but none of them are US based. So it is getting very easy for the Chinese to make BS parts and get them into our military supply chain.

55 This is a pretty big story for 2 reasons: 'Azerbaijan granted Israel access to air bases on Iran border' Foreign Policy quotes U.S. diplomats as saying that 'Israel is deeply embedded in Azerbaijan' and says intelligence officials worried that Israel's military involvement in Azerbaijan would complicate efforts to reduce Israeli-Iranian tensions. 1) It answers the question about how Israel's Air Force could carry this out 2) It pretty shows how negative the obama admin is to Israel and how little they care about stopping Iran from getting the Bomb

Look at it this way.  If that happens then Republicans have a chance of scrapping the remainder of Obamacare and pushing through real, hopefully market based, reforms.

Next year.

Assuming Romney wins and Congressional Republicans win big.

And it's not like Obummer and the Democrats could run on reform.  They did reform, they can eat it.  And if the Supreme Court gives them a big fuck you in part or in whole so much the better.

I've got a meeting so I don't have time for a long explanation, but there's a mechanism for foreign companies with a US presence to be considered a US company by the DoD by establishing a presence here, with US citizens and a couple of other conditions.  I'm technically employed by a UK company (and our landlord-client that harasses me with MSNBC is a UK company who bought a US company) and the "North American" office in Indy is about 10% of the employees, but the project I'm working on right now will go into the Kiowa at some point.

And the last company I worked for was bought by Saab so they could get access to the DoD.

The legacy of unions:

Two years ago, J. Alan Ilgen wouldnÂ’t have guessed Millheim would still be waiting on its new Little League baseball field.

But even with $58,000 in state grants in hand, thatÂ’s just what the Borough Council president said officials have been forced to do.

In October 2010, the borough received a grant from the state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources for the rehabilitation of a park and upgrades to the baseball field.

Almost two years later, the borough has twice bid out the project, and has twice seen those bids return higher than expected. Even with the grant money, Millheim can’t afford its plans for the field. “Obviously we’re having difficulty getting a project for a ball field funded,” Ilgen said.

The cause? According to Ilgen, its in no small part due to the stateÂ’s 50-year-old prevailing wage law.

The law mandates all workers on state-funded construction projects exceeding $25,000 be paid union-scale wages.

Watching “Morning Joe”, minutes ago Mika Brzeninski and Joe Scarborough determined that Zimmerman had no injury to the back of his head after reviewing the ABC surveillance footage at the police station.  In an egregious act of editing, they clipped the film just before the officer who frisked Zimmerman noticeably looks at the back of his head.

To arrive at the conclusion of ABC and MSNBC, one must believe that the police and paramedics who responded to the scene conspired to lie in their reports about the laceration on his head.  What is the media coming to?

Posted by: jwest at March 29, 2012 04:02 AM (FdndL)

90 The Obama administration is now referring to Obamacare as a “bi-partisan bill” and calling the unpopular individual mandate “a Republican idea,” following three days of tough questioning by the Supreme Court.  You remember, that bill that no Republican voted for.

They've also started calling the individual mandate the "individual responsibility" clause.  Because nothing says individual responsibility like the government ordering you to do something.

In other news, George Orwell has achieved a higher angular momentum than a quasar.

Boulder, CO building codes permit a home's sewage of human waste to be composted, no septic tank requirement at least?

No mention made of where the accumulating compost and run-off go...downhill if nowhere else. No mention made of landscaping: earthworm home sewage mote surrounding the single room home.

IDK if anyone has mentioned this, but BHO called an actual floor vote on his proposed Budget a "partisan stunt" or something like that.  I really wish we had an effective Republican Party.  Andrew would have known what to do with that little gem immediately: "What: you mean you proposed a budget that you knew would be so unpopular that it wouldn't stand a chance of passing?"

And then, with yesterday's vote: "So let's get this straight.  The President submitted a budget that was so far left, that even the other Democrats- and at least one admitted communist- couldn't vote in favor of it."

If the JetBlue pilot was taking psychiatric meds (and skipped them) and that's what led to this episode, he WILL be prosecuted.

The FAA does not allow pilots to take pretty much ANY antidepressant drug or any drug associated with mental illness (which is stupid and shortsighted, but that's another topic). So, if he had been diagnosed with any proscribed mental illness and did not ground himself and report it, he could easily be imprisoned.

145 Analysis: US thwarting Israeli strike on Iran Obama betraying Israel? US making deliberate effort to hinder Iran strike by leaking classified info, intelligence assessments, says Ron Ben-Yishai in special Ynet report Ron Ben-Yishai Published: 03.29.12, 14:21 / Israel News The United States is leaking information to the media in order to avert an Israeli strike in Iran: The US Administration recently shifted into high gear in its efforts to avert an Israeli strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities by the end of the year. The flood of reports in the American media in recent weeks attests not only to the genuine US fear that Israel intends to realize its threats; moreover, it indicates that the Obama Administration has decided to take its gloves off. Indeed, in recent weeks the Administration shifted from persuasion efforts vis-à-vis decision-makers and Israel’s public opinion to a practical, targeted assassination of potential Israeli operations in Iran. This “surgical strike” is undertaken via reports in the American and British media, but the campaign’s aims are fully operational: To make it more difficult for Israeli decision-makers to order the IDF to carry out a strike, and what’s even graver, to erode the IDF’s capacity to launch such strike with minimal casualties. The first and most important American objective is to eliminate potential operational options available to the IDF and the State of Israel. I have no intention of detailing or even hinting to the options which the US government aims to eliminate by exposing them in the media. A large part of the reports stem from false information or disinformation, and there is no reason to reveal to the Iranians what’s real and what isn’t. However, it is blatantly clear that reports in the past week alone have caused Israel substantive diplomatic damage, and possibly even military and operational damage. obama out to fuck Israel: You bet

151 3rd class pilot license requirments (note for 1st and 2nd these are kept and added to)

Mental standards for a third-class airman medical certificate are:

(a) No established medical history or clinical diagnosis of any of the following:

(1) A personality disorder that is severe enough to have repeatedly manifested itself by overt acts.

(2) A psychosis. As used in this section, “psychosis” refers to a mental disorder in which—

(i) The individual has manifested delusions, hallucinations, grossly bizarre or disorganized behavior, or other commonly accepted symptoms of this condition; or

(ii) The individual may reasonably be expected to manifest delusions, hallucinations, grossly bizarre or disorganized behavior, or other commonly accepted symptoms of this condition.

(3) A bipolar disorder.

(4) Substance dependence, except where there is established clinical evidence, satisfactory to the Federal Air Surgeon, of recovery, including sustained total abstinence from the substance(s) for not less than the preceding 2 years. As used in this section—

(i) “Substance” includes: alcohol; other sedatives and hypnotics; anxiolytics; opioids; central nervous system stimulants such as cocaine, amphetamines, and similarly acting sympathomimetics; hallucinogens; phencyclidine or similarly acting arylcyclohexylamines; cannabis; inhalants; and other psychoactive drugs and chemicals; and

(ii) “Substance dependence” means a condition in which a person is dependent on a substance, other than tobacco or ordinary xanthine-containing (e.g., caffeine) beverages, as evidenced by—

(A) Increased tolerance;

(B) Manifestation of withdrawal symptoms;

(C) Impaired control of use; or

(D) Continued use despite damage to physical health or impairment of social, personal, or occupational functioning.

(b) No substance abuse within the preceding 2 years defined as:

(1) Use of a substance in a situation in which that use was physically hazardous, if there has been at any other time an instance of the use of a substance also in a situation in which that use was physically hazardous;

(2) A verified positive drug test result, an alcohol test result of 0.04 or greater alcohol concentration, or a refusal to submit to a drug or alcohol test required by the U.S. Department of Transportation or an agency of the U.S. Department of Transportation; or

(3) Misuse of a substance that the Federal Air Surgeon, based on case history and appropriate, qualified medical judgment relating to the substance involved, finds—

(i) Makes the person unable to safely perform the duties or exercise the privileges of the airman certificate applied for or held; or

(ii) May reasonably be expected, for the maximum duration of the airman medical certificate applied for or held, to make the person unable to perform those duties or exercise those privileges.

(c) No other personality disorder, neurosis, or other mental condition that the Federal Air Surgeon, based on the case history and appropriate, qualified medical judgment relating to the condition involved, finds—

(1) Makes the person unable to safely perform the duties or exercise the privileges of the airman certificate applied for or held; or

(2) May reasonably be expected, for the maximum duration of the airman medical certificate applied for or held, to make the person unable to perform those duties or exercise those privileges.

152 Some Einstein tried to bring homemade fireworks on to a plane in Philly. About fifteen years ago, I was talking to an ATF guy who told me that guns were the most high profile thing they regulate, but enforcement is not difficult because *everyone* is at least somewhat sensitive to questioning what is right or wrong when it comes to guns. The alcohol and tobacco have entrenched state interests since the states tax the hell out of both. It's black-market explosives--specifically fireworks--that had them jumping through their assholes most of the time. Gun dealers have an undeservedly shitty public reputation thanks to Hollywood, but as the ATF guy explained it, people in the fireworks trade are shadier than even carnies in real life.

168 Why no threats of investigation and possible firing of person or persons who leaked the so-called "smoking gun" video of Zimmerman arriving at the station?

What's up with that video?  I haven't seen it, and I'm unlikely to get a chance in the next couple of days.  I heard on the radio this morning that it shows him going into the police station several hours after the incident with "no evidence of a struggle" or something like that.

Okay, fine.  However- he was interviewed on the scene.  The officers on the scene observed his bloody nose and blood on the back of his head.  If several hours had passed, it certainly makes sense (after having already spoken to officers once and not being placed under arrest) that he might have gone home to get cleaned up.  So, unless I'm missing something, I'm not sure how this is a "smoking gun" at all.

What do these assholes expect to see from a grainy surveillance tape?  Did they expect Zimmerman to have an oozing 15" gash across the back of his head?  I'm sure there are closeup pictures of the injuries suffered by Zimmerman.  Here's another question.  What if Martin's hands/knuckles were all swollen and cut up?  Anyone that has ever been in a fight knows what can happen to your hands.

IMO having them both there is kind of weird.  For them, if not for you.  But I've known plenty of women who decided the only person they wanted in the room (besides medical staff) while they were giving birth was their mother.  So that, alone, is pretty normal.

Obama's joke of a budget was defeated in the House 414-0. Yes, that's right zero. No Party lines here.

Not according to the AP article run by my local rag today:

GOP-run House easily rejects bipartisan budget

The House voted decisively late Wednesday to reject a bipartisan budget mixing tax increases with spending cuts to wring $4 trillion from federal deficits over the coming decade.

The 382-38 roll call paved the way for Republicans to muscle through their own, more stringent budget on Thursday, a measure that would blend deeper spending reductions in safety-net programs for the poor with a plan to dramatically overhaul Medicare. The vote also underscored the partisan polarization dominating Washington this election year, with leaders of both parties showing little inclination to compromise and let the other side claim a victory.
...
The plan won praise from outside budget experts. But GOP leaders have been unwilling to stray from party principles on taxes while top Democrats have shown no give on cuts to social programs.

186 George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watch crime captain who shot dead 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, originally told police in a written statement that Martin knocked him down with a punch to the nose, repeatedly slammed his head on the ground and tried to take his gun, a police source told ABC News.

In addition, an eyewitness, 13-year-old Austin Brown, told police he saw a man fitting Zimmerman's description lying on the grass moaning and crying for help just seconds before he heard the gunshot that killed Martin.

Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if it is at least "elements" within the PD.  I heard a report the other day that at least one of the officers (on the scene? after he showed up at the PD?  I don't know) wanted to arrest Zimmerman at the time but was overruled (The report I heard was confusing, so I don't know if he was overruled by other cops, or by the DA's office.  I would think it would be other cops, though- the DA wouldn't be brought in until the cops had already arrested a suspect, would they?)

Posted by: Jimmah at March 29, 2012 05:09 AM (UpwlP)

195 Yeah, I know, I'm a horrible troll for saying this, but... I'm not expecting to see dried blood all over Zimmerman's face and scalp after he was treated. But, no bandage on the "gash" on his scalp? You can actually see his scalp well enough to see what looks like a small nick/scar (one would think if it was a recent wound, the EMTs who treated him and washed his face would've bandaged it), you can see where he was starting to have male-pattern baldness, so you while you might not see bruising or swelling on a dark guy, the video quality is good enough that you would see a bandage. No blood or dirt on his clothes? Head wounds bleed like nothing else. I will be the first to admit I don't have any firsthand experience with guns, and am probably misled by how movies show shootings, but you would think if Trayvon were on top of Zimmerman, straddling him, when he was shot, there would be a little of Trayvon's blood on his t-shirt, no? Yes, if cops didn't believe Zimmerman's account or ignored the fact that he seemed uninjured it would mean that they were lying/conspiring. I don't like that idea, but it'd hardly be the first time. We've seen cops and prosecutors in NC lie like rugs when it suited them (the Duke Lacrosse players shouldn't have been arrested) so why is it impossible that law enforcement might lie if it suits them here?

I'm sure the police took photos of the injuries to Zimmerman and also to Martin (hands cut from punching, etc) and that contributed to the release.  Hell, Ben Roethisberger played a whole football game with a broken nose and from that far away there is no way you could see a crooked nose.

Also, Zimmerman didn't run, the police knew him so if they planned to bring him in again it wouldn't seem like a problem to them.

210 Head wounds bleed like nothing else.

Yes, they do.  That also means that a relatively minor one (say, an inch or so across- maybe less) can lead to a lot of blood.  And it doesn't take having your head actually bashed open to cause death from head trauma.  Someone bangs my head on the pavement, I'm not going to worry about how bad the injury looks.

Also, if the tape is from "several hours" (the way I heard it described this morning) after the incident, and if the would was actually relatively minor, it's entirely possible it had already stopped bleeding and did not require a bandage at all, or at least not one big enough that you'd see it under hair.

I don't know if that's what's happening there, but it's reasonable enough that I'm willing to give the cops the benefit of the doubt.  Especially since there's nothing in it for them just to let the guy go.  If they had any suspicions, it would have been easy enough just to hold him (which you can do without charges for 24 - 48 hours, depending on State, I think) until they'd had more time to investigate.

I've had sons who wrestle. Wrestlers get head wounds all the time. They are never bandaged. Bandaging a unshaven head is never done. The idea in and of itself is retarded.

Also if your head had been rubbed against the sidewalk until it bleeds, it isn't necessarily gushing. Did you never fall down as a kid? Do you not know what a "skinned" knee looks like? Does it "gush" blood or just sorta ooze? If there was hair in the way to protect it? Really, you can't tell anything about a wound on some guy's head who has been cleaned up from a video.

I adore my mother but she is the LAST person I wanted in the delivery room with me. I needed to be calm not driven insane by her worry.

Under the Apple doesn't fall far from the tree principle, my son's say that, although counter intuitive, it's better to have me (mom) take them to the ER since I'm so outrageously panicked, demanding, and hysterical the service is much faster. 244 butterfly strips don't rip out hair, and Zimmerman's head IS shaved in the video. Mostly, though, he looks really neat and his clothes look really clean for a guy who just fought for his life on wet grass and pavement, and then shot someone at close range. Why would they wait several hours before taking Zimmerman in, too? That's a genuine question, is there some reason? It seems like you've got one guy dead, the other guy already says "I shot him"...I don't know from police, so maybe one of you does, but it seems like unless Zimmerman needed to go to the hospital (which he didn't) you would take him in pretty quick. It looks bad. Obviously, that's not the whole story, I'm sure police did take pictures but it still looks really bad. At this point, I hate hate hate to see The Racial Justice Traveling Show be right about anything and it's clear that Trayvon was no chiorboy, but, damn, it looks bad.

For the benefit of the "jailhouse lawyers" that say that the police didn't "arrest" Zimmerman, if you watch the police department intake video, you very clearly see that Zimmerman was handcuffed behind his back.  The case law is very clear: he was now in a custodial interrogation in which he was not free to leave.

This indicates that the investigators were dubious of Zimmerman's account of the confrontation.  However, it seems that the prosecutor's office thought that the proving a criminal case beyond a reasonable doubt could not be attained.  Big surprise, but the video indicates that we are being lied to (again) about the actions of the Sanford Police Department.

260 Why would they wait several hours before taking Zimmerman in, too? That's a genuine question, is there some reason?

We'll try this slowly, one more time.

The cops showed up on the scene within about 2 minutes of the shooting (I'm not sure about Sanford, but nationally, average police response time is 5 - 7 minutes, last I heard, so they were almost certainly already on their way).  The cops interviewed him at the scene, they documented his injuries (with photos and everything), and they interviewed 6 other witnesses.

At that time, they decided it was probably not a criminal offense, and let him go.  I'm guessing they requested he drop by the station at his earliest convenience to verify and sign the statement they took from him at the scene (my understanding is that's pretty normal).  At that point, he went home, got cleaned up, probably shook uncontrollably for several minutes (not necessarily in that order), and then went to the police station.  What else he might have done is his own business, but everything I've heard was that it was some hours before he went to the station- plenty of time for the bleeding to stop and even a butterfly bandage (most paramedics use glue, too- it's faster, and often easier to apply) be removed.

It clearly states, "Zimmerman was placed in the rear of my police vehicle and was given first aid by the SFD.  While the SFD was attending to Zimmerman, I overheard him state "I was yelling for someone to help me, but no one would help me.".  At no point did I question Zimmerman about the incident that had taken place.  Once Zimmerman was cleared by the SFD, he was transported to the Sanford Police Department."

Not because they didn't get along with the grandparents.  But because the mother had some weird lib new age thing she read in a book about other people's energy interuppting "the bonding process" and  totally went off the deep end with it.

Properly done on-site investigations involving a death, particularly one that may or may not be a homicide, proceed at a pace similar to glaciers.  Dismiss from your mind everything you have learned about homicide investigations from television shows. That doubles the paperwork. Last year my son got pulled over. He had borrowed my car which had a case of beer in the trunk. They charged him. He was pulled over at 8pm. He arrived home at 5 am.They don't work quickly. In fact, I can imagine that just having the paramedic clean his wounds and waiting around for all the crap at the scene probably took 5 hours.

The Catholic Church moves quicker.

310 Seems to me if someone says "your going to die now" that it should  be the last words they speak. Regardless of other circumstances. If you walk up to a cop and say that, and then tackle him to the ground, its a pretty good chance you'll be killed.

311 I think it is telling that the WH is starting a PR campaign on Ocare. I think Kagan let them know it is 5-4 against, and the law is going to be dumped. So they are starting to rebrand it to use it as a campaign issue (those conservatives took away YOUR healthcare) If it was going to survive, they wouldn't rebrand, because Obama would be taking a victory lap. Fairly certain that the decision has been made. Now starts the process of writing the opinions. The British actor who played bully Vincent Crabbe in the "Harry Potter" movies was jailed for two years Tuesday after he was convicted of violent disorder during the London riots in August last year.

Jamie Waylett was captured by security cameras on a number of occasions during the riots in Chalk Farm, north London, swigging from a stolen bottle of champagne and carrying a petrol bomb.

The 22-year-old was part of a gang of at least four people who took to the streets during the third night of violence in the capital, London's Wood Green Crown Court heard.

The actor, of West Hampstead, north London, admitted handling stolen goods -- the bottle of champagne that had been stolen from a supermarket.

324 CHICAGO (AP) —But Obama, who faces no serious challenger for the Democratic nomination, has sunk his cash into an expansive brick-and-mortar operation with offices in nearly every state. His campaign has spent more than $135 million on operations through February, according to an Associated Press analysis of Federal Election Commission records. That's about $3 million more than all his GOP challengers combined.

A review of Obama's balance sheets reveals a small army of paid staffers trying to help the Democratic president win a second term. Campaign filings list more than 330 paid staffers in Chicago and 200 more spread across the country — payroll costs that exceed $6.3 million during the last two months alone.

342 Dagny, I don't doubt that it was several hours to get Zimmerman cleaned up and paperwork done; that makes sense. I don't deal with cops regularly but do deal with county morgue and they are slower than molasses in January, like most government anything. What doesn't make sense (which is where one of you can tell me if it makes sense to you) is that he doesn't have any of his own or Trayvon's blood on his clothes, unless the paramedics also gave him clean clothes. Do they do that and then take the bloody ones in as evidence? EoJ said that Zimmerman probably went home and changed clothes, which didn't make sense to me. But, yeah, nobody knows and I have no willpower when it comes to this topic so I'm shutting up. 350 #98, I don't know how that house is even legal. In most places a minimum square footage for a bathroom, kitchen, and 100 SF of dedicated living space is required for a non rooming house dwelling. Usually it's something at a bare minimum (without counting all the accessibility requirements in some places) 5'x10' for a kitchen (sink, cook-top & oven required), 5'x8' for a bathroom with a sink, toilet, & tub required (to do laundry), and 100 SF of living space per person. There are also requirements for the size and number of windows for ventilation and egress of sufficient size to accommodate a firefighter in full  gear.

Composting toilets have been made legal again in some municipalities because of the 'green' fad. They are horrible and one bacterial overgrowth and vent/gasket seal failure away from causing illness or an explosion.

380 obama out to fuck Israel: You bet
--

Timing. Ultimately, Obama won't prevent the military attack of Iran. Remember, Israel wants the US to do it.

Obama isn't the first (merely the current) POTUS globally advancing the House of Saud Wahhabi Caliphate, complete with it's origination of the Muslim Brotherhood Jihad terrorists in league with aggressors.

It no longer takes a skeptic to expect the current world leadership including globalist financial corporations to not only destabilize Iran, but ultimately Israel as well as the USA and everyone else. Divide and conquer is hardly new.

Obama's administration, scoffing at the Constitution and any feign to impeach, clarified before Congress that sovereignty "is" no longer.

You'd think Ron Paul wouldn't be the only Republican POTUS candidate platformed on constitutional integrity, national sovereignty, citizen LIBERTY and a solid Dollar. As is, Romney won't personally/politically take a constitutional stand, directly diverting constitutional interpretation to "constitutional candidate" Ron Paul in debate, and beyond debate relegated to Romney's self interested and globalist interest lawyers.

No, morons. I did not say that Romney campaigns to fuck Israel. But today, every POTUS is elected under the auspices of globalists whose monthly exploits play us all against everyone.

Since Ron Paul's voting record substantiates his authorization for Israel to defend itself regardless of UN, US or any foreign directive to stand down, and his ideology aligns with that of Austrian Jewish Economists, don't foolishly repeat lies that Paul is antisemitic, hates Israel, and/or wouldn't effectively militarily defend the USA given Congressional Declaration of War.

National sovereignty matters to everyone, including Iranians who are among the most intellectual people of the earth. Shiite extremism does not represent Iranians protesting their theocracy. Think again how many nations the US injures and offends by ordering that the world no longer buy Iranian crude oil. The US is acting as an empire against India, Australia, Eastern Europe, Russia and Asian countries, nations that DEPEND on Iranian trade for the literal survival of their populations. The economic boycott of Iran is not winning any hearts and minds of our own allies, let alone of Western friendly Iranian civilians. (Note the elitist hypocrisy: Americans revolted from the British Empire when such economic mandates were levied against us halting free trade.) Causing international banking conglomerates to seize Iran's Central Bank, looting the livelihood of every Iranian citizen, leaves every nation's banking system to be pirated, not simply Iran's or the Vatican's, etc. And "fire in the belly" Keynesian "Repo Men" Romney will not face down the Federal Reserve, let alone the globalist finance industry advancing global warfare. Indeed, Romney's enjoying his ride on the interventionist bandwagon.

It would be easier to encourage national stabilization throughout the world than global destabilization were civility the point. "Work smarter not harder." Israel isn't alone under threat. And starting a war doesn't end wars. Joining in WWI did not end all wars. Neither did reassigning where populations could live, national boundaries. Finally, genocide is not humane.

386 Blogs — particularly a blog of big legal ideas called Volokh Conspiracy — have been central to shifting the conversation about the mandate challenges. At Volokh, Barnett and other libertarian academics have been debating and refining their arguments against the mandate since before the ACA was signed. At the beginning, law professor Jonathan Adler fleshed out the approach that came to typify the elite conservative response for the first months of the public debate: the Founders never intended for the Constitution to permit such broad federal power, but given New Deal-era precedent, the mandate, if it became law, would pass muster. Things changed on Volokh around the time that it became clear that an insurance mandate would be part of whichever health care reform package passed into law.

None of this would be questioned, The Herald says, if the 60-year-old driver, Susan Mait, hadn't dropped her phone on the floor of her SUV when cops yanked her from the vehicle. She was on the phone at the time with a Geico service rep who, per company policy, was recording the conversation.

The audiotape depicts a starkly different scene from what officers Nicole Stasnek and Derek Fernandes declared in their official reports and told the court under oath.

SILVER SPRING, Md. - A manager at the Transportation Security Administration has lost his job after being arrested on prostitution-related charges. According to court documents, the agency had received a complaint of "very similar" activities back in 2009.

Bryant Jermaine Livingston, 39, was arrested while on the job as a supervisor of TSA agents at Dulles International Airport. The Manassas, Virginia resident, said by phone he is innocent of the charges, but declined to discuss the details of the case.

According to charging documents, on February 15th, Livingston used cash to rent a room at the Crowne Plaza Hotel on Georgia Ave. in Silver Spring, Md. The hotel manager recognized Livingston as a previous customer who, on earlier occasions had "groups of males and females frequently entering and exiting Livingston's room," according to a court document.

Zimmerman's father went on the local FLA Fox channel to make a statement regarding his son.  Whether the details are true or not is of course up to an investigation to determine, but what he says his son told him does help clarify a bit of what we've    heard     from earlier     reports.

The father also said,     "I never foresaw so much hate coming from the president, the Congressional Black Caucus, NAACP, every organization imaginable is trying to get notoriety or profit from this in some way, but thereÂ’s so much hate."

To which I must sadly say, "Mr. Zimmerman, if you didn't foresee this, then I'm sorry you had to have your eyes opened in such a tragic and traumatic fashion.   This is what     they do and this   is what they've always done.   Welcome to your rude awakening."

447 I'm fairly certain I read somewhere that the Mexico trip was a school activity unrelated to the actual vacation break. Sort of like a "senior class trip" in a regular high school, but longer and in a more exotic locale.

I thought I read it wasn't a school trip.  And if it was, reports said she went with '12 of her friends'.  If it was a 'senior class trip' wouldn't there be more of them?

451 413 Since the police have no problem releasing the surveillance videos, why don't they release the close up stills of Zimmerman's injuries and get this over with? ----------------------------------- I have no proof, but I don't think Sanford PD released that video. They have no interest trying this case in the public sphere. But you know who does? The US Justice Dept. They have been in Sanford for some time now, and my guess is they have access to all the evidence in this case. Think about it.

Sidwell Friends is where the uber-rich in DC send their kids.  They all get in to whatever colleges they want and I doubt that their parents give a shit when they go on vacation.

453 And do the spoiled rich kids at their frou-frou private school hate those two for being even more spoiled than the rest? Well, they hated them, sure, but then got a free trip to Mexico with all the tamales they could eat of it so . . .

I said LIKE a senior class trip, not one exactly.  Just in the sense that it was a school trip that involved schoolchildren taking a trip on school time.  Possibly it was her Spanish-language class, or her Geography class.  No idea.  But I'm certain I read it was a school trip.

457 Two things that TV dramas have over emphasized. How loud a gunshot is, and how much bleeding there is.
=============================
I shot a bull elk years ago with a .30-06 at about 40 yard. Accidentally had 150 grain bullets. Behind the shoulder blade but missed the heart. Had to track him over 3/4 a mile. Would catch splatters of blood smaller than your fingernail every 10-20 feet. When I gutted him out, pulled out double handful chunks of coagulated blood--all that blood inside but less than two cups probably leaked out.

I don't think we've been told what caliber of gun nor the grain of bullet so, I don't know how comparable this story is except to say nature designed her animals to NOT leak blood.

Actually, they're not tapes, they're decryptions of intercepted Soviet diplomatic cables sent to Moscow.

And as for the Rosenberg's guilt, Morton Sobel, a member of the ring who did time in Alcatraz, a few years back admitted they were all guilty as sin. (Guess he was a paranoid right-winger too.) Even the Rosenbergs' kids accepted their guilt then (IIRC).

476 As to bruising on Martin's hands: the funeral director is saying he saw none. However, he is not a forensic pathologist. When your heart stops beating, you will get little seepage from broken capillaries. They have to perform microscopic tissue examination to detect it. As to Martin's blood on Zimmerman's clothes, there may be a small amount. If you want to see a large amount of blow back as a result of a shotgun blast at close range, watch Into the Abyss. It's actually pretty sickening. Poor woman was making cookies when little angel face teenagers knocked on her door and brutally murderer her.

1. It is not the job of law enforcement to announce their suppositions regarding an ongoing investigation and release evidence to the public at this time.

;;;

2. It is the job of the public to remain calm, not jump to conclusions and let the process take place.

;;;;

3. People get killed every day. Why is this homicide getting all the attention? Because some people wish to use it for political gain.

;;;

4. Didn't you people ever watch Columbo? Read Sherlock Holmes stories?

Watch Court TV? Things are not always as they seem at first.
