Only two of the items to be killed are specific to oil companies. ALL the rest are normal deductions that all businesses get. In short, he is singling out oil companies for tax "punishment".
Luckily the bill was defeated and the defeat was "bipartisan". And also be sure to read section 6.3

Too bad that bull shit ruling by the Supreme Court in NYT vs Sullivan made it virtually impossible to sue a newspaper. (another bad case makes bad law ruling) Of course such rulings only encourage what happened to one of The State's founders back in 1903 when a politician thought the paper had wronged him and shot him dead on the streets of Columbia. And got away with it.

Perhaps we need an amendment to limit bills to one topic only and no more than 50 pp. Of course we need a lot more amendments and perhaps even a new Constitution that makes the old one even more ironclad with no wiggle room for courts.

FIFY, Vic. Also, I was watching Lou Dobs last night, he did a good segment on this. He showed that eliminating the "subsidies" the oil companies receive would generate something like 0.0008% of the federal budget in additional taxes. A total joke proposal from a total joke of a president, and our joke media laps it all up.

That would go a long way. Reword it to say "the States may not enact laws to prevent or hinder trade between the States". That was the original intent.
And make and entire section giving the authorities and limitations of the Supreme Court.

I used to safety-pin the ankles of my acid-washed jeans. Teenagers are idiots. You can pinpoint the beginning of the end of Western Civilization to the invention of "teen culture". But there's a chance they'll grow out of it...unlike those middle-aged women (spinsters, divorcees, empty-nesters) who buy those realistic-looking baby dolls with the "lifelike skin" and treat them like real babies.

anyway, so i'm thinking to myself there should be a consequence, but what consequence for outright lying, incitement to cause mayhem purposefully, that wouldn't quell free speech?
so would having mfm have to announce they are clearly bought and wedded to the progressive party , and recently escaped a mental isntitution work?
or for one like fox media , a mixed bag of the republican party , liberals and disfunctional smokers of something not legal thrown in?

SANFORD, Fla. (AP) — An elderly couple has reached a settlement with Spike Lee after the pair said they had to leave their Florida home after the director help spread a Twitter posting listing their address as that of the man who shot an unarmed teen.
The couple's attorney, Matt Morgan, announced the settlement Thursday. Morgan says Lee called them to apologize for retweeting their address. Specifics of the settlement weren't disclosed.
So Shit Lee is sorry for sending out the wrong address. It doesn't matter who's address he sent it shouldn't have been done in the first place even if it was Zimmerman's. He has no right to send out anyone's address. The little prick should still be sued out of existence

WASHINGTON (AP) -- U.S. consumers boosted their spending in February by the most in seven months. But Americans' income barely grew and the saving rate fell to its lowest point in more than two years.
The Commerce Department said Friday that consumer spending rose 0.8 percent last month. However, income grew only 0.2 percent, matching January's weak increase. And when taking inflation into account, income after taxes fell for a second straight month.
Consumers are spending more after the best three-month
hiring stretch in two years. But few who already had jobs saw big pay
raises.
All signs of a glorious recovery!!! The Obama economic golden age continues!!!

I know, right? I'm surprised that at the end there weren't a bunch of burka wearing women making that irritating trilling sound while a couple of hooded jihadis shot M-16s (AK-47s) into the air.
So, the history of the moon is as follows: Hot rock cools, hit by multiple other hot rocks (the sound of which hitting would not actually be heard, since there is nothing in space to transmit sound - I apparently now know more about space than NASA can recall), and now hangs in space, a cold, large rock (which does provide some pretty wicked surfing on Earth, occasionally.
