Good Morning Morons. Today is Monday, March 5, 2012. On this day in 1770 the Boston Massacre occurred during the buildup to the revolutionary war. A crowd of drunk rabble rousers taunted British troops into firing into the crowd killing 5 Bostonians. Also on this day in 1963 we lost one of the best female torch singers of all time, Patsy Cline, who died in a plane crash in Camden, TN.

Corrupt AG Holder to release legal justification for targeted killings of American Citizens overseas today. I am somewhat ambivalent on this one. I would like to see something more than a citizen being placed on a "terror" list and then targeted based on "somebody said". However, irrefutable evidence that an individual has taken up arms and is actively engaged in war against the U.S. is suitable grounds. Showing this evidence to a judge and getting a ruling for a go-ahead would, in my opinion, satisfy the requirement for due process. In addition, this need not be a civilian judge as these actions fall under the military.

You know what I say. We need to be writing down Fannie and Freddie and allowing them and the mortgages to go under. Throw all of them out on the street and auction off the homes at a Sheriff's auction. That is what is going to happen anyway when the dead beats don't pay their taxes. And you can bet youre sweet ass there will be no "forgiveness" there.

Dailly Caller now investigating the behind the scenes activities of the thugs in SEIU.
Quote:
Incorporated by the SEIU as local non-profits, the groups are waging concerted local political campaigns to publicly attack conservative political figures, banks, energy companies and other corporations.
Each local group has portrayed itself as an independent community organization not tied to any special interest. But they were founded, incorporated, and led by SEIU personnel.
End quote
These groups are once again "non-profits" meaning they operate tax free and are working side by side with assholes like the occutards. Which is why the Dem controlled urban centers are not pushing the occutards. This investigation should be interesting. Should we wonder if the IRS is hounding them like they are local Tea party groups? Folks, as the occutards become more and more violent, and being aided and abetted by union thugs, and left to do as they will by compliant urban political machines, this can not end well.

I had a good friend who father was a wildlife officer in NV. He described that area out West as being extremely hostile to federal authorities over the fact that the feds had gathered up ALL the land and had blocked off access to water. He said that if the U.S. ever had another civil war it would start there. He said there were already instances of ranchers being "up in arms". This is the kind of stuff you never hear about or read about in the MFM.

Another way to look at relics and indulgences is that if they had never existed, there would be no Protestant churches.
We would all be Catholics or Mormons if we wanted to be Christians (or maybe Coptics).

51 I think that you would consider it a relic more than a sacramental. A sacramental is more of, say a scapular or a rosary or holy water. A relic is a physical piece of either something importatnt to Christianity like the cross or the shroud of turin or a piece of a body of a saint or something they owned. The reason the body is important is that we are to be united to our bodies at the second coming. We believe that a Saint has definitely made it into heaven. His/her body will be reunited to him/her later. No one is idolizing or worshiping saints' or relics but is looking at them more like grandma's picture or dad's WWII medals. They are just reminders of a particularly good person. Catholics believe that the saints are in heaven, within the sight of God, and through Jesus can hear our prayers and because they were human might be more inclined to answer those that have to do with their lives.

Anyway.. Catholics do not worship relics, nor do they worship the Saints that go along with them. They pray to those saints for intercession with God. That's why you have so many "Patron Saints" of various stuff.
For instance, Saint Anthony is the Patron Saint of Lost Articles.. so you pray to him to, for want of a better phrase, put in a good word for you with God in helping you out in finding whatever you lost. I shit you not.. this is the way it works. The whole point about sainthood is that these people have been guaranteed by the church to have made it into heaven. So, a prayer to them goes straight to the top, so to speak.
You could do hours of comedic skits on the Catholic Church's weird stuff.

I believe that contraception has nothing to do with
the price of gasoline,
the failure of the housing market based largely on Democrat policies, the collapse of the dollar,
the president's plans to seize guns from Americans,
the eight million jobs that the president has destroyed,
Iran on the verge of getting a nuke and the general collapse of the Middle East into an Islamofascist nightmare,
and the list goes on and on. This president is a failure at best and an enemy to America at worst, George/David/whoever.
What this abortion mandate does involve is the destruction of the First Amendment by this president. I believe in the Constitution, and he does not. It's that simple, Shep.

The current argument from the Dems is that Republicans want to ban contraception. I'll repeat a post I did on the overnight thread responding to CC:
What's more anyone who thinks Sanatarium is going to ban contraceptives is a damn fool. Even if he wanted to it would be impossible. Unlike abortion there is no ground swell of support to ban contraceptives.
In fact, prior to that incredibly bad SCOTUS ruling on the CT law almost no States prohibited contraceptives. Even in bible belt GA in my childhood days there were rubbers available in the pharmacies and gas stations.
Personally I think the Supremes used that stupid ruling simply as a stepping stone for Stare Decisis to go after abortion, which a damn lot of people did care about.

St. Laurence was Archbishop of Dublin back in the 1100's, and died without writing a will because (it is said anyway) he died without a penny. His heart is all that's left of him because his body was moved to England during the 1400's, where it too was stolen during the Reformation. The reliquary in Dublin was basically a wooden box with bars on it so it's not like it was an inpenetrable fortress or anything, but what exactly is the market for stolen saints' hearts? In any event, WTF is wrong with people - is this kind of crime really necessary?
Also, in that same church is the replacement effigy in which Richard de Clare (often called Strongbow in the West) is laid. I would have stolen one of his +5 Arrows of Slaying instead.

My mom is a Republican, but not neccessarily a conservative (fairly pro-abortion, she's a nurse practicioner in NYC). I started telling her this story over the weekend. Before I'd even mentioned Rush, I told her what the girl claimed in front of Congress and my mom butt in with a, "how the hell is she spending that much on contraception?!? She's either getting a monthly abortion or is getting fucked all day!" When I got to Rush's 'slut' comment, all my mom could say was, "well she's either a slut or a liar." Attacking Fluke is a winning issue for us.

Oh, and I have dibs on Fluke as my 4th wife under Sharia. I plan to take advantage of those wife beating rules.

I think so too. My husband actually put me on the phone I think because he didn't want to talk about sex with his mom. She's less uptight than he is. I keep telling him he's a man of the 90s. The 1890s. We're on the 26th year of me driving him crazy. heh.

As I've stated here in the comments previously, I've importuned God to damn this Fluke woman, and continue to do so within the confines of my strong-form Catholic faith. For the sins she commits two by two, let her pay for them one by one.

Good morning, all!
So happy to see that Jake Tapper was being a whiny little bitch over the weekend. Sometimes he shows moments of NOT being completely in the can for the left, but those moments are getting further and further apart.
Face it, Jakey. Fluke is a lying slutbitch. Learn it, love it, be it.
On a completely unrelated sidenote, can anyone recommend a good introductory text on meteorology? I've always been fascinated by weather and I'd like to take the time to learn more about the actual science behind it all. I took one semester of meteorology back in college, but that was (dear Lord) ten years ago, so most of what I learned is faded or gone completely. My biggest problem is that so many of the "meteorology" textbooks out there are equally concerned with "climate change," despite A) climatology being a largely separate field of study, and B) AGW being a complete hoax and redistributionist scam. I'm much more interested in the immediacies of meteorology than the long-term views of climatology, though both are equally fascinating.
I know we have some science folks in residence here at the HQ, so I'd love to get your recommendations if you've got them.
PS -- My work keeps dickering around with what it considers a "social networking site," so I tend to end up being blocked from posting at odd intervals. So if I don't respond, that's probably the reason why.
I know, I know -- I should be focusing more on work. But there's only so much Access one person can handle in a day, dammit!

Don't know if it was discussed here but I caught one segment and it was set up in UT (or somewhere heavy with Mormons) and a "Mormon" guy pretends to break up with his fiancee after she reveals she's not a virgin. And he goes on and on about how she has ruined his dream of a perfect temple wedding.
And of course the trip appeared to be "look at these hillbilly backwards mouth-breathers who won't even bother to raise a finger to help a poor innocent girl as she gets verbally abused and humiliated in public for not living up to their old-fashioned, stupid beliefs!"
(That's what I took away from the bit I caught.)
I know some Mormons very well and I found the whole thing pretty damned offensive. That's a big reason I didn't want Romney: These guys have no soul and nothing is sacred. A lot of good people who do a hell of a lot more good in the world than the whole left combined are going to be insulted, smeared, lied about and very likely physically attacked all in the name of re-electing their marxist hero. And I'm afraid that the social conservatives will stand by on the misguided "enemy of my enemy" theory as they see Mormons as a bigger evil than marxists.

I don't think we have near a good idea of just how much he is working to fundamentally transform America--it's not just the things we see. I fear the reality is, they have been working non-stop behind the scenes putting these people in this bureaucracy, this regulation here and that ruling there that will never be undone and permanently tilt the field further in their favor.
That's why I was so big on Perry: He was tho only one talking about how we need to do more than just pass a few, better laws (Hi, Mitt), that we needed to begin the process of dismantling the entire machine--it is not the laws at this point that is the boot on the neck of America, it is the regulations, the drones and the agencies that are the problem. Unaccountable, unchanging and unresponsive, day after day they churn out inefficiency, waste and oppression for no other reason but that they can.

Quick question: I can't physically get on Twitter right now, but I'd like to post an "I'm with Rush Limbaugh" tweet from my phone. Is there an appropriate hashtag? Something like #RallyForRush?
Also, my own personal Fluck joke:
QUESTION: What do you say when a political whore calls an oversexed slut?
ANSWER: "Sandra, the President's on the phone for you!"

The MFM frames the "issues" for the Democrats. The Republicans have to deny things that never occurred or they were responsible for.

I moved from MD to TX for 6 years in the 90s with a dozen or so other employee relocates. The TX HR lady got us a welcome to the South kit including some joke book with a line about "He needed killin" is still a valid defense.
I'd be real concerned if it was just BO, EH and some WhiteHouse Ds deciding about these temporarily undead turbans, but there's actual Intelligence Officers and procedures used. Any disclosures of the internals that let some oughttabe Hellfire'd puke get away with his goat could be a disaster.

Hey Vic, You just stepped in it. I appreciate all the work that you do for the morning post and agree with almost all of your opinions.
Are you joining Obama and the socialists in kicking the Catholic Church when it's down ? I would guess that you aren't Catholic, Don't matter to me.
If the Catholic Church hadn't survived it's roughest times way back when, there wouldn't have been anything for the Martin Luther to protest, and no ergo no Mormon Church.
Yeah, the Catholic church has had many more flaws than it should have, Popes with kids, abuses, etc, etc.
Give the Church a break, it's 90% good and 10% rotten.Media highlights the 10%.
Not looking for an arguement, just a rethink. The lions in the Colliseum weren't eating Protestands. We're on the same side this time.

One more thing, wouldn't it be a perfect plan by the pagan president to have all the believers of one particular God to infight and balkanize over totally stupid shit.
The pagan is not stupid, he has an agenda.
We are arguing about things he could care less about, ignoring all his failures. I for one, will not react to what I may consider slurs about my Religion. I won't slam anyone else's. I hope you will do the same.
Our goal is Anyone But Obama.
Thanks. I've just learned something. Guess I'm a moron.
