Good Morning Morons. Today is Wednesday, March 7, 2012.  On this day in 321 a.d. Roman Emperor Constantine declared Sunday a day of rest and the worldÂ’s first Blue Laws are born.

South Carolina falls in line and declared they will never be revoked there, and they have nothing to do with religion so therefore they are in full compliance with the Constitution.

And I am late getting up this morning so news is late.

Fox and Greta crowing at the skies for huge Romney win.

This is what I said yesterday after CAC's polls:

I think OH will be just about what they figure, a 50-50 split. GA will go full Noot.

What I am more anxious about seeing is turnout. I expect OH to be high, maybe not so in the others.

If turnout remains low it does not bode well for down the road.

That is exactly what happened.  Contrary to Fox's bull shit Mutt did not "win" OH.  It was a 50-50 split. 38% to 37% with Noot not winning a single district but getting 15% of the not-Mutt vote.  Noot won GA and nothing else.  He should drop out because all he is doing is helping Mutt.

And what was the big issue for OH voters?  Bullshit electability.  They don't like Mutt but they held their nose and voted for him.  That is a bull shit reason for voting for someone in a primary.

I haven't added up the numbers for turnout yet.  To me that is the important indicator, not who "won" in a race of losers.

6 Also losing in the vote yesterday was Ohio Republican Schmidt.  She lost 49% to 43% with two other Rs siphoning off votes.  I gather OH does not have a run-off feature in their elections.  OH Morons need to weigh in on this one, I don't know anything about her or her opponents.

10 Good riddance to Kucinich; the little cocksucker took a few swipes at Kaptur running negative ads as if the sawed off fuck has ever taken the high road.  He never did a fucking thing for his constituents except keep the deadbeats on the dole a bit longer.  I hope his wife hits the road after she gets tired of having his decrepit ass around the house bitching about everything.

The garbage fishwrap doesn't have any of the Repub state steering committee votes since I want to find out if the Tea Party candidates won so they can get worthless fuck Kevin DeWine out of a position of control and we can start getting some decent candidates instead of warmed over shit like Voinovich; although Josh Mandel's win is step one on sending Sherrod Brown packing.

Posted by: stu at March 07, 2012 03:10 AM (uhPd1)

16 Obama is  the worst President in my lifetime by a mile (we haven't had a good one since Reagan). Many support him because he's Black, which is just as bad as if I opposed him for that reason. Obama is an incompetent ideologue out to destroy what's left of the country. Everyone (Black folks included) are much worse off now than they were when he took office. Every single economic statistic that matters, unemployment, energy prices, foreclosures, bankruptcies, deficits, home values,. national debt (to name just a few) are worse now than when he took office. On foreign policy, he alienates our allies and appeases our enemies, he watches Russia re-emerge, China build its military, communism thrive to our south, and the Muslim Brotherhood become prominent. The outlook fcor this country right now is very bleak and MSNBC is nothing but his propaganda wing.

Posted by: stu at March 07, 2012 03:12 AM (uhPd1)

17 Note that Sanatorium won the "conservative" vote. Nice of you to omit the rest of it. 5.) Santorum won a plurality of “very conservative” voters by 9 percentage points over Romney, while Romney won pluralities of “somewhat conservative” and “moderate or liberal” voters.

20 Ohio turnout about 1.2 mil. According to CAC, that's up about 100K from 2008. As you say Vic, up slightly, but no strong indicator of anything, and certainly not a preference for the "winner."

Posted by: BurtTC at March 07, 2012 03:13 AM (Gc/Qi)

21 Santorum was aiming for the Democratic votes in Ohio so he could best Romney in the election. 1.) Santorum won a plurality of Democrats by 20 percentage points and a plurality of independents by 6 percentage points. Romney won a plurality of Republicans by 4 percentage points.

30 From Insty:

“Seven in 10 voters in the seven Super Tuesday states that hold primaries said the price of gas was an important topic in deciding who to vote for in the GOP presidential primary, according to CBS News. Southern states seemed to care most about gas prices: in Georgia, 81 percent said it was the top issue in deciding, while in Oklahoma, 79 percent said it was the most important. In Tennessee, 77 percent it was important. The Associated Press found that the economy was also a top issue influencing voters as they went to the polls.”

31 Considering what expectations were a week or so ago, as least as far as perceptions go, yesterday was a big whiff for Santorum. He had to outright win Ohio, and he didn't even if he ends up a few votes ahead in the popular vote. Mitt's "comeback" looks like a win there even if it's not technically. I would think his folks will be happy with the results. He won everyone he was supposed to and came a lot closer in places where he supposedly had no chance/wasn't supposed to. Sigh. No brokered convention. But, looking on the bright side...at least we won't be talking about contraception and condoms the entire general election cycle like we would have had Santorum been the nominee. That's no small thing. And Romney will beat Obama. He has to. Else I'm damn well going to Belize. :-)

37 Romney won Alaska,  despite Palin's saying she voted for Newt and despite the supposed strong libertarian streak up there.

Palin was on CNN last night (interviewed after voting) and wouldn't say who she voted for,  but apparently she did tell Neil Cavuto.  She also made her lame statement that the candidates need to be "vetted" more and that we should keep this thing going.  And she said that Romney didn't generate "enthusiasm."

Well, I am thinking that there will be more enthusiasm when we get closer to the convention.  And I am glad Romney won Alaska.

I've had to go to Toledo a couple times on work; that was a real eye opener.  Kaptur ran a pretty smart campaign in the Cleveland area, having ads that featured stand-up guys like vets whereas Kucinich's ads just had a bunch of fucking deadbeats who've never worked an honest day in their miserable lives.  Kaptur is lucky the bars are open on election day to attract their votes in November.

43 Civil libertarians slam McCain cybersecurity bill

The bill allows private companies such as Internet service providers to send the defense agencies evidence such as "network activity or protocols known to be associated with a malicious cyber actor or that may signify malicious intent."

Neither "network activity" nor "malicious intent" are defined in the bill, and they could theoretically encompass ordinary emails containing legal protest speech, the ACLU's Richardson said.

"It does appear it includes a hole through which the NSA may be able to drive a freight train," blogged Jerry Britto, a senior research fellow at George Mason University's Mercatus Center and an adjunct law professor at the university.

71 So been playing with my own delegate thing on my spreadsheet based on state's likely to go certain ways. Gingrich has always been at a shitty rate whereas Romney and Santorum seems to trade off the same rate with Laup Nor having a basic 5% or somewhere in that neighborhood. Laup won't get another Virginia contest where he's the 2nd option. California is an interesting one because they have a Top 2 election system so Romney will take ALL of the 172 delegates. There's no ifs or buts about this. Why? The Top 2 Primary System is that whoever has the most votes in the top 2 will appear on the ballot for the general election which in this case it's Romney vs Obama. What if Santorum or other non-Romney candidates won the nomination and Romney won California? California will tell us tough shit and run Romney against Obama on the ballot. The likely delegate scenario: Romney - 1164 Delegates Santorum - 592 Delegates Gingrich - 358 Delegates Laup Nor - 172 Delegates

Last week, our tracking estimate of Q1 GDP slipped all the way from +2.2% to +1.0% in response to disappointing reports on durable goods, construction spending and personal consumption. At the same time, jobless claims continued to improve, consumer sentiment showed a decent pickup, chain store reports were positive, and motor vehicle sales surprised to the upside.

117   45. Newt or Paul should not drop out now.

Romney's campaign lacks it's own "fire in the belly" '08 requirement to "deserve" campaigning for votes. His supporters demand the termination of competition; "no room for you" in the too big to fail "your legal vote isn't counted because we've determined what is politically correct " GOP exclusionary tent.

I look forward to a REAL national convention like those I watched on television in the '60s and '70s. It isn't as if I have high hopes, but see no reason why conventions should conform to the sanitized revisionist protocol that denies constituent voters' voice. Romney's comfort is not due from primary voters or ANY voters; if he can't face the truly intense heat of a real primary campaign, his is a lost cause in the general.

Despite the party's and media's determination to stifle Thompson's First Principles platform from advancing, it was disappointing when Fred Thompson threw in the "First Principles" towel before Texans and each of the 50 States got to vote in the primary '08. (Single national primary election day!) So what if Doom McShame was going to be declared the winner, no matter when competitors quit? The existing Republican Party never has coalesced to implement SMALLER GOVERNMENT constrained by constitutional construct. Rather than requiring each government employee to prove efficiency on the job (Sen. Thompson's bill), the Republican Leadership has provided CYA authoritarian powers to government employees. Ex: GWB executive order to grant the traitorous Sec. of Treasury autonomy. Romney's  international expertise is as the "Repo Men" with the same circle as Paulson and Geithner. In his "firing" of government employees, watch the charade as cronies gain stance.

Stuff the retorts that Romney turns things around -- I'm not voting permission to be screwed. I'm not voting another Keynesian corporatist into office whose belief and record states that "government spending cuts hurt the economy". I'm voting for constitutional governance that defends America and maintains economic prosperity WITHOUT false premise.

Obamalite Romney is the extension of the corrupt status quo, just like McCain remains as proof an authoritarian in the Senate. No way will Romney alter from his own mandate specialty. If Romney were as smart as he thinks he is, he'd have already gained positive endorsements from his opponents. So far, only those accepting bribes have fallen in line behind Mittens.

Where is the GOP '12 Platform? Don't assume ABO to be a platform. Rather, it may be Romney's. Boasting the insatiable materialist Keynesian spender vote hardly qualifies Mitt as the most intelligent or the most perceptive bulb in the pack.

Neither Newt nor Paul should drop out now. Their input into the '12 GOP Platform shouldn't be discarded by the Republican Party or by an "inevitable" ticket.

That probably wasn't HR's call; they were probably one of many entities, including the Legal Dept and ultimately the Board of Directors, that made that decision.  I've been in the belly of the HR beast and it's not pretty.  For example I've seen the tax-advantaged status of an entire benefits package being jeopardized by loading it up with too much swag for top men.  Whenever I was puzzled by an HR decision, invariably it was answered by asking "How does this impact the execs".

Go figure. Most voters do have a favorite candidate already; and many voters still believe in the secret ballot. Unless they're pugilists, they'll never admit leaving a poll which candidate got their vote. And more often than not, people aren't about to permit themselves to be victimized by the media or the public for having stated their views or opinions on national television. If these voters haven't found a "true conservative" what's that to you? Reason to kill. pfft. Rather, these voters haven't been converted by any of the candidates enough to defend them.

156 Ok Morons, I need some advice. I have three boys, the youngest of which is 8. I know that all kids go through times of their childhoods when they have a rough time socially. Sometimes it's early, sometimes in middle school, etc. Anyway, he is in a very small catholic school with 28 kids in the class. Unlike the other two boys he is much much taller and a little chubby (he plays every sport and I watch his food--he's just big--his shoe size is 5 sizes larger than his brother's at this age). Anyway, he hasn't had a lot of playdates from this class but has many neighborhood friends and never seems to lack buddies. There is a new game called skylanders where you buy characters. He recently got Legendary something. All the other boys have been telling him that he is a liar all week. They are not allowed to bring toys to school. I'm taking it today to pick up so he can prove he isn't a liar. Question: do I tell on these boys or do I leave it alone? They're too young to hold a grudge for being told on. We'll have to leave my real inclinations out of it. Typically the school would talk to them about being uncharitable. Leave it alone or get involved?

157 That Lovie Smith story is an opportunity to smack the Left, but with ESPN in the bag for the Dems it'll never happen. If by some miracle it becomes a watercooler discussion item, I intend to be merciless in order to make an example of him. I bet lots of Libs think that that's a perfectly reasonable rationale. Racist shitbags.

Given how badly this cycle's nominating process has gone, it seems to me that the Powers That Be should be considering how to smooth this out for the future.  If the moderate squishes who run the R party actually want to win (which I often question) shouldn't they be figuring out how to get competent candidates lined up a bit sooner?  And maybe investigating them so we can weed out those with skeletons packed in every closet?

Of course, I assume no one will take this idea seriously and do any work toward that end.  It's just going to be our usual bumble/stumble along routine.

160 Everyone should stay in the race.  With the amount of money romney spent, not being able to "blow the field out of the water", doesn't bode well for winning in November.

Plus guys like Juan Williams sounded so desperate for a romney win last night you just know he's the president choice of opponent.  And why is that?  Because the president and romney are on the same page on a lot of things.

161 @163 I don't have kids, but thinking back to when I was eight years old (and knowing it's Catholic school), I would only intervene if your boy asked you to. The kids are at about the 'age of reason' (should be receiving the sacrament of reconciliation next year, iirc) so they need to start developing their own consciences. And I think it could be embarrassing for your son to have mom step in for him unless he asked for the help. That's assuming they aren't physically assaulting him.

Posted by: Y-not at March 07, 2012 05:22 AM (5H6zj)

162 skylanders ugh I would leave it alone. I've had some things where my son wanted to take his in to school and NO I won't let him.ESPECIALLY not a legendary! have you seen what those go for?!?! btw if you need a Hex or Sonic Boom somehow I ended up with extras of them

164 Dagny your son is a bit older than mine but their class sounds so the same! that's a big class, no? It's hard. I need your son in my boy's class - I always joke that he needs a Linderman. He's really skinny and slight, like I was. Poor kid. My daughter is all athletic and strong (but she goes to another school). Always on the lookout for his Linderman!

165 Lovie Smith? The First African-American To Lose a Super Bowl?  True story: in the run-up to Super Bowl XLI, Senator Obama went on Indianapolis TV and refused to say the Bears would win. As if anyone would fault a guy for rooting for a team in a state he theoretically represented when election day rolled around.  Lovie, you fool.

166 Vic, sorry to be a pest, but last time around there were also Dems on primary ballots. Really, am not worried. Plus, who would be excited to vote for Santorum? 170 168 Lol. He's exactly double their size. I don't think he would be embarassed. These kids are working on first communion and they had their first penance a week ago. This school does tend to have a lot of sissy, whiney kids.

I'll buy you all tickets to visit your idol's home.  You can spend years in Jakarta interviewing the other little street kids to find the next affirmative action Precedent of the US.  That country is more your speed, anyway.  The US is a bit too advanced for folks like Lovie.  They don't care what Barky does - it doesn't matter if he reduces America to the worst third world shithole on Earth.  All they care about is "sticking it to the Man/Whitey".  It's pretty fucking retarded.

172 I have a confession to make to you morons.  Last week when Breitbart died, I wanted to change the MSNBC-spewing TV in the lobby at work back to FOXNews, to try to catch Gutfield. But there were no external channel controls on the damn thing (so whoever changed it to MSNBC is either some admin type in charge of the remote, or hatey enough to bring a fluking remote control from home).

So I disconnected the coax coming in from the wall. I didn't remove the coax, because that would be wrong, and the building is full of engineers, so easily fixed.

Nobody has reconnected it.

I'm pretty pleased, actually.

177 . Question: do I tell on these boys or do I leave it alone? They're too young to hold a grudge for being told on. Dagny, I would say they aren't too young to hold a grudge for being told on. Kids are just meaner these days, it seems. I agree with Y-Not, if your son asks you to intervene, then go ahead. Otherwise, just give him lots of support, and love. If they keep insisting on seeing it, take a picture of your son holding the legendary in a place that is recognizable as your home, and let him bring that to school. If no toys are allowed, then don't send it to school. The nuns/fathers will then have a legendary whatzit, and the nasty little bullies will have done their job of getting it out of your son's hands.

Serious LOL.

We have to go into the friggin gym and collect the kids since the accreditors decided that the outside pickup wasn't safe. (Of course it is far less safe now but the parents are liable). Anyway, I thought I'd just put it in my pocket (since I'm always through the door first to avoid the retards in the parking lot) and he could show it to them. I just don't know if this is an ongoing ostrasization thing or not. He doesn't seem unhappy--I guess I should just go with that. He's not the quiet type either. Very logical.

Yeah if some of these little sissies were smart they would attach themselves to him for safety. The black kids on the football team seem to understand that--these little future soccer players don't.

I had no idea Legendaries were so rare--no wonder they don't believe him.

Dagny, I went through that with the Yu-Gi-Oh craze when my son was in grade school.  These things seem like the end of the world to them, but they will soon forget it.  I would not intervene over this, just tell your son that he should not stoop to other people's level even if they are calling him a liar.  He knows the truth.  Find something in the life of Jesus or other poeple in the Bible to illustrate.  I did that a lot with my kids when they were younger and it seemd to help.

My son had the opposite problem of yours, he was and is small and also young (his birthday is in September and I decided not to hold him back because he was smart enough to handle the academics.)  He was teased - never bullied - but also had enough friends from early childhood to weather it.  Sometimes I think it is good for kids to be different in some way, it makes them learn how to handle prejudice and not be prejudiced themselves.  My son is one of the most confident kids I know now.  One of his best friends was huge like your son and was probably teased worse.  He is now a scholarship football player at the University of Virginia, so he got the last laugh on them all.

WELL do we think its better to keep income taxes down and not punish earners to pay for city services or don't we? At least this tossed the burden back to the cities and didn't punish people choosing a modest house so they could invest in their business or in an IRA over the 'real housewives of' types. I don't love Mitt, but the only decent alternative IMO was abandoned by conservatives for a "heartless" comment wrt to in-state tuition and others worried to death that he invoked BDS + those wonderful late night comedians were mocking him and the pussy donors and early state voters couldn't handle it.

Mutt gets 35, Rick gets 21.  This is a virtual tied race.  If they awarded it by district which is legal under the rules, then Rick would have got the majority of the delegates as he won all the districts except the heavy urban ones that will go Obama anyway.

But there is no Republican "establishment" pushing Mutt is there?

#230 Vic, The candidates had to have delegates on the ballots to win them.  Santorum failed to get delegates on the ballot in some of those Ohio Congressional districts.  So this is no subterfuge by the Establishment, it's Santorum's failure to have an organization and understand the rules.  Same reason he wasn't on the ballot in his own freaking home state of Virginia.

Obama beat Hillary Clinton in 2008 largely because his campaign understood the rules of the caucuses and the proportional-delegate states better than Hillary's did.  He lost the total popular vote in all the primaries to her.  Nobody seemed to harp on how weak that made him as a nominee, or how the DNC establishment screwed Hillary.

Thank you, rockmom - this cannot be said enough. I remember the 08 Dem race! Let's not toss it down the memory hole. Hillary was WINNING primaries outright - and yet O was the chosen one, and no one ever questioned him (even as he lost PA by what, over ten percent? and that's a closed primary!)

242 One last thing about your son, dagny. If he is the biggest boy in his class, it could be natural for teachers who don't know better to assume he is the instigator, should a fight break out. And if these kids who are picking on him are the way you depict, they sound like the types who could goad him into a fight. So make sure to impress upon your son the importance of him not getting into a fight with them. I guess if it gets really bad you could talk with his teachers and make sure they know he's the one being picked on. Re Santorum's support. He's not my cup of tea, but I can see why some people could be enthusiastic about him. Basically he was ridiculed for espousing standard Catholic doctrine re morality, the same sort of doctrine I was raised to follow (and did). Even I found myself feeling a certain tribal loyalty to Santorum during the height of the jihad against him, and I really prefer a much more secular type of politician when I can get one. I don't think it's constructive to ask why anyone could be enthusiastic about any of the candidates. There are people who are enthusiastic about each of them. I think it's wiser to try to understand what it is about each of them that appeals to some Republicans so we can build a functional coalition at the convention.

That said, he wants to win. There is simply no way he will be to the left of Obama on things like energy policy. They use a Top 2 Primary System which whoever has the most votes out of all candidates will advance to the general election. Which in this case, Barky will get 100% of the Democratic delegates and Romney will get 100% of the Republican Delegates. Santorum / Newt / Or any candidate that comes out of a Brokered Convention will not be on the ballot in the general election and automatically loses California. Posted by: polynikes - Texan for Romney at March 07, 2012 06:56 AM (jTVGC)

299 @307 I don't think Santorum can beat Romney, not with Ron Paul in the mix. So I think at this stage the point of the primaries is to give the factions in the party (as represented by the candidates) an opportunity to frame the issues, while giving the voters a chance to express their preferences, and to over time come to terms with the eventual nominee. IMHO Newt is back on his game in terms of expressing conservative issues, so I'd like to have his voice still being heard. Yes, he's pulling some votes from Santorum, but since I don't think Rick can win, I don't think it matters much. It's *possible* that as Romney's nomination comes closer to mathematical certainty he will use his campaign resources to do some positive campaigning and ease up on the (really unhelpful) attack ads. That could help shift the folks who really dislike him towards accepting him and start the process of us coming together at the convention.

It is what it is. I don't think Santorum can beat Romney. I could be wrong, of course, but since I prefer Gingrich's messaging over Santorum's, I guess I'd rather see Newt still out there. Also, I think Gingrich will endorse Romney if he pulls out. Just a hunch, but I think Gingrich backers are more likely to go to Romney anyway. I am not sure what I would do (not that it matters in my case b/c Utah won't have a choice on the ballot after our caucus next week). Posted by: Kaitian at March 07, 2012 07:09 AM (et2m1)

312 Just a hunch, but I think Gingrich backers are more likely to go to Romney anyway.
--------------------------

I don't think so.  Noot is only popular in the South and the South hates Mutt. He got two counties in SC only and both of those were urban counties full of Democrats. So yes, he is getting the Democrat cross-over primary vote that Obama will get in the general.

313 "While participation rate drops to 63.7%. Jobs goes up while participation rate drops. Do you see a pattern here? Of course not, you're too busy fellating Obama." You know how much of the general public will care? ZERO. All that will matter is when the good numbers come out Friday and all the papers and newscasts lead with that story. Consumer Confidence then continues to rise and Obama reaps the benefit. This recovery is timed PERFECTLY for his re-election.

314 @324 I don't think Romney has demonstrated much leadership over the past six years. He has business-oriented organizational skills, which is fine, but not in and of itself the primary or even major qualification I'm looking for in a POTUS. I had Romney above Santorum (both behind Gingrich and ahead of Paul) until a couple of weeks ago when the attacks on Santorum geared up, causing me to look into the charges against Santorum. When I did that, I found Santorum to be more acceptable, not less acceptable. At that point I decided I would only support Romney in the general because I believe he is an unprincipled liar.

"I'm aware of the Michigan win but had he not campaigned in that state and spent money on advertising, he would have lost outright. So it was a good decision by Romney to outspend his opponents. Especially when your guy Santorum is a terrible campaign organizer with a piss poor message and keeps falling into traps. Last of all, Romney ain't campaigning for the Democratic vote whereas Santorum obviously is."

And that addresses my point... how? Please stop. It's embarassing how far in the tank you are.

319 @328 It addresses your point perfectly fine. You just choose not to accept the rationale especially when your piss poor candidate, Santorum, was leading by double digits but chose to squandered it by falling into intentional traps. The 4-1 spending by Romney looks to be a work of genius mostly because A) it gave Romney the state B) the spending amount by Santorum netted him a -13 point drop which clearly demonstrates that Santorum is just a bad campaigner running only on social issues. President's don't become president by winning beauty contest. They win it by establishing an organization centered around the candidate, clearly leading people in multiple states, fundraising, advertising, getting on the ballot, and winning elections. Romney clearly excels at all of those whereas Santorum gets a D+. Santorum never expected to make it this far so he built up a piss poor platform, talking too long instead of to the point, whining consistently about conspiracies against him, failing to get on ballots or even get delegates established to gain delegates in his favor, and keeping the momentum.

There's an old Willie Nelson tune with a line that goes, The last thing I needed, the first thing this morning was to learn you'd walked out on me."

Neptunus Lex was one of the great bloggers--a voice of reason with a delightful writing style. You wanted to check in every day to see what he had to say.

My sympathy to his wife and children.  They've lost a great soul.

321 And you want to know who was the last person to fundraise their campaign 4-1 and win the election? Obama when he did not take federal funding instead choosing to fundraise himself.

Posted by: Kaitian at March 07, 2012 08:00 AM (et2m1)

322 So are we willing to accept a candidate that calls "No fair" when it comes down to dollar to dollar like Santorum will or are we going to push for a candidate that will fundraise to oblivion so they can outbid Obama?

I don't see any drag chute lines at the rear of the Kfir that Neptunus Lex died in.  In one of his last posts, he wrote about experiencing a drag chute failure on landing, a "streamer", where the chute deploys, but does not properly inflate.

In this situation, it is necessary to cut away the chute in order to gain enough speed to take off before you run out of runway... the Kfir was, according to Lex, somewhat reluctant to leave the ground compared to US fighters, so this had to be done fast.  Does no chute mean he had cut it away, or that it never deployed?  Or was the acident completely unrelated to any chute malfunction?

324 You are going to be in for a rude awakening when all those social/religious Conservatives don't show up in the needed numbers and there are no boots on the ground to help with GOTV and Romney gets his ass kicked.

Posted by: Greg at March 07, 2012 10:14 AM (J3Ovp)

Nope, from the first win, romney and mrs romney have just assumed they'd have the conservative, social/religious types in the fold, towing the line.  Those initial comments stick with a lot of people.  Yeah, romneys are correct, they will vote but they'll vote all down ticket and not for romney.  Some person out there is trying to get them to uniformly write "protest vote AGAINST romeny".  When they add up the numbers, the republicans down ticket will do fine but not romney.

Posted by: disgusted at March 07, 2012 08:21 AM (oZfic)

325 All the libs are whispering "title 10".  Whatever "title 10" is they won't say until after romney if the nominee but apaprently there are already five devastating commercials in the can using his own words attacking him on this.  Thus the reason they all want him.

Also, he was mentioned in the press conference yesterday and the dems say that was a reminder of MM's campaign to have dems vote him in so that Santorum and gingrich and Paul aren't the nominee and so there is no brokered convention.  Haven't had time to check out all those states where romney won but if dems can vote in the primary, then it's possible they are helping to control the outcome.

326 Neptunus Lex was one of my go-to blogs for morale boosts. A daily visit in any case. First Breitbart, now Neptunus Lex. I sure hope Instapundit's taking good care of himself. My thoughts and prayers for LeFon and his family.

327 "Jim Howard

I’ll always think of Captain LeFon as ‘the Skipper’, even though I’m a retired Air Force guy.

I checked his blog every day without fail. His writing could put you in the cockpit of a fighter better than any other aviation writer IÂ’ve ever read.

And IÂ’ve read them all.

Beyond just his writings, he was clearly a really decent man, a real asset to the United States.

He will be missed.

I donÂ’t think Lex will mind if I follow an Air Force tradition and give him a last toast, and throw the glass in the fireplace."

328 128 @124 So you wouldn't have voted for Reagan because he was a Keynesian president (working with Volcker)?

What about working with Volcker makes Reagan a Keynesian?

329 "Can Santorum or Newt Get to 1,144 Delegates?"
Doesn't matter, Romney will get all of Ron Paul's delegates and win. That's partly why Paul is running at all; he wants to get his ideas out there, he wants to help Romney win by attacking his closest rivals, and he wants to get delegates to hand to Romney.

There seems to be a lot of violent lefty hate fantasies lately. I take it as a sign that they're worried.

I also take it as a sign that Ace, and the other blogger types here should be careful. Unhinged zealots, are...after all....unhinged.
