Happy Friday.

Mad scientists in France are teaching baboons to recognize words. The end of our civilization cannot be far behind.

Republicans AND Democrats panned Gov. Deval Patrick's clumsy attempt to insert himself into the presidential election yesterday. He held a hasty "anniversary party" for MassCare and failed to invite that law's key authors. It really was just an opportunity for Patrick to go on TV and audition for a Cabinet role in the next Obama term.

The Justice Department is beefing up its trial team in the Roger Clemens steroid perjury retrial. In other words, the retrial of the failed prosecution will cost taxpayers even more than the first bullshit trial. FLASHBACK: "U.S. District Judge Reggie Walton declared a mistrial last July on only the second day of testimony, after prosecutors showed jurors evidence that had been ruled inadmissible." If it were really illegal to lie to Congress, the President would be in jail by now.

The Obama campaign folks must be ready to scream. The plan for this week was to hit the GOP hard on the Buffett Rule and "fairness." It was going to be the drum beat all week long. Obama had a speech scheduled every day for it---sometimes more than one. But you wouldn't know it from most media coverage. Obama's blather was pushed aside every day. Zimmerman took up two days. Santorum took another. Yesterday was Rosen. And now Obama's big Buffett Rule blitz is officially "old news." The Obama camp really won't like the Third Way poll that Allah wrote about yesterday.

1 Good Morning Morons, Today is Friday, April 13th, 2012.  YES, Friday the 13th.  There is no one favorite reason for Friday the 13th being considered an unlucky day.  Some trace it back to a Norse legend of 13 guests at a dinner, some trace it back to the arrest and subsequent execution of the knights templar, and some base it purely on numerology.   But what ever, it is here so as Phil Esterhaus  used to say "Let's be careful out there".

And finally on this day in 1743 my favorite President was born, Thomas Jefferson.  On April the 14th he began writing the most favored of AOS book concerning stuff he said, He began with the famous phrase "waaahhh, goo ga go blerp" which translated from 18th century baby gibberish means gimme a tit.

3 This is the kind of shit that the damned local zoning laws are supposed to protect property owners against.  But when the local authorities make a mockery of the zoning laws the only recourse is instant lawyer in a can and the courts generally have not been kind to citizens challenging interpretations of zoning laws. Here in a posh neighborhood in FL they want to make a huge mansion a drug rehab house.   Folks, I smell a crony deal here and I swear I think I have seen this house somewhere before.

4 And speaking of smelling a crony deal, the Gibson Guitar case drags on, still with no charges.   This article says the DOJ has "blocked" a civil case from Gibson but I fail to see how they can do that.  They have seized property, some for over 3 years with no charges being filed.   This DOJ should be prosecuted itself under the RICO act as a criminal enterprise.

10 The very definition of chutzpa.  PPH sues TX over new rule blocking abortion providers from getting funding from their health care programs.  One wonders what the grounds of their suit is.   But I am sure it doesn't matter, they will shop around for a judge and find some Clinton/Obama appointee that doesn't give a shit about the law.   My other question would be what makes this federal jurisdiction?

11 Another huge bleeding of taxpayer money due to government malfeasance.  Government agrees to pay Indian tribes $1B over misappropriation of funds. This case has been dragging on for a long long time and the government has actually lost the case a few times but has continued to stiff the tribes.   Do not confuse this with crap like Pigford.  The government mishandled and lost tribal assets among other things going on for 100 years.  When told by the courts to pay up they simply ignored the court order.  I suppose they could have said let the courts enforce the ruling but I think during the last round the courts actually threatened contempt and jail time for the interior department.   Which is what would have happened long ago if this had been a private company.

The question now is "where is the money coming from"?  (yelling heard in the background at the fed, "roll out the presses Joe we need some green")

14 Lissa Weil on FoxB spouting bullshit about Travon killing, stand your ground, and even whether or not Zimmerman was arrested.  She also said prosecutor was smart because the charges leave room to add manslaughter so jurors will have a choice.  As I said yesterday, I do not believe they can do that.  You can't treat a murder trial like a spaghetti test where you throw it against the wall and see what sticks.  And she is supposed to be a former prosecutor?  She is either a liar or one of the most piss poor lawyers I have seen since that great legal scholar Al Franken.   Obviously she needs some donkey punch.  (no link)

We need a Special Prosecutor to arrest and charge Holder and then file RICO charges against the DOJ.

Meanwhile the House should write funding legislation for them by itself. Funding only to clear out the department and fire everyone.

Well,  I don't care what Greta thinks.  First of all,  Greta probably sides with Rosen not only because she is her friend but because she shares this outlook with stay-at-home moms.

Secondly,  one would think with all of the time she spent with Palin,  she would be more sensitive to this trashing of Republican women.  And have we heard from Palin on this issue?  If so, I must have missed it.

37 i don't have a problem with Clemens being retried. I don't if he'll be convicted, and don't really care. So many of MLBs biggest stars of this generation and the previous have been using PEDs, and the league would like to sweep it all under the rug, or at least convince you it's in their past. And they can't do that when the guys coming up for HOF votes are on trial, and their current reigning NL MVP was caught red handed, and got his suspension lifted on a technicality. MLB is a cancer on this nation.

42 The Feds are all excited to use some more new found power:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- Two Kentucky men have been charged with a federal hate crime in a beating attack on a gay man in an Appalachian park, marking the first time the law has been applied in a U.S. case alleging bias over a victim's sexual orientation, authorities said.

http://tinyurl.com/d6ywtpg

Now obviously I don't like people getting beat up regardless of the reason. But what I found galling was their rationale for bringing federal charges -- at one point the truck they were in was on a federal highway.

Maybe next time they can just cite the Commerce Clause. Or the pursuit of happiness Amendment.

I wonder why the guy even made that statement. He must be on par with Lissa Weil.  When they expanded that law in 2009 to include gays they also changed the grounds for making a federal case.  All it takes now is a ruling from the AG that the State authorities have not adequately addressed the crime.

We are missing something for this case.

"Yeah," the employee said, noting they disguised meals as "finger food.:

I was on Twitter and saw the entire thing in real time.  Messina and Axelrod did not get on until it had gone on for almost an hour. If it was a set-up,  they would have been on there sooner,  and they would have issued written statements as well.

My personal opinion,  from looking at all of the posts that I saw,  was that a fair number of average people started posting about it,  then the Romney campaign came on with their excellent response which included  Ann,  and then finally the White House guys showed up to distance themselves.

I believe this was intended as a class warfare attack using Ann as a cartoon character  (rich, pampered housewife) which completely blew up in their faces.  Since I have a friend who knows someone in the Chicago campaign offices,  I can tell you that the "Ann Romney hasn't worked a day in her life" was being talked about by the lower-level peons last week,  indicating it was something they felt could be used.

These people do not understand the average American and have only a few themes which they constantly play,  resentment of the rich being one of them.

I think we should monitor every single surrogate they send out and go after anyone who stumbles in the exact same way as Hilary Rosen was.

The Obama people are not as smart as everyone seems to think.

Nevergiveup - with all due respect.  Braun's sample was unaccounted for for over 48 hours.  I've worked with enough medical labs and urine samples (ten years experience) to know that unrefrigerated and delayed urine samples deteriorate and skew test results badly. It was courier error. Any sample like that would not be definitive and would have to be re-run.  Braun never had a sample prior to that or since then that would indicate any steroid use.

137 "As I said yesterday, I do not believe they can do that. You can't treat a murder trial like a spaghetti test where you throw it against the wall and see what sticks."

Correct Vic.  You have to charge Manslaughter and 2nd Degree if you want the jury to consider a lesser charge.  This is ultimately why Casey Anthony walked free.  The Prosecution overreached and the jury was unwilling to find her guilty of 1st Degree.  Without a Manslaughter charge to fall back on, they had no choice but to acquit.

Dershowitz thinks the judge will toss the case for lack of supporting evidence justifying a 2nd Degree charge. (He is one lib I'm starting to respect)

145 To expand on my earlier comment,  if Obama's team is so smart,  what were the results of this supposed brilliant maneuver using Hilary Rosen to attack Ann Romney?

1. A fair number of people are now paying attention to the snootiness and nastiness of the feminist left.
2. Ann Romney got a lot of good publicity.
3. Some people who are cool towards Romney were  galvanized into support of Ann.
4. The White House was forced into a defensive position.
5. Hilary Rosen's background was scrutinized,  showing she had visited the White House 35 times (vs. 9 for David Petraeus).
6. BONUS:  Eric Erickson, self-identified political genius, was shown on TV to be a fat flawn who completely missed the significance of Rosen's comment and said NOTHING in response at the time.  He says he was thinking of her previous statement and so missed it.   A sharp thinker he is not,  but then I assume that is why CNN hired him.

So if this is the Obama Super-genius Plan,  I think it is not working.

147 There is evidence to dispute that. It was an error. Tests should be repeated upon such an error. We had to re-run urine results for any sample over 24 hours old. Posted by: mama winger at April 13, 2012 08:47 AM (P6QsQ) What evidence? Almost NONE of the sample from MLB are tested with in 24 hours due to the distances involved.

149 The defense never contended that the sample had deteriorated. They simply questioned the technical flaw in the chain of custody.

I heard about the deterioration issue several times in the local media.  My immediate reaction was of course, these test results would have to be repeated and confirmed to show any medical legitimacy. They were not confirmed upon further testing.  Case dismissed.

155 "She also said prosecutor was smart because the charges leave room to add manslaughter so jurors will have a choice. As I said yesterday, I do not believe they can do that. You can't treat a murder trial like a spaghetti test where you throw it against the wall and see what sticks." Vic, actually they CAN add almost any charge they like right up to trial (even after the trial has begun, tho there are special limits on that). The Defendant is, however entitled to be formally ARRAIGNED on the new charge, and has 24 hours to decide on a plea (guilty or not guilty) for it. However, a Murder 1 charge can only be added by a grand jury, so that is ruled out. Potential charges to look for in the future: agg. assault, agg battery, false imprisonment (all felonies here in FL), manslaughter.

159 #161  Michelle Malkin did some digging yesterday.  Her visits were listed with different people,  from various lower level press types up to Valerie Jarrett.  She seems to have quite a wide circle of people she meets with n the White House.

Also,  she works at the same PR firm (ironic that) with Anita Dunn,  which said firm also is handling Sandra Fluke of birth control pill fame and the publicity for the anti-Palin movie "Game Change."

I think that firm is nothing but a contract group for the White House for situations where the White House cannot handle things themselves due to legal or PR issues.

Isee that N.O.W.     is trying to spin Hilary Rosen's comments about Ann Romney to seem like less of an insult, and    is failing horribly.

TERRY O’NEILL (President of N.O.W.): What would we be saying if Hillary Clinton [sic] had said this: that Ann Romney has never, has not worked for pay outside the home a day in her life? That’s my understanding that’s an accurate statement, and that raises the exact issue that Hilary Rosen was trying to get to, which is do Mr. & Mrs. Romney have the kind of life experience and if not, the imagination, to really understand what most American families are going through right now? I think that that was what Hilary was getting out, and so she left out the words “for pay outside the home.”

What a classless bitch.       It's cute that    she's      trying to revise RosenÂ’s statement from “hasnÂ’t worked a day in her life” to “hasnÂ’t worked a day in her life for pay.” As if raising children, battling MS and cancer, and dealing with attacks from her husbandÂ’s political opponents hasnÂ’t given Mrs. Romney PLENTY of life experience. As if every mother who has stayed home with her children is somehow a naive fool who could never survive in the “real world.”

I despise    N.O.W.     with every fiber of my being. Them and all their feminista followers. TheyÂ’d make me ashamed to be a woman except THEY are the ones who should be ashamed.

177 I'm agreeing with Miss Marple.  This was a huge own goal by the Obama campaign.  They've been working on this strategy for a few weeks, planning to neutralize someone they think gives Romney a tactical advantage.

This smells like an Axelrod idea.

The problem they have is they have no core base of beliefs to run on.  Everything is tactical and they have no strategic vision.  This kind of thing ends up blowing up in their faces.  It looks on paper like a cute move, then once they pull the trigger, it blows up, because a lot of people out there DO have core beliefs that a mother raising 5 children is one of the highest goals a woman can aspire to.

They were trying to shore up their single women voters, who they've been worried about since January (because a lot of them are young fresh out of college, and un/under employed).  This was another attempt and it backfired on them.

Good on the Romney campaign for being ready to respond so quickly.  They already are sending out bumper stickers.

189 So true, Stan.

Their only goal is power, and they don't give a shit what they have to do to get it, or what the acquisition of that power will do to the country.

And ultimately, it is why they will lose.  It worked in 2008 because they had no record.  You can put up a blank sheet of paper and let people fill in what they want.  But running a campaign on ideas and core beliefs is much more powerful and effective.  They have none.

210 New Husband Store

A store that sells new husbands has opened in New York City , where a woman may go to choose a husband. Among the instructions at the entrance is a description of how the store operates:

You may visit this store ONLY ONCE! There are six floors and the value of the products increase as the shopper ascends the flights. The shopper may choose any item from a particular floor, or may choose to go up to the next floor, but you cannot go back down except to exit the building!

So, a woman goes to the Husband Store to find a husband. On the first floor the sign on the door reads:

Floor 1 - These men Have Jobs

She is intrigued, but continues to the second floor, where the sign reads:

Floor 2- These men Have Jobs and Love Kids.

'That's nice,' she thinks, 'but I want more.'

So she continues upward. The third floor sign reads:

Floor 3- These men Have Jobs, Love Kids, and are Extremely Good Looking.

'Wow,' she thinks, but feels compelled to keep going.

She goes to the fourth floor and the sign reads:

Floor 4- These men Have Jobs, Love Kids, are Drop-dead Good Looking and Help With Housework.

'Oh, mercy me!' she exclaims, 'I can hardly stand it!'

Still, she goes to the fifth floor and the sign reads:

Floor 5 - These men Have Jobs, Love Kids, are Drop-dead Gorgeous, Help with Housework, and Have a Strong Romantic Streak.

She is so tempted to stay, but she goes to the sixth floor, where the sign reads:

Floor 6- You are visitor 31,456,012 to this floor. There are no men on this floor. This floor exists solely as proof that women are impossible to please. Thank you for shopping at the Husband Store.

PLEASE NOTE:

To avoid gender bias charges, the store's owner opened aNew Wives store just across the street.

The first floor has wives that love sex.

The second floor has wives that love sex and have money and like beer.

The third, fourth, fifth and sixth floors have never been visited.

216 The Divorced Barbie Doll

One day a father gets out of work and on his way home he suddenly remembers that it's his daughter's birthday. He pulls over to a Toy Shop and asks the sales person, 'How much for one of those Barbie's in the display window?' The salesperson answers, 'Which one do you mean, Sir? We have: Work Out Barbie for $19.95, Shopping Barbie for $19.95, Beach Barbie for $19.95, Disco Barbie for $19.95, Ballerina Barbie for $19.95, Astronaut Barbie for $19.95, Skater Barbie for $19.95, and Divorced Barbie for $265.95'.

The amazed father asks: 'It's what?! Why is the Divorced Barbie $265.95 and the others only $19.95?'

The annoyed salesperson rolls her eyes, sighs, and answers: 'Sir..., Divorced Barbie comes with: Ken's Car, Ken's House, Ken's Boat, Ken's Furniture, Ken's Computer, one of Ken's Friends, and a key chain made with Ken's balls.

217 "Of particular concern are certain attempts being made to limit that most cherished of American freedoms, the freedom of religion. Many of you have pointed out that concerted efforts have been made to deny the right of conscientious objection on the part of Catholic individuals and institutions with regard to cooperation in intrinsically evil practices. Others have spoken to me of a worrying tendency to reduce religious freedom to mere freedom of worship without guarantees of respect for freedom of conscience.
Here once more we see the need for an engaged, articulate and well-formed Catholic laity endowed with a strong critical sense vis-à-vis the dominant culture and with the courage to counter a reductive secularism which would delegitimize the Church’s participation in public debate about the issues which are determining the future of American society."http://tinyurl.com/7df4ulx

Vice President Joe Biden said tonight that what he called a Republican-led effort to rollback the rights of women is "real" and will "intensify."

"I think the 'war on women' is real," Biden told MSNBC's "The Ed Show," deploying the politically-charged phrase for the first time on the national stage.

"And look, I'll tell you when it's going to intensify - the next president of the United States is going to get to name one, possibly two or more, members to the Supreme Court," he added.

Didn't Rosen say the Democrats never said there was a war on women?

"Look, I have fought my whole career - I'm no hero, I don't want to make it likeÂ… - whether it's the Violence Against Women Act or equal pay. My entire career as a senator and the vice president is to get to one point: when my daughter is able to make whatever choice she wants and no one question it," he said.

"If my daughter wants to be able to say, 'I'm staying home and raising my kids,' no one should question that."

227 WASHINGTON (AP) -- U.S. consumers paid more last month for food and gas. But outside those volatile categories inflation was mild.

It's a good thing that food and gas don't really affect the economy so inflation is no problem.

And even though hiring has picked up, wages have barely kept pace with inflation. So many retailers can't charge more without losing some business.

A small amount of inflation can be good for the economy. It encourages businesses and consumers to spend and invest money sooner rather than later, before inflation erodes its value

"By describing the act of staying at home with the kids as a “luxury,” President Obama suggested he was on the Rosen-Hirschman side of the cultural divide. And that’s a bad place to be going into an election.

For three decades now, twice as many people have described themselves in polls as “conservative” than as “liberal” (these days, 44 to 22 percent). And in this context, the word “conservative” really means “traditionalist.”

Brushfires like the one Rosen set off are the sorts of things that will convince those conservatives — and many of the moderates who make up the other third of America — that the “war on women” they’ve been hearing so much about is actually a war on the traditional gender roles they believe in.

And that is not good for Barack Obama."

"Losing would send the following message: Despite the unqualified support or Mayor Bloomberg and a daunting, bipartisan coalition of local officials, and despite irrefutable evidence that rising pension costs are crushing local governments and, soon, Albany itself, the unions were too strong for Andrew Cuomo to conquer.

After that, where would Cuomo go to get his mojo back?

Nowhere, thatÂ’s where.

Again, the unions know it.

As does Shelly Silver.

The speaker stands to be a big loser in a successful Cuomo incumbency. Most, if not all, of the new ethics and oversight reforms are aimed principally at abuses of legislative trust. Bought long ago, Silver trembles.

The unions, of course, do the buying — and thus they have the most to lose.

Knock the wheels off the Cuomo juggernaut?

Oh, happy day!

In other words, it’s about pension reform — but it’s not really about pension reform.

286 @256. Mel...Gibson...makes guitars?  OMG.

Forty-something years ago, there was a spirited friendly rivalry between Gibson and Fender fans. Just my luck, Fender now does lame-ass car audio, and the instruments are from May Heeco. By default, I have to back the long-hated Gibson. But I always thought Martin owners were snobs, and sure as hell.

Bad histories. Leo "sold out" (no, actually sold out) to CBS in, what, '65? And his fans were crushed. CBS owned the Yankees, MCA owned National Parks. The Man had vanquished beauty.

Gibson was all about West Michigan hard-headed handcraftsmanship, except for the really great cheapos they also marketed, from the sweatshops and cheap labor of...Chicago. Different times, indeed.  Both K'zoo and Chicago got too expensive to bear.

I ended up with a Dan Armstrong Ampeg fretless. Jack Bruce had one, on tour with Tony Williams; I worked the show, and fell in love.

It's heavy, hard to play sitting down, but it has pretty good politics, so to speak. Above the fray. Unphotogenic short scale, but makes a man of you and your left shoulder. Oh, and, In-A-Gadda-da-Vida.

Posted by: nevergiveup at April 13, 2012 10:09 AM (i6RpT)

I grew up in Pittsburgh a Pirates fan (back when they were good).  Then moved to Baltimore and the Orioles are my AL team (I should say were).  My first 5 years here the O's were great ('92-'97).

Now these 2 teams have the worst owners in professional sports and have missed the playoffs19 and 14 years in a row respectively.  Does my rant make sense now?

I still have the Steelers though...

It would have to be something like this: Z. follows T., Z. provokes a fight with T., Z. gets the better of T. in this fight, and then, with T. helpless and in Z.Â’s power and begging for his life, Z. plugs him.

Now I suppose this scenario is possible in the abstract, but have we heard any facts that correspond with it?

"I ended up with a Dan Armstrong Ampeg fretless. Jack Bruce had one, on tour with Tony Williams; I worked the show, and fell in love."

Remember the acrylic-bodied DA basses?

I'm about ready to revert back to my 4-strings after playing a 5-string bass for around 10 years. This new classic   rock band   I've been playing with  (The  Infidels) does a lot of   songs in the key of A, so it should work.

I received a Gibson Grabber bass as a loaner   whilst I was waiting for  my custom ordered Fender Precision bass to be delivered (with  a narrow maple neck and natural blonde finish, wish I still had that one). It was passable but unimpresive. I thought it was pretty cool at the time because I'd seen a picture of Greg Lake playing one.

The actions of this administration against Gibson Guitars are reprehensible.

443 Just thinking here about the rules of evidence: If the prosecution is relying on Trayvon's mom as evidence that it was her son calling out for help--they are f.u.c.k.e.d.
I don't think she can be a witness as to the identity of his voice without allowing the defense to call as many people as they want who knew George to claim it was he, not Trayvon, calling for help.
'Cause the mom isn't an expert, even if it is her son. So, the judge may rule that she can't even testify.*

Now you know why Alan D. was so worked up.

*Judge Ito lost control of his court; that is as much to blame for that verdict as the sloppy prosecution.

502 @Captain Hate - I used to work in the M.I. (musical instrument) industry before quitting to become a full time musician. I'll just say this: Gibson's CEO Henry J. (impossible to spell last name) has sued a lot of competitors and has very few friends/allies in the industry. I actually think that if it wasn't for his business rep, he might have more industry allies in this issue. It's political grist for the mill for us junkies, but not for Joe Bob's Boutique Guitars (typical Les Paul competitor; Fender sells to totally different customers looking for a different kind of instrument). I can also tell you that, from my experience, roughly 98 percent of all musicians don't care about politics at all. They're just trying to get the next gig and eat. Most aren't rich or famous either.

She was a sad, sick, former professor, probable lesbian, with no children. I remember how happy I was to be pregnant with this child and she said, 'how many is that for you.' I said 3rd, (one was adopted) so only 2nd pregnancy. She just jumped to the conclusion I was a stupid brood mare. This was 90's, Clinton time and was the last time I voted Dem.

Shovel Ready in San Fran: $205,075 to ‘TranslocateÂ’ One Shrub from Path of Stimulus Project

(CNSNews.com) -- The government spent at least $205,075 in 2010 to “translocate” a single bush in San Francisco that stood in the path of a $1.045-billion highway-renovation project that was partially funded by the economic stimulus legislation President Barack Obama signed in 2009

...

The bush—a Franciscan manzanita—was a specimen of a commercially cultivated species of shrub that can be purchased from nurseries for as little as $15.98 per plant. The particular plant in question, however, was discovered in the midst of the City of San Francisco, in the median strip of a highway, and was deemed to be the last example of the species in the “wild.”

I'm sure he didn't confine his GOTV efforts to the City of Brotherly Love, either. He's just one prominent artist who stepped up for The One.

It has the Confederate flag painted on the top, and it's called the General Lee.  That's because the Duke boys were southerners through and through and proud of the south; not because they didn't like "darkies."    But of course race baiters refuse to pay attention to that.   To them, the    Confederate      flag is as bad as the Nazi swastika.

588 +8 Allen is just one poll. Kaine had a tiny lead until recently, now its a tossup, with perhaps a slight lean to Allen. I want more numbers.

Sorry, two in a row now for Allen at +8 -- from the Roanoke Poll link on RCP.  I don't think RCP picked up last months Allen/Kaine values

Likely Republican nominee Mitt Romney has opened a six-point lead (46%-40%) over President Barack Obama in Virginia, according to The Roanoke College Poll. The two were statistically tied in the College's February poll. Republican George Allen maintains an 8-point lead (44%-36%) on Democrat Tim Kaine in the likely November matchup for the U.S. Senate seat from Virginia. The margin is unchanged from last month. The Roanoke College Poll interviewed 603 Virginia residents between March 26 and April 5 and has a margin of error of +4%.  Screening for registered voters (N=537) reduces Allen's lead to seven points (46%-39%) and Romney's lead to five points (46%-41%).

Pretty good....but, if Monty were here, I'm sure he'd make it approach greatness.  But you are trying kudos for that.

Deshowitz seems to agree, from what I've heard, haven't found his comments though.

I did not say they can't add charges What I said is 5they can not charge him with two versions of the same crime for one act. They can't charge him with both manslaughter and murder-2.
-------

Actually, they can do that, too.  Just at trial, there cd only be a conviction of one.  In this instance, they'd probably have a choice on the verdict form of one or the other.

Lemme tell ya, bro, here in FL, the system is strongly rigged in favor of the prosecution.  It's a miracle I get so many defendants acquitted!  ;- )
