— Gabriel Malor Happy Monday.
While you were sleeping, Obama's Secretary of Commerce, John Bryson, was cited for felony hit-and-run for fleeing after hitting two cars in the San Gabriel Valley. He was later found unconscious in his car. According to reports, neither alcohol nor drugs played a role.
Here's a fairly good analysis of the possible outcomes in the Obamacare case and the U.S. v. AZ case. Oh, BTW, the Supreme Court will be handing down decisions in at least one case this morning at 10.
Oh, and Republicans are starting to believe that maybe this Romney guy is serious about kicking Obama out of office after all.
Hey, and Obama's support among Jewish voters has dropped 10 points since 2008.

"This is not a new phenomenon, but the signs are
that neglect is rising. We know that once again times are hard, but it's too
simplistic to blame poverty. Charities such as Christians Against Poverty have
revealed that one in 10 families are in debt, but this is no reason for neglect
- and it's an insult to the poor to imply otherwise. At the other end of the
scale, ask any public school principal and they could tell you of wealthy
families guilty of gross neglect: they pay the cheque for the school fees and
consider that to be the end of their responsibilities."

I'm not sure why anybody gives this fat cocksucker credit for anything other than knowing how to separate fools from their money. Reading his Wisconsin analysis in the WSJ on Thursday all he talked about was how effective the Repubs were in their get out the vote process. Nowhere was there a mention of the word "conservative" or an indication that if you have the wrong message, all the fucking GOTV efforts would go down the shitter. Nor was there any credit given to the Tea Party for the work they did. Before I get accused of being "too angry" the pudgy fuck's organization has done a good job of producing some effective ads against the JEF. But his shilling for the wind power subsidies just shows that TEH ARCHITECT is serving up the same type of big spending shit that lost Congress to the donks and gave us El JEFe.
Also going to Foul Air reminds me of why I stopped posting at that shithole with a couple ignorant trolls managing to derail the whole fucking thread instead of AllahDimwit and Poppin' clearing the garbage out of that poorly moderated site.

I really don't comprehend where people are getting this idea that ace is requiring that we all tell everyone our real names.
As far as google asking for phone numbers, that's not mandatory you know. Neither is giving google or anyone else your actual name. Sure, sure, they want a name. That's quite different from some type of proof that this is your name.

Thanks for the news roundup, Vic and Gabe.
Morning, 'rons and 'ronettes. Today is the birthday (1879) of Friedrich Gustav Max Schreck, an actor recalled as a loner who enjoyed playing odd characters. He is best known, of course, as Count Orlok, the Dracula-substitute in the 1922 F.W. Murnau classic Nosferatu. What is not generally known is how close the movie came to disappearing forever; after its release, the studio, Prana Film, was sued by Bram Stoker's widow for copyright infringement and driven into bankruptcy. Mrs Stoker then spent the rest of her life tracking down every print of Nosferatu she could find in order to destroy it. It is only by sheer luck that the few prints we have escaped her grasp.
In 2000, Schreck was played by Willem Dafoe in the movie Shadow of the Vampire, starring John Malkovich as Murnau. The conceit of Shadow's plot is that Schreck is a real vampire, promised the blood of the leading lady once Murnau's movie is finished.
Today also saw the premiere of the odd 1916 comedy The Mystery of the Leaping Fish, a short starring Douglas Fairbanks as a parody Sherlock Holmes named Coke Ennyday who - in a broad slap at Holmes' cocaine habit - is constantly injecting himself with cocaine from a bandolier of syringes strapped to his chest! The movie was written by D.W. Griffith (The Birth Of A Nation), Tod Browning (Freaks) and Anita Loos (Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. The movie can be found on a Kino International Fairbanks collection from 2001, or a Flicker Alley compilation from 2008, both available on Amazon.
And now I'm off to work. Have a grand day, everyone.

Romney has to start touting his plan to fix things. I'm honestly not sure what it is other than standard generalities. Hammering away on Obama is great and all, and I hope he keeps it up, but he's got to get his plan out to the public, or else the punch-counterpunch thing is going to wear thin really quick on the public.

First, where are you getting that? Yes, that was necessary to comment at the acedark site but I don't believe ace or anyone else has said how commenting is going to work *here*. If so, please point me in that direction.
Second, I actually went to that link and set up a fake account with a fake name and left the mobile number completely blank and guess what? It went through. I completely and utterly agree that google will keep asking for your phone number. That doesn't mean you have to give it to google. That also doesn't mean you have to give your number.
Look, I utterly, utterly understand not wanting to give up real identity. I am simply trying to see why you think ace is demanding that we do that *here* and, as of now, I see no indication one way or another that ace is. Saying what google or wordpress or twitter does is not saying what ace will do.
Again, if there has been a public comment on this from ace, pixy or the cobs, please let me know. Other than that, telling me what other platforms do is non-responsive to my question.

People are slowly starting to smarten up about polling. When I started lying to pollsters some years ago and giving PC moonbat responses, I suddenly started getting my mailbox packed full of Democrat campaign literature and pleas for money from left wing organizations.
I suspect there's some faux-polling going on by unscrupulous people (i.e. the Democrats) strictly as a way to lower costs by using highly targeted approaches to sympathetic voters.
I observed no increase in Republican literature or pleas for money when I was giving more moderate or republican responses to pollsters.
Before answering any polls, interrogate the supposed pollster and find out precisely who they represent and are working for. I've done this a few times and had them refuse to give specifics. That's the tip off that its a faux-poll intended only to sharpen and target campaign pitches. The legit ones, like Nielsen, Time/CNN, Rass, etc have no problem stating up front who they are.

Yet, for anyone concerned with the size, cost, and intrusiveness of government, dark clouds continue to hang over the Romney campaign. For example, if as is often said, “personnel is policy,” Romney’s decision to name former Utah governor Michael Leavitt to lead his presidential transition team is particularly disturbing, especially since Politico reports that Leavitt may become White House chief of staff if Romney wins. As George W. Bush’s Secretary of HHS, Leavitt was a principle architect of the Medicare prescription-drug benefit, which created the first new federal entitlement program since the Great Society. And Leavitt continues to call the program “a success,” despite the fact that it will add as much as $17 trillion to Medicare’s unfunded liabilities. Leavitt has spent the last two years lobbying on behalf of Obamacare.
/it gets much worse...

""He's obviously it, and he's what is left," FBI agent ***** *****, an active member of his central Illinois tea party, said of Romney. "Anybody is better than Obama.""

U.S.-Pakistan Relation At Dangerous Low
The U.S. and Pakistan are starting to look more like enemies than allies, threatening the U.S. fight against Taliban and al-Qaida militants based in the country and efforts to stabilize neighboring Afghanistan before American troops withdraw.
----
WaPo March 2010:
Pakistan said Wednesday that it was satisfied with U.S. pledges, made during a day-long strategic conference in Washington, to increase and streamline the delivery of military and economic aid and to "move from a relationship to a partnership."
"Today, I am a happy man and a satisfied man," Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said in a news conference with Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton. "I'm satisfied because you finally agreed to many of the things that we've been sharing in our discussions over the last, you know, two years."
The Obama administration's primary goals for the gathering were to
create a new level of bonding between the two countries and to win
increased Pakistani cooperation in the fight against the Taliban and
al-Qaeda.

The new veterans hospital planned for Omaha is in danger of being delayed — possibly for years — by other VA projects that are taking far longer and costing many millions of dollars more than projected.
And the planned Omaha VA hospital, slated to open in 2018, already is experiencing cost overruns of its own that could further complicate its completion, said U.S. Rep. Lee Terry, R-Neb.
His least favorite overrun: a $3 million security fence recently added to the project by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs' national construction office.
Terry said the fence is meant partly to keep nonveterans out in the event of a disaster. Terry staffers have dubbed it the “Zombie Fence'' and joked about how it would keep the hospital safe in the event of a zombie invasion.
The Omaha congressman isn't laughing.

"A decision was made to put them in preventive detention for 45 days while investigations are conducted," an official in the Libyan Attorney-General's office told the AFP news agency.
Ajmi al-Atiri, head of the brigade that detained the delegation after it visited Muammar Gaddafi's son, Saif al-Islam, appeared to confirm the officials comments, saying: "They were transferred yesterday to a prison on the orders of the prosecutor-general."
The lawyers appear to have fallen victim to Libyan suspicions that the West wants to take Saif Gaddafi to Europe so he can be tried in The Hague.
