Let's hope this comes to pass. A military take over in Egypt would be a thousand times better than whatever abortion their "democratic elections" would puke up. All muz nations should live under military dictatorships - preferably brutal ones - for the good of everyone else. Let them fight and kill each other to their hearts content. Maybe one day they'll manage to do it faster than their attrociously high replacement rate, and we can finally start to make some progress toward a more peaceful world.

This is all I got -
Today marks the anniversary of the movies' first "scandal" in 1896, as the Edison studio releases The Kiss (also known as The May Irwin Kiss, The Rice-Irwin Kiss or The Widow Jones - titles were very literal in those days).
The film consists of a kiss (obviously), the highlight of the last act of the musical The Widow Jones, where she (May Irwin) agrees to marry him (Edwin Rice). The kiss itself - horribly mannered and utterly ludicrous to modern viewers - was slightly risque on stage; blown up larger than life-size and shown on screen, it was highly scandalous.
You can find it on YouTube.
Here's a little chaser - at the wedding of Douglas Fairbanks, Jr. to Joan Crawford, the outrageously alcoholic and omnisexual actress Tallulah Bankhead cornered the bride and leered, "Darling, you're husband is absolutely divine! I've had him already, and you're next!"
And as a sidenote to that, persistent underground rumor was that Crawford was madly in lust with Marilyn Monroe, finally managing to drag her to bed one night. According to the story, Marilyn - who was strictly dickly - hated every moment of it, later saying that Crawford wanted her to do "things no woman should ever do to another.
Sorry if that's not much. That's the way it is. Have a wonderful weekend, Morons.

Of course, per the MFM that was the end of the earth. Today a Democrat AG can violate US law at will, be party to accessory to mude, perjury, and all around assholery and he press snoozes. indeed, the President can be a member of a communist party satellite organization and they remain silent.

President Barack Obama soaked in the support — and the campaign cash — of Manhattan's elite entertainers Thursday as his re-election team sought to fill its fundraising coffers. Speaking in a dimly lighted, art-filled room, Obama told supporters they would play a critical role in an election that would determine a vision for the nation's future.
"You're the tie-breaker," he said. "You're the ultimate arbiter of which direction this country goes."

Got a bit of news here in increasingly red (in a good way) Michigan. Some vile leftist scrunt was blathering on in the legislature about how vital it is to abort babies after 20 weeks. Those opposing her views raised objections, as one might normally expect in a system where there is more than 1 party.
The little shrew, out of ideas for defending the indefensible, replied "Finally, Mr. Speaker, I'm flattered that you're all so interested in my vagina, but 'no' means 'no.'"
This smart-ass and mildly vulgar commentary earner her a well deserved censure. So, of course, today it's being reported on the news that she was silenced for saying the word "vagina." Obviously this is not the case - she's censured for personalizing, in a vulgar and suggestive way, a public policy issue - while linking the ideas of her opposition to rape. But now it's going to be part of the war on women meme.
I know we're not supposed to be angry here any more, but this kind of thing makes my blood boil. 19th Amendment = Fail.
I will admit this much though - the abortion lovers are starting to win me over. After all, I doubt many babies of conservatives share that fate. A small part of me says "let them kill themselves off."

Former Tennessee Sen. Fred Thompson says President Barack Obama no longer has anything to offer the American people except a rewrite of history, which has put his re-election campaign “between a rock and hard place.” “For the last three-and-a-half years, he has been demonstrating he doesn’t understand the economy and what to do about it,” Thompson told Fox News’ Greta Van Susteren Thursday night. “They came in very convinced that Keynesian economics would bail them out. They were very brash about what they thought the unemployment percentage would be, after their policies were instituted. “Dead wrong about that — dead wrong about the effect of the stimulus . . . So now, they can only resort -- he can only resort – to going back,” Thompson said. “And the reason he stumbled so much lately is because he is looking backwards all the time — that’s his strategy, apparently.”

[While discussing "what it means to be a father"] President Barack Obama’s new “Fatherhood Buzz” initiative to inspire responsible fathers has taken an ironic twist as the commander in chief forgot to pay for his meal after a kick off lunch, reports ABC News. The president had a lunch that consisted of pork ribs, collard greens, red beans and rice, and cornbread, with two active duty Army men and two local barbers at Kenny’s BBQ on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.

NEW YORK - Facing a tightening presidential race and onslaught of cash from pro-Republican outside groups, President Obama tonight got a boost from some of his loyal allies in the film and fashion industry with an exclusive multimillion dollar campaign fundraiser at the home of actress Sarah Jessica Parker and her husband, actor Matthew Broderick.
A party of 50 donors, each paying $40,000 to attend, gathered around a long table just inside the entryway of Parker's four-story brownstone in the West Village to dine with the president and First Lady Michelle Obama. Spotted at the table were actress Meryl Streep, producer Andy Cohen, designer Michael Kors, "Vogue" editor-and-chief Anna Wintour, and actress Olivia Wilde. (Broderick was not in attendance; the president noted he "had a show to run off to.")

"We're going to have to fight for it because the American people are tired, they've gone through a very tough economy. They're still having a tough time. And that's why this election is going to be close," Obama said.
"The other side is going to spend $500 million with a very simple message, which is 'You're frustrated, you're disappointed, and it's the fault of the guy in the White House.' And that's an elegant message. It happens to be wrong. But it's crisp. You can fit it on a bumper sticker.

"You've done amazing important things these past four yearsÂ…. I very much look forward to the things you're going to accomplish in the next four years," she said of the first lady. Parker then turned to the president, standing a few feet away, saying the crowd was gathered "hopefully and with enormous enthusiasm" for the "beloved current and future president of the United States."
