— Gabriel Malor Happy Wednesday.
If you haven't seen it already, scroll down to CAC's poll post below.
In other polling news, 59% of voters haven't heard of Solyndra. 53% haven't heard of Bain Capital. Yes, voters are pretty low-info. But this suggests to me that there are still some (probably squishy middle people) capable of being pushed to one side or the other on these issues.
BuzzFeed has a rather pathetic hit job on AZ Senate GOP candidate Jeff Flake. Tommy over at The Right Sphere takes that apart rather handily.
Remember how the Democrats took an oh-so-principled stand to reject corporate donations to fund their convention? And now they're coming up short of funding? Principles-be-damned, they want to party: "Democrats registered another host committee for Charlotte 2012, New American City Inc., which will accept direct corporate donations."
Kevin D. Williamson over at NR has a nice take-down of Obama on the outsourcing attack. With respect to those attacks, the easiest way to shut 'em down is to point out that even the Washington Post FactChecker gave the outsourcing accusation Four Pinocchios. We should shut it down, and fast. While the attack isn't true, it's possible that it will still hurt Romney if left unanswered.
Rep. Jim Matheson is the first Democrat to say that AG Holder should be held in contempt. Probably not the last. That sound you hear is the exploding heads of Democrats and members of the MBM who claimed that the Fast and Furious probe is merely a partisan witchhunt.

Instead of simply matching the nation's No. 1 and No. 2 teams in a championship game after the regular season, the way the Bowl Championship Series has done since 1998, the new format will create a pair of national semifinals. No. 1 will play No. 4, and No. 2 will play No. 3. The sites of those games will rotate among the four current BCS games -- Rose, Orange, Fiesta and Sugar -- and two more to be determined.

I still want an explanation as to why it's we racist reichwingers who give a shit that 300+ Mexicans were killed by narcoterrorists with guns sold to them at the behest of the US government. Not to mention all the thousands of Mexicans who have had to flee in terror due to said narcoterrorism. Because racism doesn't really work in this situation.

A classified 2009 cable from the U.S. Embassy Moscow said Russia in May 2009 outlined its policy toward the arctic for 2020 and beyond, ... that the region will be used for strategic resources that Moscow is seeking to claim exclusive control over including an emerging northern sea route passage.
“The Arctic region, both within Russia’s legally clarified borders and in areas beyond, likely holds vast untapped resources of oil and gas,” the cable states. “While many Russian analysts are skeptical that any of these resources will be economically exploitable in the near future, the Russian leadership wants to secure sovereignty over these ‘strategic’ resources.”
As part of the arctic military expansion, Russia announced May 30 it was re-opening arctic air bases that had been closed after the Soviet Union collapsed in 1991.

Catfish are prolific breeders and voracious predators. They often push out other gamefish. Not only are they generally not protected but they usually can be caught without limit.
The government restricting fishing methods for this fish and applying the draconian penalties that they use (forfeiture of all equiptment including boats and vehicles) is tyranny.

it is racism to ask those on our borders to come in the front door to be accounted for and to follow our laws so that we know we have a better chance of having a New citizen that respects the law of our country. it is racist to ask that assimilation is the easiest for all citizens new and old , and racist to note that asking for allegiance to this country as a new citizen is just Wrong!,, and racist!

"O is for Outsourcing"
By Bill McMorriss, The Washington Free Beacon
The Obama campaign spent nearly $4,700 on telemarketing services from a Canadian telemarketing company called Pacific East between March and June, a Washington Free Beacon study of federal election filings shows.
Pacific East is not the only overseas telemarketing firm raking in cash from the presidentÂ’s reelection campaign. Obama paid a call center in Manila, Philippines $78,314.10 for telemarketing services between the start of the campaign and March.
Neither Obama for America nor Pacific East returned requests for comment.
ObamaÂ’s outsourcing was not limited to telemarketing. Obama also booked flights through corporate travel company Egencia [that] maintains a large presence in southeast Asia, including call centers in India and China.

"Last week, the president invoked executive privilege to prevent the release of administration documents related to the Fast and Furious operation. All presidents on occasion use that tactic, but rarely after they have put themselves on record, as did Senator Obama just five years ago, damning the practice as a de facto admission of wrongdoing. Does President Obama remember his earlier denunciation — or why he thought a special prosecutor was necessary to look into the Scooter Libby case, but not the far greater mess surrounding Eric Holder?"

According to his "Because I Could" administrative illegal habits, don't be surprised as his campaign would usurp US tax funds, and the taxpayer citizenry complaints would not merit "standing" in court, we being told to STFU while being raped, and the 3 monkey Republican Leadership "reset" mute. This. I love how in our f-ed up modern system you have to prove that you are personally affected by lawbreaking before you can say anything about it. And on top of that, the judge may just arbitrarily ignore your plea, simply because he CAN.
The "justice" system (really just a legal system) is so damn broken it needs a true reset to ever start working right again. That, or for citizens to remind a few judges that they're mortal.

That's a factor, but a pretty small one. Ethanol production only takes the starches - most of the rest goes right back out as animal feed. Ethanol may be reasonably opposed due to the subsidies, but the constraint on the food supply is far less onerous than advertised.
The world wide switch to eating more meat is a way, way bigger factor. All over the Far East there are rice paddies being converted to pasture these days. More profit in animal protein.

All muz should be gone from this country. I've been warning about the muslim European no-go zones becoming a reality here for years, and nobody seems to give a crap. Now it has finally come to pass.
The constitution should be specifically amended to outlaw their vile cult, and then they should be harried from the land post haste.
No muz is a trustworthy citizen.

I'd probably end up getting snagged by a turtle.
Down here, you don't want to noodle a gator. That would be bad.
A few years ago, me and B'Gal were living at her dad's place in a trailer park that had it's own "golf course," 9 holes in a former cow pasture with sections of 8" PVC pipe for the cups. It sat right next to the headwaters of the Manatee River and had two ponds with gators who would occasionally stroll over to visit their cousins.
I was on the second hole one afternoon when two of them decided to go from one of the ponds (which you had to shoot over for the next hole, BTW) back to the creek. The first one, a six-footer was followed by an eight-footer who made a display at me (I was about 40 ft. away).
With nothing between me and said gator but a pitching wedge, I figured I could complete that game sometime later. It lends a whole new meaning to the term "water hazard."

Out in the campo (country side) near a harbor frequented by fellow gringos. I was surprised by how many Americanos and english-speaking Euros were there. Escapees - fleeing their governments. Almost every one of them that I spoke to told the same story. Some were libtarded, but not many.

But of course the DNC will utilize PACs.
Expect Obama to approach US Corporations and global corporations to fund his career, AGAIN. It isn't as if grassroots paid his way into elected office. Votes are easier to fabricate given centralized software in Spain counting the beans than the paper (money) printing press up for grabs.
Now that Obama has successfully ransacked foreign central banks for NATO, and the Euro isn't behind his re-election, he's giving away all American valuables in trade for backing, and federally funded "free money" credit "food" cards for votes to include all non-US citizens he's invited to participate unconstitutionally in the US election.

May 30th
Just moved to Texas. Now this is a state that knows how to live!
Beautiful sunny days and warm balmy evenings. Mountains and deserts
blended together. What a place! Watched the sunset from a park
lying on a blanket. It was beautiful. I've finally found my home.
I love it here.
June 14th
Really heating up. Got to 100 today. Not a problem. Live in an air
conditioned home, drive an air conditioned car. What a pleasure to
see the sun every day like this. I'm turning into a real sun worshipper.
June 30th
Had the backyard landscaped with western plants today. Lots of
cactus and rocks. What a breeze to maintain. No more mowing for me.
Another scorcher today, but I love it here.
July 10th
The temperature hasn't been below 100 all week. How do people get
used to this kind of heat? At least it's a dry heat. Getting used to it
is taking longer than I expected.
July 15th
Fell asleep by the pool. (Got 3rd degree burns over 60% of my body.)
Missed two days of work, what a dumb thing to do. I learned my
lesson though: got to respect the ol' sun in a climate like this.
July 20th
I missed Tabby (our cat) sneaking into the car when I left this
morning. By the time I got out to the hot car for lunch, Tabby had
swollen up to the size of a shopping bag and exploded all over
$2,000 worth of leather upholstery. I told the kids she ran away. The car
now smells like Kibbles and sh** No more pets in this heat!
July 25th
Dry #@*&$!% heat, my a**. Hot is hot!! The home air conditioner is
on the fritz and AC repairman charged $200 just to drive by and tell me
he needed to order parts.
July 30th
Been sleeping outside by the pool for three nights now. $1,500 in
damn house payments and we can't even go inside. Why did I ever come here?
Aug 4th
115 degrees. Finally got the air conditioner fixed today. It cost
$1,200 and gets the temperature down to about 90. Stupid repairman peed in
my pool. I hate this #@*&$!% state.
Aug 8th
If another wise a** cracks, "Hot enough for you today?", I'm going
to tear his #@*&$!% throat out. Damn heat. By the time I get to work
the radiator is boiling over, my clothes are soaking wet, and I smell
like Roasted Garfield!!
Aug 10th
The weather report might as well be a damn recording: Hot and sunny.
It's been too hot to #@*& for two damn months and the weatherman
says it might really warm up next week. Doesn't it ever rain in this barren
damn desert? Water rationing has been in effect all summer,so
$1,700 worth of cactus just dried up and blew into the #@*&$!% pool.
Even a cactus can't live in this heat.
Aug. 14th
Welcome to Hell!!! Temperature got to 123 today. Forgot to crack the
window and blew the #@*&$!% windshield out of the Lincoln. The
installer came to fix it and said, "Hot enough for you today?" My wife had
to spend the $1,500 house payment to bail me out of jail.
Aug. 30th
Worst day of the damn summer. I'm not leaving the house. The
#@*&$!% monsoon rains finally came and all they did is to make it muggier
than hell. The Lincoln is now floating somewhere in Mexico with its new
$500 windshield. Maybe it will wash out that dead cat smell.
That does it, we're moving to Michigan for some peace and quiet.

I hear you. Those are real issues. Didn't your friends check the place out first?? Belize is along the mosquito coast, after all. Lots of people get suckered in there because English is spoken. But it's really not that cheap there to live decent.
My place in the DR is boring if you don't know how to make your own fun. However, it seems there's always somebody who needs help with something, and the gringos organize their own amusements. Shopping is piss poor, but I don't like shopping. My needs are simple. Mosquitos aren't too bad. Theft is an issue for the careless - don't advertise your wealth, and lock up (and keep a dog). But on the other hand, violent crime is almost unheard of, except when somebody catches his wife with another man.
My main plan is just to winter down there and spend the nice months in Michigan. BUT - if things go to pot, I want a fall back plan. The DR is boring, but it's nice. The taxes are low to non-existent. Food is abundant, climate is not deadly. High quality medical care is available and WAY cheaper than here (much closer to being a free market). Labor is cheap - a middle class person like me can have a servant. And best of all - they have a shortage of damn do gooders!

Two very different congressmen--New York Democratic Rep. Charlie Rangel and Utah Republican Sen. Orrin Hatch--avoided the fate of other incumbents around the country and won re-election Tuesday night despite strong primary challenges in their respective states.
While Hatch had for some time appeared a shoo-in for re-election, Rangel's fate was far less certain. But Rangel emerged victorious from an arduous House primary, beating back a challenge from state Sen. Adriano Espaillat in the newly redistricted Hispanic-majority 13th District.
Rangel could be convicted of murder and they'd still vote for him. Hell after he dies they'll probably vote for his corpse.

The historic event came nine months after repeal of the 18-year-old “don’t ask don’t tell” policy that had prohibited gay troops from serving openly and forced more than 13,500 service members out of the armed forces. …

Chronologically following the bouncing ball, these federal abuses of powers by every federal executive bureau including the ATF/DHS instituted wholesale SWATting annihilating entire family units and a community, precedence before the current abuse by citizens against the record and against free speech from bloggers and citizens at home or work.

'Recently, I was honored to be selected as a judge at a chili cook-off. The original person called in sick at the last moment and I happened to be standing there at the judge's table asking directions to the beer wagon, when the call came. The other two judges (Native Mexicans) assured me that the chili wouldn't be all that spicy, and besides, they told me I could have free beer during the tasting. So I accepted.'
Here are the scorecards for the eight Chili's that were submitted for judging by Jose, Carlos, Fred, Bubba, Linda, Vera, Ana and Lester.
Chili # 1 Mike's Mild ChiliJUDGE ONE: A little too heavy on tomato. Amusing kick.
JUDGE TWO: Nice, smooth tomato flavour. Very mild.
DAN: Crikey, what the hell is this stuff? You could remove dried paint from your driveway. Took me two beers to put the flames out. I hope that's the worst one. These Mexicans are crazy. Chili taster story continues ...
Chili # 2 Carlos's Afterburner ChiliJUDGE ONE: Smokey, with a hint of pork. Slight Jalapeno tang.
JUDGE TWO: Exciting BBQ flavor, needs more peppers to be taken seriously.
DAN: Keep this out of the reach of children I'm not sure what I am supposed to taste besides pain. I had to wave off two people who wanted to give me the Heimlich manoeuvre. They had to rush in more beer when they saw the look on my face. Chili taster story continues ...
Chili # 3 Fred's Famous Burn Down The Barn ChiliJUDGE ONE: Excellent firehouse chili! Great kick. Needs more beans.
JUDGE TWO: A beanless chili, a bit salty, good use of peppers.
DAN: Call the EPA, I've located a uranium spill. My nose feels like I have been snorting Drano. Everyone knows the routine by now get me more beer before I ignite. Barmaid pounded me on the back; now my backbone is in the front part of my chest. Wey the beer is good stuff. Chili taster story continues...
ÂôChili # 4 Bubba's Black MagicJUDGE ONE: Black bean chili with almost no spice. Disappointing.
JUDGE TWO: Hint of lime in the black beans. Good side dish for fish or other mild foods, not much of a chili.
DAN: I felt something scraping across my tongue, but was unable to taste it, is it possible to burnout taste buds? Sally, the barmaid, was standing behind me with fresh refills; that 300 lb. lady is starting to look HOT, just like this nuclear waste I'm eating. Is chili an aphrodisiac? Chili taster story continues ...
Chili # 5 Linda's Legal Lip RemoverJUDGE ONE: Meaty, strong chili. Cayenne peppers freshly ground, adding considerable kick. Very Impressive.
JUDGE TWO: Chili using shredded beef, could use more tomato. Must admit the cayenne peppers make a strong statement.
DAN: My ears are ringing, sweat is pouring off my forehead and I can no longer focus my eyes. The contestant seemed offended when I told her that her chili had given me brain damage, Sally saved my tongue from bleeding by pouring beer directly on it from a pitcher. I wonder if I'm burning my lips off? It really cheeses me off that the other judges asked me to stop screaming. Crazy rednecks!
Chili # 6 Vera's Very Vegetarian VarietyJUDGE ONE: Thin yet bold vegetarian variety chili. Good balance of spice and peppers.
JUDGE TWO: The best yet. Aggressive use of peppers, onions, and garlic. Superb.
DAN: My intestines are now a straight pipe filled with gaseous, sulphuric flames. No one seems inclined to stand behind me except that slut Sally. She must be kinkier than I thought. Can't feel my lips anymore. I need to wipe my mouth with a snow cone! Chili taster story continues ...
„†Chili # 7 Ana's Screaming Sensation ChiliJUDGE ONE: A mediocre chili with too much reliance on canned peppers.
JUDGE TWO: Ho Hum, tastes as if the chef literally threw in a can of chili peppers at the last moment. I should take note that I am worried about Judge Number 3, He appears to be in a bit of distress as he is cursing uncontrollably.
DAN: You could put a grenade in my mouth, pull the pin, and I wouldn't feel a damn thing. I've lost sight in one eye, and the world sounds like it is made of rushing water. My shirt is covered with chili, which slid unnoticed out of my mouth. At least during the autopsy they'll know what killed me. I've decided to stop breathing; it's too painful. Stuff it. I'm not getting any oxygen anyway. If I need air, I'll just suck it in through the 4-inch hole in my stomach. Story continues, but without the chili taster.
Chili # 8 Lester's Last Of The Red-Hot Lover's ChiliJUDGE ONE: A perfect ending, this is a nice blend chili, safe for all, not too bold but spicy enough to declare it's existence.
JUDGE TWO: This final entry is a good, balanced chili. Neither mild nor hot. Sorry to see that most of it was lost when Judge Number 3 passed out, fell over and pulled the chili pot down on top of himself. Not sure if he's going to make it. Poor Yank, wonder how he'd have reacted to a really hot chili?
Comment:
In Southwest Texas we have two chili cook-offs a year and raise money for schools, fire department, and others. Dan's chili sounds about right. But not to worry; your taste buds grow back in about 3 months! [Leigh Eaton]

Wiki doesn't have a very useful why-not.
Due to concerns over either the safety of noodlers or sustainability of fish populations, or both, the technique is illegal in some states where it was once traditionally practiced. As of 2002, it was legal in some form in eleven states,
it does have this re. trout tickling
The technique was a common practice used by boys, poachersand working men in times of economic stress, particularly during the 1930s depression Poachers using the method required no nets, rods or lines or any other incriminating equipment if apprehended by the warden
No equipment, no evidence, no license, no season, one splash and no proof.
Either that or White anti-crackerism.

Sadly, I've come to feel the same way about some of our "conservative" online babblers. When they bother to have actual opinions -- and aren't pulling it out of their asses and/or linking to what some other blogger I've never heard of "think" -- they tend to sound more self-important than informed.
Like our Repub "leaders" in Congress, they let their attention be drawn away from the essentials and play more to "optics," reaching-across-the-aisle and political correctness. Hence, Bark Obama's regime gets enough of a free pass to help assure the Traitor-in-Chief's re-election.
I'm tempted to write in Whitey Bulger in November. He is, after all, only being accused of participating in 19 murders. President Historic First© is way ahead of him in body count....

This so called demographic that the parties (particularly Republican) pursue whilst ignoring the concerns of their base is a chimera.
These folks have an opinion they just don't want to share it with some pollster not because they're pondering the issues or because they're uninformed, it's because they're afraid/reluctant/can't be bothered to state who they'll vote for months from now.
They don't have an opinion because they don't need to make one. Those of us who are zealots have formed ours ages ago. These folks won't know probably until they walk into the booth.
That doesn't mean they can be persuaded though by rhetoric or promises of pretty ponies (or whatever some analyst thinks they want) in the sky programs. They will make their decision at the time with what they feel or think or what has been said or done OVERALL.
Many of these so called moderates know how they'll vote but like to think of themselves as Independent free thinkers: Barbara Streisand.
It's time for once for the parties (Republican in particular) to pander to their BASE. Especially Romney.
We need to hear some rah, rah and some zis boom bah American idealism and how he's going to spend 6 months canceling the majority of Obama's Executive orders and work with the House to chop out the pernicious laws that have been passed and gouge out the law breaking rules promulgated by unelected officials in the departments.
Anything else is a waste of time and MAY cause some to decide NOT to vote for him.
If he can't bring himself to do so, then maybe we need to rethink whether he's really the man for the job.
Campaign for the base MITT!
(not that he hasn't had moments that have cheered me but he needs to do more and worry less about the "victims" out there and help the real victims; those who've been paying for all this crap and are now out of jobs.)

Also - in the DR there's virtually no welfare. Hatians that infiltrate the DR are looking to work, not suck the teet.

The violence permeating America today and the world at large is promoted by government. At home, it isn't simply the Democrats abusing federal authoritarianism through the destabilizing Patriot Act DHS. Republicans want to expand the destabilization of our Constitutional Governance, no longer even feigning balanced branches or limited power of authority given the Republican Leadership neoconservative record and agenda.
In effect during debate, Romney reneged allegiance to the Constitution, deferring any opinion to his unnamed Ivy League global corporatist lawyers, and refusing to say what he thinks, let alone make a promise of governing without abusing the Constitution. Malleable Romney qualifies for Rev. 3:16.
Romney has extended family (dual citizens) directly in the line of Cartel fire in the Mormon Mexican Colonies; but he won't touch the Fast and Furious can of worms. It's not racism specifically, but the generic elitist superiority complex. Remember the antipathy from Bush calling Americans wanting border security "vigilantes" for volunteering real time eyes in communication directly to Border Patrol for follow up as illegal entries transpired. PC NAFTA Romney would prosecute US citizens logically exercising constitutional activism. And the bandwagon would cheer him on while irrationally complaining about the consequences of CHOICE.
Whoever says the "smart" thing to do is STFU can take their own advice. As if Romney's campaign without a constitutional platform plank is outsmarting his critics by refusing to answer questions. Imagine our Constitution as the Romney agenda banner--tinfoil campaign hats. That flies as far as Obama's "innocence" outsmarting Congress after already spilling his beans to presume his rightful claim to Dictatorship as his executive privilege.
"Repo Men" -- Six of one; half dozen of the other. But we'll get a kinder, gentler authoritarian with Mitt.

Without being all "internet tough guy" about the issue, when did it become normal for American men to allow people to shove and throw shit at them with impunity? Saw the same thing in Wisconsin. I know the cops are there and you put yourself at risk of arrest, but paying a fine and losing a few hours of my time aren't disincentive enough to stop me from whaling on any adult (and some of those "kids" definitely qualify) that takes a shot at me with a milk crate.

I can't claim to know why, but I will say that in that specific context - where they were being attacked for being Christians - turning the other cheek was not inappropriate.
That said, I think it would be more than appropriate for a group of concerned citizens to assist law enforcement with a job that they obviously can't or won't handle. Such a group might best be called a vigilance committee. Since the legal system is now turned against the law abiding and used to aid the cause of criminal scum, I think it's safe to say the system has failed and is no longer legitimate. Morally, the people have an obligation to take matters in hand.

This marks Obama's second run as Grand Marshal of the long running South Side parade. In 2007, Senator Barack Obama led marshaled the parade. Obama's presence at the August 11 parade comes roughly three months before voters head to the polls to decide between him and presidential challenger Mitt Romney (R-Mass).
I'm surprised that Barry has time in his busy schedule of golfing, fund raising and ignoring the law to attend a parade. And who in the fark says "running the free world" beside the hacks at the NBC Chicago?
