Top Headline Comments 6-6-12
— Gabriel Malor

Happy Wednesday, oh happy, happy Wednesday.

We've got Wisconsin posts queued up, so I'll avoid that here. In other news . . .

Barbara Walters regrets Assad regime connection, apologizes for conflict of interest.

President Clinton whupped President Obama in a proxy war in the New Jersey Democratic primary. Rep. Bill Pascrell, a 16-year incumbent and one of Hillary Clinton's major supporters for her New York senate race, was backed by Clinton. Obama backed another 16-year incumbent, Rep. Steve Rothman. Outcome? Clinton's guy beat Obama's guy 2 to 1. (Ignore the headline that says this race was "tight.")

Nine people have been empaneled on the Sandusky jury so far. Four of them have direct connections to Penn State.

The outcome of California's Prop 29, an additional $1 per pack tax on cigarettes, is still unclear. It's close.

Cheryl Crow has a brain tumor. Apparently it will not require surgery.

New Q poll shows a statistical tie in the Virginia senate race between former Democratic Gov. Tim Kaine and former Republican Sen. George Allen.

9 The real story from yesterday's recall election in WI was the resounding repudiation WI voters gave republicans, as the DEMOCRATS gained control of the state senate by winning senate seat 21!!!1111!!!!!11111.  In a race that will carry wide and deep and long-lastng implications, WI voters sent an unmistakable message that they have the fevah and the only rememdy is more democratic statist policies and union favoring governing, when they turned out in huge numbers to flip this crucial state senate seat!!!111!1!1!!eleventy!

In other, less important, news barely worth mentioning, Scott Walker won a tightly contested recall vote and republicans won 4 other state senate seats on the ballot.

So, let's really focus in on this all important, WI state senate seat 21 and discuss the many ways this result is the bellwether for November and every national election for the next 80 years!!!11!!!!!111111

11 Everyone stop saying "Walker survived" or the "Lt. Governor survived". Say they slammed, trounced, beat, stomped....whatever. We have to stop using victim language.

Speaking of victims, I turn on the TV this morning, which I never do and there is an ad from "Wrongforwomen" dot com. which, BTW is Planned Parenthood (thank you for funding federal govt). The ad shows Romney and in big letters that I guess they assume their clients can follow along as they read them, "He will keep women from making their own healthcare decisions." Now, really, who could believe that? Just women? Really? and how is the president going to keep Peggy Joseph from getting her abortion? That's the point right?

Nasty evil liars.

12 At the airport & they have CNN on in the lounge. Talking head just referred to Barrett as the "runner up" in the WI recall election. What is it you call the "runner up" in a two person race again? Oh yeah, the LOSER! Somehow I doubt that, if the results were different, they would be calling Walker the "runner up". I hate these stinking propagandists.

15 As someone pointed out yesterday, the legislative session in Wisconsin doesn't start until after the Nov elections where they are likely to regain their majority. So this one over flip for their legislature doesn't really matter. I guess they don't come to work till after the cheese comes in? IDK but apparently that little legislative turnover has no meaning? Relying only on the meme Clinton's choice v Obama's choice may be viewed with limited joy for Obama's defeat.

However, that 'redistricting' actually reflects the alarming political/demographic Muslim influence routing a pro-Israel Jewish candidate.

Antisemitism was the foundation for the characterization of that particular campaign being so 'heated' and 'nasty'.

I'm not a fan of Ms. Crow, but I wonder if she's being given accurate information, or if this is just typical spin from publicists. "Does not require surgery" is NOT the same thing as "can't do surgery" because it's effecting the meninges. You can't just take out the tumor. And the tumor itself will be graded on a scale. It's not benign or malignant, the question is how aggressive its growth is, and how long it takes, but chances are this WILL be her cause of death. Even if that's 20 or 30 years from now.

Barrett didn't concede for more than two hours after the race was called by the media.  The Democratic crowd were chanting "Count the votes, Count the votes" ad nauseam.  When Barrett finally did concede and was leaving the stage that's when the women slapped his face.  See, this is the kind of people we are dealing with.  The woman, in her rage, was thinking like an eight-year- old child bully because she was not getting her way.  These people have some kind of mental illness.  To her what she did was ok because she does not think with her brain, she thinks with her emotion.  She is a Democrat.

91 For some reason I just don't buy the meningioma story. Mets to the brain are quite common with breast cancer. While I don't wish her ill, someone who is still negotiating gigs on a World Tour isn't likely to admit she might cancel everything. She's also known to be a liar when it suits her. Time will tell.

92 Let the spinning start. The MFM is all on about how Walker had so much more money than Barrett and it was all from "outside of the state". Here comes the Koch Brothers and big corporations bought the election BS

@96

Don't know why the Donks are bitching about who had more money.  They started this re-call election didn't they?  They should have thought about the cost then.  Oh, thats right, they are Donks.

At the airport & they have CNN on in the lounge. Talking head just referred to Barrett as the "runner up" in the WI recall election.

What is it you call the "runner up" in a two person race again? Oh yeah, the LOSER!

One thing I have learned from watching Toddlers & Tiaras is that "runner up" stands for LOSER!

From the Baba Wawa article:

"When he agreed to the interview with Walters in December, Miss Jaafari wrote a list of talking points advising that the "American psyche can be easily manipulated" if he were to make a limited expression of regret."

No sweetie, the American Liberal psyche can be easily manipulated.

101 And that picture of Sheryl Crow looks like she has a nice, deep tan.  Hypocrisy from tanning in the evil, conservative sun or from soaking in capitalist chemicals to create a fake spray tan?  You decide.

What happened to Van Wangaard????/ Oh no.  Looks like maybe a recount, eh?

108 On the Clinton vs Obama thing, Steve Rothman was the good guy. Pascrell is beholden to Islamists. Not exactly the type we want in government, near levers of power ... You can spin it as Clinton vs Obama as you have. It really was good versus evil, and good did not win. Evil in this case had to do with a prominent Pascrell supporter, a known terrorism apologist, openly deriding the religion of Rothman, and calling on his supporters to "vote the jew out". Yeah. Nice that Obama was kicked in the nads. But WI should have been enough for this. Doing this in NJ now means that this district may have a beholden-to-islamist congressman coming soon. Such an improvement. Not. That said, it does appear Bill is serving up retribution. And apart from this contest, I am liking that. Bill was the smartest guy in the room, even if he couldn't keep it in his pants. He blows Obummer out of the water with brains. There is simply no comparison.

more than just beholden

" On the eve of an election that will decide his political future, Rep. Bill Pascrell, D-N.J.,remains under fire for refusing to condemn anti-Semitic comments from his supporters."

111 #79 n9Aoz  . . .Rabbi Boteach is pro 'Arab Spring' and a proud 'cross over' candidate -see TheBlaze article posted today.   Boteach is about as conservative as Grover Norquist or any Rove approved RINO.  Ugh.  The Rabbi's uh, 'counseling' skills were on display in the February SunTV interview with Michael Coren.  Look it up.

Posted by: wtd at June 06, 2012 06:40 AM (n9Aoz)

112 @115 Yeah, its a tainted and not so good Rabbi versus an Islamist loving twit. Not a choice between good and bad, but a choice between evils. Boteach is a publicity whore, there is no doubt of that. But he'd still be far superior to an Islamist shill.
