— Gabriel Malor Happy Tuesday.
The President is now taking fire from both the Left and the Right for his often-debunked claims about outsourcing.
Folks on the Left are mad that Obama failed to live up to his protectionist promises in 2008 to curb outsourcing via the tax code and immigration policy. Obama's tight relationship with GE, which was a pioneer in outsourcing, is cited as part of their problem.
On the Right, RNC Chairman Reince Priebus is making a surprise trip to Cedar Rapids, IA today, where Obama has two campaign events. Priebus will announce a new campaign tool, ObamanomicsOutsourced.com, hitting Obama for billions of wasted taxpayer dollars that went to foreign-owned companies or to create jobs overseas, mostly in the stimulus. Like, for example, in Mexico:

Click over and tool around the website.
Also in the news, a new ABC/Washington Post poll finds that Obama is losing swing-voting independents by a record 14 percentage points. There's some other mixed results in the poll, particularly on voter enthusiasm, but that count of independents explains why Obama is struggling so much.
Obama's tax hike proposal is dead on arrival in the House and the Senate, where even the Democrats realize that raising taxes is bad for the economy (and bad for their reelection hopes). Also noted in the piece: several Dems plan to vote this week to repeal Obamacare.

Gabe, I am glad you linked that RNC site showing all of the outsourcing of stimulus money. It's worse than I thought, and should provide ammunition to those who want to complain about Bain. I hope the RNC has some ads ready interviewing people who thought they were going to get jobs and then discovered that Chinese workers were receiving the money.

I believe Obama is having many major donors withhold money until the RNC convention, at which point they will dump in a bunch of money and manufacture a "surge" of support because "now that Americans see what Romney is like" they are "scared."
I think the Romney campaign needs to be prepared for this, and mentally, we all should as well.
Another source of this influx of money could be the fake small donations that really come from overseas (snince apparently he still isn't verifying credit cards).
At any rate, this is what I think Axelrod has planned, so all of this talk about how poor they are and how Romney is beating them in donations is just more lying.

Smell the fear:
Feds name 4 suspects linked to Fast and Furious
Authorities made a rare disclosure Monday linked to the botched gun-smuggling investigation known as Operation Fast and Furious, revealing identities and requesting the public's help in capturing four fugitives accused in the shooting death of a U.S. Border Patrol agent 18 months ago.
The announcement comes in the wake of pressure from U.S. House Republicans who led a vote to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt of Congress, criticizing the nation's top prosecutor for withholding information related to the probe.
"We believe it's in the best interest of this ongoing investigation to unseal the case at this point in time and to enlist the assistance of the general publics in both Mexico and the United States," said federal prosecutor Laura Duffy. She said the decision to release the information came independently and would not discuss the recent congressional action against Holder.

Regarding compassionate conservative deceit, the corporatist's dream act of NAFTA was meant to squash small business and impoverish the American middle class of highly skilled workers, with or without union membership (that a mute point). Obama's recent amnesty order for illegal aliens in the USA also destabilizes our effort to economically recover. Compound all by our mutual governments' refusal to coordinate dual citizenship for US Citizens immigrating/relocating to enjoy in Mexico the rights of Mexican Citizens to own private property. (Fear of another secession either way.) Unless at the top of the food chain already a member of the autocracy, there is no way for Americans to privately invest in Mexico small business as relocated entrepreneurs, or to relocate for work to take part in any of these US tax subsidized global corporate employment opportunities.

Miss Marple could be very right.
So Obama projects the "I'm poor, too" message as if "I feel your pain" but without any conviction in his SCOAMFT performance.
As things stand with the Obama campaign facade, they are playing the impoverished card simply to stage a stark contrast between the image of the poor boy Obama v. the rich kid Romney, to stir the class warfare required for opportunism which cuts both ways via both parties, btw. It takes two to tango.

Calling Mr. Obvious:
ACA trickle-down effect could hamper economic growth
Dennis Costello runs the Hotel Bethlehem in PennsylvaniaÂ’s Lehigh Valley, employing 180 workers in the cityÂ’s only full-service hotel with restaurants and banquet space.
About half his staff takes advantage of employer-provided insurance.
But because of the federal Affordable Care Act, he says, the hotel will have to determine how to offer the same guest services while facing twice the expense.
“It will certainly require us to take a look at basically everything,” Costello said. “What we charge people, our room rates, the number of associates. We certainly would be very, very careful about filling any vacancies and really running a leaner operation.”
Local competition includes franchise hotels, with smaller staffs, that wonÂ’t be subject to provisions of the health-care act.
...
President of the Pennsylvania Chamber of Commerce Gene Barr said the penalties are a disincentive to hiring.
It comes down to a numbers game, about whether penalties are cheaper than hiring new employees and offering insurance, he said.
“With the provision of the law affecting employers of 50 and above, if you’ve got 45,46,47 employees, you really have to think twice about whether you want to bring on those extra employees that bring you above the threshold,” he said. “That’s the exact wrong way to go.”

The Mexico off-shoring issue is a good one to have in our pocket. It will distract from our own side's complicity in the horrific trade policy we have (and which Obie is continuing to make worse with the recent deal with South Korea).
Free trade among equals with similar policies is great. But the farce we have now provides nothing but destabilization (in exchange for some really great deals on T-shirts and plastic kitchen ware).

Let's just stick with Occam's Razor - the obvious solution is best. If they lie, pound the shit out of them about it immediately. Use their lies against them.
There are many things I disliked about Bush but chief among them was the way he just sat there and let the Left kick him in the balls over and over and over again and said NOTHING. Fight the fuck back dammit!

Right, because Romney's private prep school (Cranbrook in MI) was a little nicer than O'downgrade's (Punahou in HI).
Barky went to two Ivies and a private college, Romney went to Stanford/BYU and got a master's at Harvard- y'aow, where the mincer purportedly got a degree in law.
Growing up, Mitt had the better time of it. As adults, Romney has worked a lot where the ambulatory gaping anus hasn't worked a day in his worthless stank breathed life.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Scorching temperatures in June's second half helped the continental United States break its record for the hottest first six months in a calendar year, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration said on Monday.
The last 12 months also have been the warmest since modern record-keeping began in 1895, narrowly beating the previous 12-month period that ended in May 2012.
Every state except Washington in the contiguous United

Democrats Try New Campaign Tactic--STALKING
How DARE they run against Democrats! Across the country Democrats are stalking Republican candidates and posting the raw footage on line. We are not talking about showing up and video taping town halls, no these operatives are taking pictures of candidate's homes and following them as they do normal household activities.
That ratcheting up of the video surveillance game is unnerving Republicans who insist that even by political standards, itÂ’s a gross invasion of privacy. Worse, they say, it creates a safety risk for members of Congress and their families at a time when they are already on edge after a deranged gunman shot former Arizona Democratic Rep. Gabrielle Giffords 18 months ago.
Wisconsin GOP Rep. Reid Ribble, who said heÂ’s also been followed by a cameraman when shopping for groceries, said the home videos cross a line.
“I feel it’s totally inappropriate,” said Ribble, a freshman facing a competitive race for reelection. “It was disturbing to me that they would put that online. I don’t understand any political benefit that can be achieved with that.”

Propaganda. People see what they WANT. Most can't see past their own nose.
You assume that logic sways the current matter of public opinion. Only when there is the determination on the part of an individual or the public at large to practice logic does such influence opinion.
The Tea Party movement still expresses an outrage against the illogical. But aside from begrudged and belated lip service, the Republican Leadership still determine what happens on Capitol Hill, and what stays under wraps. Jeb Bush spilled right off the bat the design of Leadership to usurp the Tea Party without fulfilling that movement's demands. And the tease goes on, politicians promising smaller governance and lower taxes while the Party parties on year after year, ingratiating themselves. We'll yet see what comes of the current storm v. Obama.
Obama needs to coalesce his domestic supporters who consist of the ignorant from all echelons led by the deceitful wolves devouring the foolish flocks. So he'll play whatever role that promises his corrupt opportunism.
We'll see how Mitt's propaganda machine combats the Obama MSM 2012.
So much for the long memory associated with the GOP elephant mascot.
The Republican Party has had DECADES to refine a most logical and economical platform. Rather than championing the US Constitution, the Leadership cling bitterly to revisionism as so much more convenient and "comfortable" for themselves. Regarding the medical insurance induced massive inflation of medical costs, Republicans played into the "affordable health care" campaign debates 2008 with poor organization and poorer yet presentation. It wasn't just McCain; he was the front, but by no means the brain of the Leadership. Even the C-SPAN night broadcasts from the House Floor by the Congressional Caucus of Physicians were never backed by the Republican Leadership which has YET to coordinate the amalgam of a single Republican bill rather than the motley clog of separate bills by Republicans eager to each "reinvent" the wheel.
Ex: Michele come lately has tossed her Bachmann health care bone into the ruckus rather than playing the Tea Party House Caucus leadership role of coordinating the House Republican efforts into one single health care bill. (Not to mention Bachmann's "expertise" failure to lead the LOWER income tax battle v. the ever augmenting mutant tax code with authoritarian militant IRS to show for all the "kinder, gentler" Bush facade to present the IRS new leaf as if compassionately understanding.) I only mention Bachmann since she interviewed recently on the Laura Ingraham show, and when pressed for what she's doing to overturn ObamaCare offered her bill as if to win the war v. Marx.

Where are y'all reading that the NOAA says this June was the hottest ever? The only NOAA report I've seen has said it was the 14th hottest.
"The average temperature for the contiguous U.S. during June was 71.2°F, 2.0°F above the 20th century average, ranking 14th warmest June on record. Scorching temperatures during the second half of the month broke or tied over 170 all-time high temperature records in cities across America. June temperatures also contributed to a record-warm first half of the year and the warmest 12-month period the nation has experienced since recordkeeping began in 1895."
link: http://www.noaa.gov/
I'm guessing those temps would be skewed by the crazy heat the central portions of the country have been getting the last few weeks. Temp records have been dropping left right and center. Other areas of the country, particularly the Pacific Northwest and the Southeast, had cooler temperatures than average.
More details: http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/sotc/national/2012/6
I agree that the NOAA has an agenda just like every other federal agency, but I think it would be rather difficult to out and out LIE as has been suggested; not when there's so much independent weather data available, and plenty of backyard meteorologists.

Read the whole scary thing:
New Ex Order Grabs Wired Unwired Communications: Remember the Stafford Act?
A new Executive Order was released on Friday, July 6th, 2012. No need to discuss this President’s madness for grabbing power through EO’s. By moving the control of all methods of communications (supposedly needed for “emergency” communications) through the Executive Branch, Homeland Security runs the show, and Homeland Security no longer considers a threat to human life necessary to constitute terrorism. Combine this with Obama’s March 2012 EO allowing the implementation of the Stafford Act, which affects civilians, giving close to unlimited power to the Executive Branch to control us and everything we own. The full text of the communications EO is below, along with definitions US definitions of “National Emergency” and “Terrorism.”
...
Bottom line of the new EO, according to Canada Free Press:
Based on our analysis of this order, it would appear that the implementation of emergency communications by Obama, using all forms of wired and wireless communication systems, is redirected through the Executive branch and could expand such takeover abilities beyond the limits of an actual act of war, national emergency, or other event impacting the national security of the U.S. The order also mandates that the Department of Homeland Security develops and submits such a plan to Obama within sixty-(60) days of this order (section 5.2(h)).
Details, according to Canada Free Press:
The text of the order itself consists of 2,205 words and seven-(7) sections and multiple subsections. The policy statement (section one) seems innocuous and actually beneficial to the continuity of communications within the U.S., until one begins to dissect the order and consider it in context with other Obama issued directives. Extensive analysis of this order, in tandem with other recent Obama orders and signed legislation, suggests a disconcerting pattern of potential overreach by Obama into the area of normal and customary commercial communication systems.
This Executive Order revokes the National Communication System, designed to “assist” the President in times of emergency. Everything will now be handled “in-house,” so to speak. No outsiders needed. A big question: among the many Executive Orders Obama has signed, have “emergency” and “crisis” been redefined?
In ObamaÂ’s March 2012 National Defense Preparedness Act, Jay Sekulow (American Center for Law and Justice) stated that the definition of National Defense has been changed to now allow FEMA to enact the Stafford Act:

Probably true. But don't forget - every mass murder/genocide in the last 100 years has been committed by Leftist authoritarians. Every day the US government becomes more authoritarian, simply by ignoring the laws that limit it. Constitutional crises are now so numerous that we are essentially having to ignore them. The current administration is a lawless band of criminals, and as Leftists they are intrinsically prone to murder.
If these law-breaking trash decide they can't get their way through elections, it's hard to feel certain what they'll do. I doubt that going-away-quietly is on the top of their agenda.

"he who controls the language controls the message."
Or, as my college Communication professors always said, "He who writes the definitions controls the language." That's why deconstructionists are such bastards. A thing cannot be something it isn't, but deconstructionists will try to tell you that black is only black because we have defined it that way. Why can't we define it as white?
Because fuck off, losers, that's why. Words have meaning.
I remember one of my more leftist professors who loved postmodern deconstructionist crap like that. "Look at this wall," he said one day in class, touching the classroom wall. "We call it a wall. It stands up, it encloses the room, it separates us from the rest of the building and the outside world. But what happens if we knock the wall down? Is it still a wall? It's not fulfilling the principle functions we associate with a wall, so how can it still be a wall? I could sit on the broken cinderblocks. So why can't we call the fallen wall a chair?"
My response -- unvoiced, but pretty clear by my expression -- was, "Because it's a fucking wall. Just because it's fallen down doesn't mean it's not a wall. It's a fallen down, broken wall, but its still a wall. That's why we have these things called adjectives, to describe the state of things. And if you were to sit on a cinder block, you wouldn't be sitting on a chair. You'd be sitting on a cinder block. You said it yourself. Please shut up and teach something useful."

Should the US so foolishly persist in handing Syria to the Saudi Wahhabi Muslim Brotherhood towards the House of Saud quest to achieve Global Caliphate, and insanely participate in a military attack of Iran, Americans are refusing to acknowledge the very real threat posed against our own stability by Russia and China who have in recent decades assumed the Teddy Roosevelt posture, "speak softly and carry a big stick."

Americans have become as addicts who "deserve" their fix, each demanding according to their own fixation. We must have blah, blah, blah X, Y, Z. We are "entitled" by "virtue" of what we've revised/corrupted American Exceptionalism to be (certainly no longer Liberty, Natural Rights and the balance of powers through logical separation of means). Our USA has become the conglomerate glut of all gluts, usurping patriotism converted to dhimmitude. Our Federal Government no longer recognizes our own sovereign status, not as a nation, not as Sovereign States within the Union, and certainly not as sovereign Individual beings, just as having determined that other countries have no sovereignty. Top that off with Obama's latest executive order decree of US citizenship regardless of illegality.
Webster Tarpley, historian and international commentator, certainly nailed Obama's ass to Marx's "foist!"

Press TV: Looking at the rights record of the participants of the meeting in Geneva, particularly that of the United States, itÂ’s somehow hard to believe that their only concern is of human rights. Can you tell us how a regime change in Syria may benefit every participant in that conference?
Tarpley: The current US policy under the Obama administration with Hillary Clinton in the State Department aims at the destruction of all sovereign states on this planet. ItÂ’s really rolling the world situation back to the time before the Treaty of Westphalia in 1648 which established the regime of modern independent sovereign states.

Against "First Principles" the "Fire in the Belly" went stale to Milk Toast. Most of America does not know who Mitt is. The plan? His true believers expect to take the world by storm like the second coming of Christ. Expecting to take America by storm at the last minute, just like Obama '08? That was then; this is now.
Of those who know Mitt best, Americans advancing Constitutional Governance are not invited on his Keynesian Rockefeller team advancing neoconservatism. Many voters who paid attention to Romney's 2008 campaign remember his famous last words, "Promise them anything; just get their votes!"
IF Mitt were the mythical miracle worker as he'd have you believe, the proof would be his coalition and agenda ALREADY organized in time to maximize on July Congressional success.
Consider, for instance, how hollow is his promise: "I won't write Europe any checks" when its the Federal Reserve that he will further enable economic and political global corruption.
IF Romney and the Republican Leadership mean to halt bail-outs, they will amass the votes this month to pass the HR 459 bill authorizing Congress to thoroughly audit the Federal Reserve.
Romney's welcome to prove his merit.
