— Gabriel Malor Happy Tuesday.
I have an op-ed in the NY Post this morning on the media's propensity to blame the Right for violence.
Mayor Bloomberg suggests that police officers go on strike and refuse to protect the public unless legislatures "do whatÂ’s required to keep us safe," by which he means that they should ban guns.
Long-time friend of the HQ Karol celebrates her "34 glorious, American years" in a must-read post.

LOL, I donÂ’t know what the laws in MA are for incorporation vs disincorporation but it appears that some people in MA are fed up with their town.
Some Humarock Residents Discuss Seceding From Scituate In Bonfire Dispute
Its not “seceding” idiot. Its “disincorporation and actually it is fairly easy to do, or at least it is in SC. In SC for a city to “incorporate” a new area it has to meet a few requirements. First, it must be contiguous to the existing city boundary. The it must have the approval of > 50% of the citizens, or > 50% of the property owners. Disincorportation follows the same rule, but is rarely used because people do not know they have an option. I suspect MA law is pretty much the same.

They had left a place where that opportunity simply didn’t exist. You were born poor and you would die poor–everyone would.
Few Americans really understand this fact. One must read a lot of European authors, or live there, to understand how stratified and class conscious Europeans are.

Good morning, Morons. Thanks for the news, Gabe and Vic.
Gabe, perhaps someone should take a 2x4 to Bloomberg's head; one suitably engraved with the immortal words of Calvin Coolidge: "There is no right to strike against the public safety by anyone, anytime, anywhere."
In local news, the barely sentient Tom "Mumbles" Menino, mayor of Boston, has refused to allow Chik-Fil-A to open a franchise in Boston because they don't support gay marriage. I'd love to see a few Republican mayors in Massachusetts grab their left nuts and start banning leftist businesses from their towns, but the only thing limper than a Perez Hilton handshake is a Massachusetts Republican.
And now a couple of Hollywood stories:
The first concerns the producer Jesse Lasky, who was the founder of the Jesse L. Lasky Feature Plays Company (an ancestor of Paramount). He was an enthusiastic golfer, his zest for the game far outstripping his talent. One afternoon he was playing at the famous Hillcrest Country Club. On the tenth hole, Lasky teed off, his slice ensuring that the ball arced high and long over a nearby fence to land on the grounds of the adjoining Rancho Country Club (the scene of the Three Stooges short Three Little Beers). Lasky shrugged, and with his caddy trotted over to the Rancho fairway. He looked at the ball for a moment. "What club should I use here?" he asked. "Mr. Lasky," the caddy answered, "tell me which course you're playing, and I'll tell you what club to use."
The second story is about a senior editor for Time Magazine. Years ago (when both Time and movies were good), he was headed out to Hollywood for a vacation. He called the Hollywood bureau chief for Time and said he wanted to meet a starlet at his bungalow at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Since all studios were known to keep a stable of girls around for the entertainment of various guests, the chief flipped through his contact book and got in touch with Harry Brand, the head of publicity at Fox. Brand agreed to find the editor a $100-a-night girl, with the studio picking up the tab. Three days passed, and Brand noticed that he kept getting tabs for $100 each day. Confused, he called the bureau chief, who called the editor and asked what was going on. "It looks, the way things are going," the editor answered, a note of triumph in his voice, "I think in another day or two I'm gonna be able to fuck her!"
Hope you all have a wonderful day.

"Pickup truck carrying 23 people crashes in Texas; 14 are killed"
By Matt Pearce, LA TIMES, 23 July 12
http://tinyurl.com/clpgozd
"Fourteen people are dead and nine injured after a heavily overloaded pickup truck crashed into two trees in Texas on Sunday evening. Made evident by the massive damage caused to the vehicle, the 23 passengers, all of whom were injured or killed, were traveling at a fast speed when the white 2000 Ford F-250 Super Duty truck went off the right side of the road on northbound U.S. 59, a major artery between San Antonio and the Mexican border, 10 miles southwest of Goliad, Texas. Officials are currently investigating the cause of the crash, suspecting a possible tire blowout. Because the truck passengers did not have identification, they are suspected of being illegal aliens. US Immigration did not immediately return a message seeking information other than to verify that the victims were Mexican, Guatamalan, and Honduran."
Btw, as a citizen asked for comment, never oblige the press. If you do, they may trample your words under foot, and then turn and tear you to pieces.

Never mind that these "wealthiest few" are the ones that, oh, invest in companies that create jobs. And these "wealthiest few" already comprise a hugely disproportionate share of the tax base. And even confiscating 100% of the money from these "wealthiest few" wouldn't fill the gaping maw of the federal gov't for a month at current spending levels.
It's on the yahoo front page currently.

Fascism was made over by the "true socialist" Communists (USSR inference) as the right wing of socialism to demonize its members (anti-nationalist if not a Russian) when both camps were competing for the same audience of new membership conversions once upon a time back in the 1930s. Indigenous European peoples worked in factories of the Western nations that of course still had their own rising domestic manufacturing and employment base. No "need" yet for foreign imported (particularly undocumented illegal alien) workers to pick up the economy for the developed "old world" of European manufacturers in global economic crisis.
Funny thing, revisionists' abhorrence of the sticky word "fascist" after all these years of political incarnations. Guilty conscience.

After months of waiting the Libertarian Party finally put a post on my FB feed that I agreee with, normally the posts are slamming the military.
---
Hard Ball with Chris Mathews on MSNBC "Is it reasonable to assume that our founders Madison, Jefferson, Washington thought a semi-automatic rifle was acceptable when they drafted the second amendment? Of course they didn't"
B.S. They thought whatever type of rifle our government or police had in their arsenal, should be the same type of weapon the average citizenry should possess, that was the whole point.
That if the citizenry possessed weapons like the military and police, then the government would always fear the people, and they would always keep themselves in check.
We should not legislate in this country around knee jerk reactions or to what crazy people might do. We legislate as if we understood why this country was founded in the first place. Limited government.

Actually at the time of the founding civilians on the frontier had better weapons than the military. But should keep in mind that at the time of the founding, civilians were the military.
The founders did not believe in standing armies and the military was provided for by local militias.

95 That's good. Europeans don't relish independence so much as security. "Conservatism" there is the maintenance of the elitist social framework. People knowing their place, God forbid the elitists work as laborers in order to appreciate that reality.
Europeans seem to eschew the libertarian balance achieved in late 18th Century America, of the Classical symmetry that coordinates with Revolutionary ideals honoring the inner man as divine, respecting "natural rights". The serfs and peasants are yet on the dole; and the rise of the middle class bourgeoisie that took centuries to achieve has been demonized (by autocrats) as if self improvement threatens the peasantry. Idiots like monkeys want to imitate and replicate the aristocratic self indulgences as "deserving entitlements".
The European mindset purports revolutionary change periodically, by popular demand, only to produce another authoritarian regime. The American neoconservative Jean Kirkpatrick noted to Reagan's administration that to the degree and length of time that a people are subjugated by an authoritarian regime, expect at least that duration before hoping to witness any improvement in that society toward self rule. Sad to say, but European socialistic expectations for gubmint to take care of the big titty baby "populations" (no longer referenced as citizenry) are emblematic of the Black Liberation Theology of "Social Justice" that advances the "entitlement" of specifically African-American Supremacists to never outgrow slavery. The Democrat-Socialists of America no longer advance the right to work, but the entitlement to stay on the plantation though no work is produced by those "benefiting" as parasites bleeding the middle class dry. As if the middle class were the slave owners, anyway.
Socialism is Europe's baby. And competition is for all intents and purposes a dirty word. But America has chosen to adopt the bastard, and to breed socialism's offspring out of compassionate conservatism's thousand points of light which proved out global economic derivative fraud vs. voodoo economics. Neat trick.
It isn't as if labor needs socialism except that labor laws are not enforced any better than immigration laws are enforced. The governments do not "protect" the labor working conditions. No one halted Obama's destruction of contract law. Rather, organized efforts, whether governments or unions, specialize in defrauding the highly skilled artisans. Where there are monetary funds or "benefits" there is corruption and thievery. The more, the worse as absolute power corrupts absolutely.

incurable so long as enabled to fabricate lies and profit without hindrance.
...so long as the media refuses to recognize its own sin of bigotry, and sin of false reports that spawn violence, and the media refuse responsibility for its own sins and resulting violence. So long as an audience remains with the liar, the lie agenda thrives.
But there are the growing number of victims from the bigoted media sensationalists, like SWATters of the global airwaves as they play government against citizenry. And the witnesses against abuse are growing just as the dinosaur media audience adoring its own bigotry suffers a loss of confidence from the general population.
When Congress resorted to fabrications and outright malicious lies (spit) in order to demonize Tea Party pro-constitution activism in Washington DC, the general American populace had eyes to see. No one ever claimed Breitbart's offer. Of this moment, every tape brought to light proved that no Tea Party protester spit at any Member of Congress.
But there's no such thing as a conspiracy, let alone a conspiracy theory. Truth? What is truth? That rule of law no longer rules the day.

Congrats!
In addition to jumping at blaming conservatives for violence...the Left are conspicuously avoiding any mention of incidents where a shooter was stopped by an armed citizen.
One example, was the shooter Mathew Murray, who went into a church in Colorado Springs....armed much like the Aurora shooter...and started blasting at the church-goers.
But unlike Holmes....he was taken down by an armed citizen, after killing 2 and wounding 2.
