Well, if our side "loves its children" enough to let them be slaves, then so be it.  You may be quite right - already every baby born to the productive class is a slave to the bureaucracts and the welfare scum. 

However, in terms of fighting as insurgents, I don't see how that's a big liability.  Children as human shields are not really that effective.  If Russians and Greeks and various other eastern european types can manage effective rebellions, we can too.  We're better armed already than many insurgencies, many of us are highly skilled, the cadre would certainly include a large complement of war vets. Plus, we have the brains to know how to crash the system.  For example, you could HALT automotive production in the US for months in an operation that could be carried out in 1 day, with minimal resource investment.  We could, if we so chose, crash it all.

Plus, foreign enemies of the US would probably be willing to funnel in arms and supplies through Mexico.

Hope I'm not coming across as bitter, because I'm not in the least. Our son was VERY happy at Notre Dame (it was his first choice) and NEVER would have liked it at Harvard.  When he visited there, he said they looked like a bunch of boring eggheads who never played any sports or even watched football, which is very important to him. 

It's just one of a number of things that make you go hmmmm about Ear Leader. 

I think the current scuttlebutt about his college years hits close to the heart of how he got where he is today:  He lied. 

If his school records were that stellar, a narcissist like him would make sure they were splashed across every newspaper.  Which clues you in tht he has something very major to hide.

THEY DON'T INTEND TO REPLACE THEM WITH ANYTHING.  They want us to sit in the dark.   High gas prices and skyrocketing electric bills are a FEATURE, not a bug, of the new socialist paradigm.  Stanley Kurtz has a new book out about all of this, we we had all damn well better read it and find out what we are REALLY up against.

 

This is a virulent form of progressivism that wants to empty the suburbs, force consolidation of suburban tax bases and governance with the cities, in order to spread the wealth back into the corrupt and failed cities we all left starting in the 1950s.  They want to end Americans' love of the automobile, they want us all riding trains to our soul-sucking government jobs and living in tiny apartments in overcrowded cities.  They are artifically creating a gasoline crisis and an energy crisis to convince people that we have run out of energy and the only solution is to stop living in big suburban homes and commuting in cars. 

 

Wind and solar and geothermal and biomass energy are JOKES, and the progs know it.  They are the fig leaves they are using to cover their real agenda, which is the destruction of the suburban American way of life. 

 

Look at everything Obama has done and then look at what is going on in the big city nearest you.  You will start to conenct the dots and see what they are really trying to do.

One can theorize on possible actions based on known enemy capabilities.  And then plan accordingly.  To do otherwise is to be like Benson, create a fantasy based on fantasy.  For example the entire IJN plan for Midway, for it to work the Americans had to react exactly as predicted.  If not, as the IJN's own war games showed, the whole plan literally blows apart.  The IJN ignored the war game where Kaga got sunk by a surprise American carrier strike and instead lost the whole First Air Fleet in reality.
