— Gabriel Malor Happy Tuesday.
Mother Jones has released a second video from that Romney fundraiser, in which the candidates says that the Palestinians have "no interest whatsoever in establishing peace, and that the pathway to peace is almost unthinkable to accomplish." Again, it's a true statement that the media is going to pretend to be astounded by.
Finally, after a year of green-on-blue attacks, the U.S. is suspending combat patrols alongside Afghan forces.
Oh, I'll be in Chicago this afternoon through tomorrow. I know I always leave this stuff to the last second, but if local morons want to get a drink this evening, I'm staying down by Navy Pier. Email me (gabriel.malor at gmail), and if I'm convinced you're not an axe murderer, I'll email you back.

Think it'll work, especially since earflaps the impotent is helplessly watching the world burn.
Sooner or later, even the honey boo boo lovers are going to notice just how stunningly and abjectly awful the prancing turd infesting the white house is. If they don't well, I hear Costa Rica is nice.

Plenty of "Fuck how can The One be behind in Rasmussen! He should be 20 points in front! Shit, why are the polls tightening up again! Are we blowing the bounce? Why isn't Romney getting hammered in the polls over (random left-wing talking point)?"

After all that, because of horrendous media coverage, Romney is blamed more by the public than the actual guy who has control over U.S. foreign policy. The guy after learning of the attacks said, "Vegas, baby!".

Next time someone tells you we need to spend more money on education (or that teachers are "overworked"), tell them we spend plenty--it just gets wasted on bullshit (and they could "work" less if they didn't have so much bullshit overhead outside of class).

I still think, when the chips are down the media winds up going against their preferred ignoring of Romney and hand him a club to bang Obama over the head with. There are a lot more whites on aid in raw numbers than Blacks and I am not offering this as a racial thing but nobody worth anything WANTS to be impoverished. If Mitt holds tough and says, "Nonbody's gonna let you starve but I want an economy that puts you back to work." he'll grab some of choom's hitchhiker class.
Mitt has not been aggressive enough grabbing at bark's "hard base" that isn't really.

Chaperoned
Invited to help renovate a posh resort-town pub, Christine finds herself chaperoned by her father for the first time in nearly 30 years. Sparkling with humor, this delightful novel, which spent over 100 weeks on GermanyÂ’s bestseller list, captures the unique--and occasionally exasperating--bond between fathers and daughters.

As for the 47% statement, I have some problems with that because: 1) 99.5% of Hollywood is behind Obama, and they're certainly not dependent on government; 2) a lot of seniors DON'T pay taxes, but yet they support Romney. And, I work at a university and, geez, everyone I know who works there is hard core Democrat - not exactly living off the government. And, doesn't it seem like most the tech giants are all Democrat?
I think he'd be more correct in saying that Obama supporters WANT big government, rather than that they're all dependent on government

Absolutely and if he comports himself like he did in response to the Embassy attacks and calls out Barack on gas prices, jobs, the deficit, health care costs with a nice little chart or white board he'll grab some of those people. I will be HAPPY if Mitt doesn't cave and says in effect to the poor-"I believe in you and I know you will do better when we all do better." Good morning, 'rons and 'ronettes.
Today is the birthday (1905) of Greta Garbo. She's not a fave of mine - I like that icy, cool beauty, but Garbo never seems to have anything going on underneath that beauty - but she has certainly entranced movie lovers and fellow stars since first coming over in 1925 with director Mauritz Stiller. She made nine silent films in America, three of them with John Gilbert, the doomed, alcoholic star who was probably the love of her life.
Always extremely shy, Garbo refused to allow visitors on the set and even ordered black flats put up when she was filming to keep extras and crew from watching her. She never signed autographs, almost never attended a Hollywood party, refused to answer fan mail and, in general, stayed closed within her tight little world, which led to the association of her with a line from Grand Hotel: "I want to be alone, I just want to be alone."
In 1927, she was preparing to film Anna Karenina for MGM. The front office decided that they needed to change the title because they thought such a foreign name might confuse American audiences (!). Various titles were brainstormed, with Heat finally coming out on top. When the decision was announced, there was general agreement that it was a fine, catchy title. But screenwriter Frances Marion shook her head. "I can just see the billboards now - Greta Garbo in Heat!"
The film ended up with the title Love.
Today is also the anniversary of the premiere (1922) of what has been called "the strangest movie ever made" - Benjamin Christensen's witch-craze semi-documentary Haxan. Christensen attempted to show - through both his 'documentary' episodes and dramatized sequences of torture, nudity and sexual perversity which caused the film to be censored or banned in several countries - that a combination of superstition and ignorance of mental illnesses led to the hysteria of witch hunts through mediaeval and early modern Europe.
It was re-released in 1968 as Witchcraft Through The Ages, with a jazz accompaniment in place of the original's own score and with narration by William S. Burroughs (opening with Burroughs - in campy Bela Lugosi style - intoning "Witches. Witches! WITCHES!"). Both versions are available on the DVD released by the Criterion Collection in 2001. I highly recommend it for Hallowe'en viewing.
And that's it for today. Prayers for our beautiful country, strength to R/R and happiness to all of you.

I honestly don't think the election will be close.
One of two things will happen:
1) Romney makes the election a referrendum on the economy, in which case all the swing states line up behind him and he pinches a couple of surprise gains....300+
2) Obama (and the media) succeed in making Romney unelectable, in which case it will be 2008 revisited minus IA and NC....

We are ahead as I said during convention afterglow for Abortionpalooza by a nose and at worst are even.
I want to verbally punch even Fox in the fucking mouth for not highlighting the fantasy status of the CBS/NYT poll in particular hard to knock the donk press off the plate.
We don't have the audience to undermine this attempted Jedi mind tricking of the electorate yet Bart. After this cycle I am going to start funding whichever website will organize and run an op to achieve three things.
1) gather intel and undermine the effectiveness for and deference by the press to the democrats.
2) breaks down and highlights the bias and games played with polling and works to shame the media into diagnosing internals.
3) educates the lower middle class and below on free market theory and dynamics and empowers people to understand economic reality.
Karl Rove ain't part of the solution he'd part of the problem.

Dave I think Mitt needed knocked out of "don't rile up the Barack backers" anyway. He was too focused on trying to grab the Middle Class crossover support Barack picked up and not worried enough about making a play for the working poor. The GOP should target the working poor HARD that they work and undermine their welfare benefit shows they are ideologically our best play because they suffer for their belief in the free market trying to rise.
The working poor SHOULD hate Barack's economic stewardship.

The thing I would recommend to MT's camp is that they need to now go on the offensive and say, since capable people who want to stay on the govt will not vote for him anyways, however there are many middle class people, some in my family, who are on unemployment, but they rather be working, this is who MR and his camp need to appeal too, and make this explicit in their talking points.
You know, the same "bitter clinging Americans" Barry loves looking down on, these same people are down on their lives, they want to work, they don't want dependency, MR's camp can use this whole thing to their advantage.

Yes Rove is very good at seperating the swells from their hard earned jack and using it to produce very good ads. Other than that he's the pudgy turd who gave us the compassionate conservatism song and dance that blurred the differences between the donks and Repukes and was the architect for the disasters of 2006 and 2008. He's the antithesis of the Tea Party who will eventually shove that whiteboard up his fat ass.

George Allen is damaged goods, unfaily IMHO but there you have it. In Ohio we screwed up running Mandel against brown we should have ran DeWine to get his seat back, Brown is popular for whatever reason in the Cincy area despite it being solid R territory and if DeWine had reasserted his old conservative views in SW Ohio and repudiated the Cleveland gang I think he'd be ahead. I live where the Dept of Defense tells my wife to live right now Indiana but I'm from Ohio.

I agree. It would also be nice to see the GOP working to make the Bush/Obama tax cuts an all or nothing deal. If Barack wins and wants taxes raised on the top earners the GOP must simply allow the tax cuts to sunset and tax the everloving shit out of the "poor" again. I paid taxes on the first dollar I made.

@89
But isn't the whole point of Romney's campaign to target the swing voters, Indies, and soft Dems? He's not campaigning for the base....the base is turning out for him anyway. Is there one conservative in the US who isn't sitting on their front verandah with baseball bats waiting for Obama to pop his head up?
It's natural that the base might be pissed off about Romney not going in harder and tearing strips of Obama, but this isn't supposed to be a campaign for the base.

80 It seems as though conservatives and Republicans are upset because Romney insulted Reagan tax credits and Republican tax credits that allow for this 47%. See the Daily Caller today.
Seriously, does anyone in the conservative media want him to win? I think Republicans/conservatives would rather have four years to wait for their next Reagan rather than defeat Barack Obama. Good luck with that.

I was initially very much against Romney and, while he still wouldn't be my ideal candidate, he's the only choice against the JEF and I have to vote for him. Since I came to grips with that he's looked a lot better. I see a lot of enthusiasm building for him. But that doesn't mean that people can't differ on the effectiveness of his message.

"As for the 47% statement, I have some problems with that because: 1) 99.5% of Hollywood is behind Obama, and they're certainly not dependent on government;"
First, how many people are actually considered part of "Hollywood"? A few thousand? Less than 100k surely. Out of a country of 300 million? Not a significant sample, I think. Second, Hollywood lives on tax breaks from local governments- it shouldn't be a surprise that several major movies have been filmed in and around Detroit in the last couple years... Michigan made it veeeeery attractive from a tax break standpoint to shoot there.
"2) a lot of seniors DON'T pay taxes, but yet they support Romney."
These seniors have already paid taxes, their entire lives. They aren't real fond of earflaps raiding 716 billion from the health plan they spent their entire lives paying taxes for. Ergo, RMoney support.
"And, I work at a university and, geez, everyone I know who works there is hard core Democrat - not exactly living off the government."
Oh? I trust you're not working at a land grant university. Also, unless you're working at a private institution your university is most definitely taking gov't coin to keep running. And if memory serves, Uncle Sam is now in charge of ALL student loans, which pay for tuition which pays for professors and administrators and...well, you get the picture.
"And, doesn't it seem like most the tech giants are all Democrat?"
Well, Immelt (GE) is- this gives him cover for relocating manufacturing offshore and allows for things like GE paying exactly ZERO business tax in a given year. And GM/Chrysler- they run donkey because they are union/earflap owned. The dopes in Silicon Valley are, can't explain that other than they all suffer from California Dementia.
Guess I got problems with your problems.

With public housing comes inspections by social workers and buttinsky-types who want to "improve" people. With student loans come payments that cannot be discharged by bankruptcy. With federal school lunch guidelines come crappy lunches (and I was very encouraged to read a story about a high school and middle school whose students went on "strike" against the new lunches and started carrying their own in protest.
People don't like this type of stuff when it intrudes on their lives, and it is now to the point that almost everyone has something that is irritating the heck out of them. Getting government out of a lot of these areas would improve things tremendously for a lot of people.

That's a large part of it, yes, but he had lots of other problems of his own, not related to Rove's advice...like thinking the federal government should do something about every single problem; being far too loyal to old friends (cronies) who didn't deserve the loyalty (like the one he tried to put on the SC) and mostly spending too damn much of other people's money. I think that W is a really good human being, but he was a pretty horrid president, especially in his second term.

Mitt can win the election tomorrow or hell even today with the one two punch of this "gaffe" and a promise to get US ground forces out of the ME except for legacy operations.
I am not necessarily a fan of that wide a statement but if he intones "I will of course reserve the right to protect US and allied interests" he'll blow the heart out of Ogabe's ruthless bleeding of our forces in 'ghani to no strategic gain.

There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what. All right, there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it. That that's an entitlement. And the government should give it to them. And they will vote for this president no matter what...These are people who pay no income tax.

Sharon Sweet apparently has a criminal history too. You can look up her mug shot on the internet ... in 2001 she was arrested for trafficking in stolen goods. and there is another report for arrested for assault with intent to commit felony in june of this year. Now this may not be THE Sharon E. Sweet, but if google is good enough for that crack ABC investigative reporter Mr. ObamaCockSucker Ross, then its good enough for me.
BTW, I did check Sharon Sweek Florida Tea Party and came up empty.
Now she is teaching math in community college and pressuring kids to sign a blood oath to obama.
If her mug shot doesnt tell you all about who she is, check out her teacher reviews at the Brevard County Community College....the kids for the most part hate her guts and rate her overly low on all metrics..,

The Air Force is 65 years old today.
But many of the buildings at Barksdale are older, which surprised me at first.
>>The dedication of Barksdale Field Feb. 2, 1933 , marked the culmination of a concerted community action. As early as 1924 the citizens of Shreveport became interested in hosting a military flying field. In 1926 Shreveport citizens learned that the 3rd Attack Wing stationed at Fort Crocket , Texas , would be enlarged by 500 percent and would require at least 20,000 acres to support aerial gunnery and a bombing range. In February 1928, a delegation of prominent Shreveport citizens hired a young crop duster, an Air Corps captain named Harold Ross Harris, to fly over the local area and find a suitable site for an airfield.

Damn straight. We should flood the Mitt Romney suggestion box. I fell in love with Reagan because he said he believed in my ability to work my way up and out of poverty.
Reagan inspired me to study Hayek and Friedman.
Here's what I wrote the campaign....
Governor Romney with regards to your "gaffe" as Mother Jones is calling your analysis of Barack Obama's electoral coalition, I'd like to suggest you give a press conference with a white board and explain that the working poor of the nation are the biggest group hurt by the Obama economy. I grew up and out of poverty by embracing Reagan's message of opportunity as the best option to reduce poverty. If you look in the camera and say simply, "I hate poverty and I want to end it with growth," and highlight Obama's gas prices, energy costs, and food inflationary pressure you can undermine his standing with the poor who want to do better.
I understand it is counter-intuitive sir, and i want you to know I respect your life choices about your inheritance and work immensely. That character is THE FUEL of the American engine, and if you embrace shale, coal and cheap energy with a reduction in corporate taxation you will gain tailwinds. If you'll indulge one other suggestion, the best way to disrupt his coalition is for you to formally embrace a removal of US ground forces from all non-legacy peacekeeping operations in the ME reserving the right to intercede on behalf of US interests.
President Obama has lost more troops in Afghanistan to less gain than President Bush, it is time to make him own that.
Best wishes and utmost respect,

I was unaware that was particularly controversial.
According to the regressives and their media conspirators, it's controversial to say that more and more people going on food stamps, welfare, or disability is a BAD thing. Somehow it's supposed to be construed as a GOOD thing. So anytime someone actually mentions how many people use these government handouts, it's immediately controversial.
Doesn't mean it ain't the truth.

To be kind, there are a lot of daughters that have nothing to do with their fathers, if they even know them. In some schools, the father/daughter dance would be mostly empty.
Those daughters dance, too.
Just for the other fathers, at the local stripclub. It's all good.
Posted by: garrett at September 18, 2012 05:32 AM (0cb+d)
What's even better is that the article makes it impossible to tell if the city is banning Father/Daughter dances entirely or only school dances. It appears to be only school dances but, really, you have to get that by implication from the article.
They use the idiotic Title IX argument, as if that has anything to do with anything. If we're going to use Title IX for everything above and beyond athletics, then you'll have to ban Math Team, Chess Club, A/V Club, etc, for being predominantly male-dominated, and Chorus and Drama Club for being predominantly female-dominated.
BTW, I'd love the ACLU to try and ban father/daughter wedding dances. That would be FUN.

Please don’t believe the “news” coming from the Democrat Cheer leaders in the media when they report on polls.
The Romney Ryan campaign is not in disarray. Mitt Romney is not short on money; but Obama is. Romney has people like the Koch brothers and Sheldon Adelson ready to spend “whatever” is necessary to win. Obama burned through $120 million attacking Romney. Has anyone even heard the word Bain lately? How about “tax returns” “he’s a felon” or “off shore bank accounts” – not one of those words and phrases laid a glove on Romney – and Obama can’t get that $120 million back.
Here are the facts:
Barack Obama is not winning any group he didnÂ’t win in 2008; he is not doing better with any group he did win in 2008; not Jews; not young voters; not Hispanics; not Blacks and not women.
Even CNNÂ’s latest streaming pile of shit poll found Republican enthusiasm 6 points higher than Democrat enthusiasm. It found that Independent voters favor Romney by 14 points and this agreed with Carville and GreenbergÂ’s Democracy Corps survey.
For the first time ever Black ministers are telling their people to stay home on Election Day. A May poll in North Carolina – yes PPP – found 20% of Blacks ready to vote for Romney over Obama’s Gay marriage position. A Georgia Gallup poll in May found the same 20% of Blacks ready to vote for Romney. A late August poll in Michigan found 23% of Blacks would vote for Romney and an unreported NAACP poll in Florida found 23% of Sunshine State Blacks lining up behind Romney.
Catholic support is at 27% exactly half of what it was in 2008. No Democrat has ever won the presidency while losing the Catholic vote and Obama isnÂ’t even close.
As per Rasmussen, Republican registration has grown just since June and is now at its historic high. At 37.6% it is 4.3% higher than the Democrat registration which is less than one point above its lowest point ever.
For prospective, the spread in registration was 1.3 points just before the 2010 election. The spread is more than three times larger now.
Can anyone of our “conservative” heroes please stand up and say these things?

The problem is seemingly intelligent people (Math teachers and engineers)
I'll give you the engineers, but Math teachers? Sorry, no dice. Unless you're talking mathematicians who teach advanced math at a postsecondary level; otherwise, no. Teachers are, in my experience, among the stupidest people I've ever met. Not all of them, but more than you'd expect for their profession.
I say "more often than you'd expect" for those who've never had to deal with an "Education" major in college. If you've had that special pleasure, you realize that finding ANY intelligent teachers is a bit like hitting the jackpot.

Thank you for pointing out the data facts. Romney will win in November. Because of the "fact" that the President is a clownish buffoon with malignant purposes.
What depresses me is the "fact" that our problems are intractable, and the country is irreparably divided and broken. We can't unscramble the eggs.
Romney winning does not fix this place, but "we" will get 4 or 8 years to do our own prep. And that's worth a great deal.

@348: "I just watched the Israeli/Palestinian one on HotAir. It was three minutes of Romney speaking coherently and realistically on the problems of a two state solution. I have no idea how the left could possibly think they could make hay with it."
They can make hay of it because they *know* that very few people will take the time to watch the videos beyond the 5 second out-of-context bytes and the misleading headline reports. All they have to do is *say* it's a BIG GAFFE and the mentally-challenged among us will take their word for it. They know their audience and exactly what it takes to lead them on.

Newbusters the Kraut Hammers the WHo for pretending the media is unfair to them...
KRAUTHAMMER: They live in such a bubble that they actually think that the press is unfair to them. This tells you in what planetary system they live, because I don't think they're faking it. I really think that's what they think. I guess their baseline is 2008. To them, that was fair coverage, which as we know, there'd never been anything like it. Jake Tapper said the media then was pretty pro-Obama. But I think they live in another universe. I have heard from these people and they actually think the Washington Post is unfair. As you know, I see a lot of that on Inside Washington.

I just look at these people and am always amazed by them because it seems like they genuinely believe that they are fighting for a postion a majority of Americans hold -- and they're a group that finds solidarity with Liberals. I just can never get over how delusional their worldview is.

I forget who I was listening to on the radio the other day who made this point, but the FDR/JFK democrats out there who still vote Democrat are doing it for the wrong reasons. FDR's social security and LBJ's Medicare were created with the (flawed) understanding that American citizens WOULD PAY INTO THEM. It was supposed to be that Americans would contribute to these programs, and then when the time came for them to need them, they'd be there. It's a hopelessly pie-in-the-sky socialist message -- "Everyone contributes for the betterment of everyone else" -- but the point was that everyone contributes.
The Democratic party of today has completely voided that message. It's gone from being "everyone works hard and that shared work contributes to the health and welfare of us all" to "poor people are poor because rich people take all the money, so rich people need to spread their wealth around." There's nothing in there about "a fair shake for the every man." Instead of rewarding hard work, today's Democratic party seek to demonize it. It's pure class warfare, and a complete 180 from what those FDR/JFK democrats originally voted for.
If nothing else, I'm hoping a few of those voters (the ones I call the Ma and Pa Kettle Democrats) will hear this snippet from Romney and say to themselves, "Well... yeah. He's got a point." And maybe they'll still vote for Obama, but maybe they won't. Because they'll actually be THINKING for a change.
The Ma and Pa Kettles are the only portion of the Democratic voting block that allows them to retain a thread of legitimacy. The Dems have created a party almost entirely comprised of radical, fringe movements. By their very nature they exist on the edges of the mainstream and intersect only briefly. There is far more in common between the Ma and Pa Kettles and your average Tea Partier than there is between Code Pink and the New Black Panthers. Strip the Ma and Pa Kettle voters away and the Democratic party will collapse under the weight of it's competing interest groups.

I was just saying here this week how the GOP needs to embrace the Makers v. Takers dynamic, because that is what American elections are about anymore.
I wouldn't have advised that this narrative be launched via a secretly-taped video. This kind of stuff needs to start between elections, not during them. It may not help now, but it will help in future elections.

SANFORD — In May, Circuit Judge Debra Nelson, who has taken over the George Zimmerman murder case, rejected the "stand your ground" claim of a 21-year-old Sanford man who was charged with murder.
A month later, a Seminole County jury acquitted him.
That case, Florida v. Kishawn Jones, is important because it could signal what's ahead for Zimmerman, the 28-year-old Neighborhood Watch volunteer who killed Trayvon Martin, an unarmed black 17-year-old.

Lot's of talk about free speech these days. What's the oppostite of free speech?
From Reason.com:
From a recent issue of The New York Times, in an article detailing how California has been leading the way on implementing Obamacare, especially when it comes to setting up the law's health-care exchange through which individuals will be able to shop for coverage:
Hollywood, an industry whose major players have been supportive of President Obama and his agenda, will be tapped. Plans are being discussed to pitch a reality television show about “the trials and tribulations of families living without medical coverage,”according to the Ogilvy plan. The exchange will also seek to have prime-time television shows, like “Modern Family,” “Grey’s Anatomy”and Univision telenovelas, weave the health care law into their plots.
“I’d like to see 10 of the major TV shows, or telenovelas, have people talking about ‘that health insurance thing,’ ” said Peter V. Lee, the exchange’s executive director. “There are good story lines here.”
Between this and the coming blasphemy laws, I feel just great about our freedoms.

"Please don’t believe the “news” coming from the Democrat Cheer leaders in the media when they report on polls.
Can anyone of our “conservative” heroes please stand up and say these things?"

The Presidents foreign policy has been ripped to shreds and the administration telling everyone to not ask any questions because they won't be giving any answers, and it actually works. And tbiggest news is the timing of Mitt Romeny's response to this disaster.
Now Romney tells the truth about the situation we face with almost half the country paying no tax and now it will be fact checked and messaged and the press will hound him.

This is a key liberal talking point. The "though" is a tell, suggesting it undermines the general premise without demonstrating it. TIP: "Retirees" who paid taxes all of their lives are somewhat different than the rest of the tax-free Democrat base. Yes, the portion of the 47% who paid taxes their whole lives and are now retired living on a pension are potential, even likely, Romney voters who could possibly be insulted by his statement. They realize it. They need help. Who do you spread the notion of "income inequality" that is at the heart of Obama's campaign? Democrats? No. It was liberal writers and academics and activists. Same for the "99% v. 1%."
The GOP doesn't have the media and academia on its side to launch and sell these narratives, nor does it have nearly the same number of activists as foot soldiers/union tools.

No the problem with the GOP and message is they all have to be like Gingrich and just smack the living hell at them and say what they want to say and not answer the MSM's bullshit questions.
The narrative is already being built that Romney has had a disasterous September.
If Obama where Republican the MSM would be shredding his foreign policy.
The collective GOP has been absolutely silent about this as well.
I MEAN, WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON HERE!!!!

No, we have drones here for that now. Obama can just send the video to the Mullah Blasphemy Star Chamber.

I missed that, too, I guess. I've been busy with actual work at work. Including a weekend roll-out of a new system that took until 4 on Monday Morning- I've been kind of checked out since Friday, really.
I'm not getting the fuss over these comments. Did he say anything untrue? I would think that DrewM and others would be happy that, in private, he understands the nature of what he's up against.
That may have been the most realistically conservative statement I've heard Mitt make.

Wait, didn't the NY Times report last year that Obama has given up on the working clase white vote?
Why, yes they did.
The sound of crickets was deafening.

They have a point. Obama is screwing things up in exactly the same way as Carter, a Honkey-American, screwed things up. It is clearly his white half that is causing all of the trouble.

Same here. Haven't figured out how to fuck with them yet.
Thinking something along the lines of, "Maybe some Romney supporters should kill an Ambassador, then Obama will have the film maker arrested."
But that's a little harsh and their crack-addled brains would twist it to me calling for the death of another ambassador.
Or maybe, "If that would have been an Obama event, that filmmaker would be in jail by now for "voluntary" questioning."

Don't answer the media's questions. Check. That's a great plan.

Them: What? No one told him that. Honey, you father sometimes imagines things. You know he's getting on in years......

Better call up the local election office and make sure no one requested an absentee ballot for him (with the intention of filling it out themselves).

You absolutely should! It's insulting and outrageous. And I agree with HeatherRadish - check with your local election office to make sure no one's on record requesting an absentee ballot for him.

Although its projection is for this winter to be generally cold and dry, snow is in the forecast for the second half of December for the Atlantic Corridor from Richmond, Va., to Boston.
"The snowiest periods will be in mid-December, just before Christmas, and in mid- to late February," says the Region 2 Forecast.
These specifics are even given:
Dec. 15-20: "Rain and snow, then sunny, cold." Dec. 21-25: "Periods of rain and snow, turning cold." Dec. 26-29: "Snow showers, cold."
Heck, snow is even mentioned around Election Day (Nov. 6) and right after Thanksgiving (Nov. 22). It's "rain to snow, then sunny, cold" for Nov. 6 to 14, and "wet snow, cold" for Nov. 23 to 25.

First they came for the rich,
and I didnÂ’t speak out because I wasnÂ’t rich.
Then they came for the racists,
and I didnÂ’t speak out because I didnÂ’t think I was a racist.
Then they came for the 1st Amemdment,
and I didnÂ’t speak out because I didnÂ’t need 1st Amemdment that day.
Then they came for me,
and there was no one left who could speak for me.

Ok, so yesterday's video has the potential to be damaging. I can admit that. I still think he mostly told the truth in them and it's a point he can win on.
But today's videos? I mean can someone help me out here and explain the supposed bad in them? I can't see it? It's all gold here.

From my favorinte election model so far (and Nate Silver had nothing to do with this):
Election prediction models “suggest that presidential elections are about big things and the stewardship of the national economy,” Bickers said. “It’s not about gaffes, political commercials or day-to-day campaign tactics. I find that heartening for our democracy.”
