— Ace As Nolte allows, each of his links goes to a media piece -- so they are mentioning it. But there's a big difference between mentioning a fact and pushing it as a Matter of National Conversation, and right now the media is too busy pushing Bain attacks to note we seem to be accelerating in our fall into a recession, or a confirmed depression.
Among the worst of the tea leaves: Mid-Atlantic manufacturing activity contracted again, the Conference Board's leading economic indicators dropped .3% (same link), and US home sales dropped 5.4% to the lowest level since October. On the confidence front, 63% of the country erroneously believes we're in a recesssion (we're in a depression).
Obama has, incidentally, logged more hours playing golf than attending economic meetings.
Green Shoots
You're gonna want to hit the ball hard and sharp. They haven't mowed the green in a week, so the long blades will bring a lot of drag to your putt.

Once again.... its even worse than this...
If you take deficit spending out of the GDP numbers, we have been in a Depresion since 2008.
If you use as the baseline, the % of people working in 2008, unemployment is WELL above 10.7%.
Yet NEITHER party has an interest in telling people just how bad it really is... they let the Jerrymandered numbers be the talking point...

I was reading something that the money for the student loan interest thingy (technical term) is coming from the pension benefit guarantee fund. Yeah. I see no possible way that any of that is going to go wrong.
So how's the Baltic Dry Index?
I mention this because it's the only thing I know that makes it sound like I know what I'm talking about when it comes to this kind of stuff.

Sales are up 4.5 percent from a year ago, evidence that the market is still recovering. But the annual sales pace is below the 6 million that economists consider healthy.

The reason he spends so much time on the golf course is he sucks at golf. Takes a lot longer when you take a ton more shots. He also sucks at throwing a baseball, bowling and riding a bike.
You should also compare the amount of time he spends at fundraisers. That number has to be through the roof.

See, road-building justifies anything and everything the government does or can do to you.
Start a successful business? You didn't build that. It was the government that built the roads, after all.
In fact, by building even a single road, it means that we are all effectively the government's children, and are no more responsible for the results of our own actions than a 5 year-old is.
See? Behold the power of road-building.

"A certificate of debt, found in a regional archive, attests that
Mittenwalde lent Berlin 400 guilders on May 28 1562, to be repaid with
six percent interest per year.
According to Radio Berlin Brandenburg (RBB), the debt would amount
to 11,200 guilders today, which is roughly equivalent to 112 million euros ($136.79 million).
Adjusting for compound interest and inflation, the total debt now lies in the trillions, by RBB's estimates." http://tiny.cc/l77ohw

I see that the Webster report is now out that concludes that Fort Hood shooter Hasan was not investigated by the FBI despite clear warnings, including him posting his support for terror bombings and civilian deaths on a terrorist website, because "the Washington [FBI] agents thought that interviewing American Muslims who visit extremist websites was a sensitive issue and did not reach out to HasanÂ’s bosses at the Defense Department."

Every sane country has held its prisoners for the duration of the conflict.
When the top ten Sunni and Shia clerics all rescind the Jihad against the West, then we should release them from Guantanamo.
And that is accepting the farcical idea that they are prisoners of war, rather than spies who should have been executed on the battlefield.
The GC states that anyone not in the uniform of a sovereign nation may be considered a spy and shot.
