After claiming in March of 2009 he "absolutely would not switch parties," Arlen Specter defected to the Democrat party the following month. Because, after all, it's not about being a Republican; it's about holding onto power. And saving your own skin. He later went on to give Obama the 60 votes necessary to pass Obamacare--against the wishes of the majority of voters.
Former Sen. Arlen Specter (Pa.) writes in a new book that President Obama ditched him in the 2010 election after he helped Obama win the biggest legislative victory of his term by passing healthcare reform.Specter also claims that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) did not uphold his promise to grant him seniority accrued over 28 years of service in the Senate as a Republican.
Poor guy. They treated him like this, and he was such a nice man.
Rick Santorum just emailed to say, "That's right. Arlen Specter, he's a stand up guy."

The more cruel/hateful you are to someone, often, the more you come to hate them. It becomes a vicious cycle- they treated her badly, at first, because they feared for their Man-Child. The more they treated her badly, the more they came to hate her. Now their hate has taken over, and they couldn't treat her well if they wanted to.

Since McKinnon was named as the staffer who thought up the idea of Palin, he'll stipulate that she was a "net positive" for the campaign. So he blames the Lehman crash for the whole thing because it absolves him of that shitheaded idea for McLame to suspend his campaign and come across like a chicken with it's head cut off
McKinnon, Wallace, and Schmidt were briefly taken on by the Huntsman campaign, and now their only employment prospects are doing their best David Frum impressions for the thirty pieces of silver from the MBM
Hannity keeps bringing on Nicolle Wallace as a guest so she can shill her book. He's got to be the dumbest man on Fox and Talk Radio

I understand what they mean, but it has got to be the shallowest reason I have ever heard of. But I've heard it from several liberal women I know, and they don't know each other. So it is out there.

You can thank the GOP voters who abandoned Santorum over his endorsement. And you can thank the NRSC for abandoning Santorum.
Their petulance and incompetence resulted in two PA democrat Senators (Casey Jr. and Specter), giving Obama the magic number to pass Obamacare.

Honestly, I don't notice much of any accent when Palin speaks.
That's because the high-pitched dog whistle that is the police siren she has by way of a speaking voice renders me deaf for minutes at a time.

I ALWAYS got those two mixed up. I could never remember which one was the fat nosed liberal, and which was the opportunistic, pinch-faced scold.
We've had some real winners in the Senate down through the years. I could count on one, maybe two hands, the number of R Senators in my lifetime that I've admired.

Palin has an accent, but she sounds like an American when I listen to her.
Compared to the slow, snide cadence of the current WH occupant, with its slithering "s" sounds, I cannot understand how anyone would have a problem with Palin's voice.

"On his radio show, Ring of Fire, Robert F. Whereas treating with the Soviets to thwart an American President's policies, as Teddy did, is the highest form of patriotism I guess. Still, we have to defer to a Democrat's views on treason, which are derived from first-hand knowledge and experience.

Correctamundo. Her MERE existence is a daily repudiation of leftist ideas. The fact she isn't hard on the eye, uses run-on sentences longer than the Alyeska pipeline and is "stupid" is frosting on the cake. Plus she's pretty hard on game animals. It's why they can't let go, even though our side pretty much has.
