Two Crossroads Ads About To Hit Airwaves
— Ace

I'm working on a real post. Or I will be working on a real post. Until then, this is a link post.

It contains links.

It possesses linkage.

Oh Here's Something: I took off from the blog for like 90 minutes yesterday to "debate," sort of, William Saletan, the liberal who's not so keen on Free Speech anymore.

He eventually attempted to plonk me, which I knew he would. In fact, I predicted his plonking line of argument -- yes, but this movie isn't a good movie -- and advised him to avoid the stupid impulse to play that card.

After all, the Islamists are not objecting to the production values of the movie. They're objecting to the message -- the same message that Salman Rushdie got a fatwah for, and that was supposedly a good book. (To hear liberal critics tell it, at least.)

He eventually played it anyway, just as I'd forewarned.

You can't plonk an plonker.

You magnificent dummy, I read your book.

I Guess I Got Through To Saletan... Because he's now telling Muslims -- and Christians and Jews and Hindus -- that they shouldn't go banana-sandwich over videos.

You know, like non-Muslims have been doing so oft of late.

33 On CBS news now: "Today in 23 countries Muslim protests over that internet movie spread." Yeah. Huge crowds of hundreds and camera shows tight shot of only 2 signs (exactly alike) complaining about a movie. All the rest carry death to america and AQ flags. Now, after claiming the killings were all about the movie, they are interviewing people that say it was an organized plan by specific folks. It is both so there is no way we could have prepared for it or something.

Yeah...'cheesey'...and also very revealing about these idiots.

You have to get a permit, pay a fee...in order to be able to hold a 'Yard Sale', in most cities.

It often takes weeks to get your permit, because they have to process it and mail it back to you.

[All this, thanks to their other Liberal bretheren who've passed these stupid laws.]

Heh.

They're having their 'Yard Sale Day' a week from now?

Good luck with getting a permit in time.

They're also encouraging people to steal their roommate's stuff...to put in these Yard Sales for Barky.

Typical libtard thinking.

104 > So William Saletan is a real person? Funny, I always assumed he was just some figment of my fevered imagination - a bizarro William Safire, as it were.

Maybe twice I've read something by him that was "A" material. In years. Most of the time, he's below average and not worth reading.

I'm always associating him with William Saroyan, who was also an extreme mediocrity.

He couldn't argue his way out of a wet paper bag. And if I hear one more person say, "the prophet mohammed" I'm going to puke. Anyone who says that needs to be slammed, the dhimmi shitheads. Mo was no prophet, as we all know, but a murdering pedophilic maniac. He was also one of history's most infamous plagiarists, not only stealing from the Old and New Testament but then turning around and calling Jews and Christians "liars" to explain the difference between the original stories (hundreds of years older in the Christian context, THOUSANDS in the Jewish context) and mo's demented plagiarized versions. Funny how no one ever bothers mentioning that as they are screaming for "respect" for the savage political ideology of islam, the formalization fo dsert arab culture built to do nothing but submit people to its rule - which is why it's called "submission" - to help maintain and continue a belligerent, violent, expanding land empire. I can barely stand the idiocy that is promulgated around the West by the self-hating leftists in defense of their noble savage political ideology of islam.

Because only one of those symbols represents a group of people who refuses to coexist as a group. So warning effing Presbyterians to stop lopping off people's heads - is a form of *lie* you commit *precisely* because you continue to deny reality. It's a Dane County judge.  Madison.

The previous lawsuit was on the process.  This lawsuit is on the substance.  It was filed by Madison teachers and some Milwaukee city employees.  It will be upheld.  Then some other union will file a lawsuit in Dane County, and it will be ruled unconstitutional by another judge.  And it will be appealed again.  This is what they do.  This is why the election of Judge Prosser was so critical.  Dane County judges strike down every law that comes out of the Repbulican legislature.  Then it gets appealed.  It's maddening.

Posted by: Merovign, Dark Lord of the Sith at September 14, 2012 07:09 PM (bxiXv) This would be funny if it weren't the honest truth. It's just amazing, really. But, at least, now we all have first-hand experience in how the most lunatic, insane regimes take power even in the face of their utter stupidity and incompetence. It seems like lifetimes ago when Barky's butt-boys had actually proposed that Bush step down in December and let Barky just "take over" - for which there was no Constitutional mechanism for, at all, so that even the suggestion of such a thing should have let people know immediately what was coming - and after which Barky showed that he was too incompetent to even carry out the basic task of assembling a cabinet. The joke back then was that "Jesus could build a cabinet" and people were talking about how Palin would have had no problem assembling a decent cabinet in time, which we all knew to be true. But, the GOP caved in and finally started confirming total shitstains just to "get started" (which they NEVER should have done) and this nation was well on the way to total disaster. I doubt many people even remember this ancient history, since so many other offenses and fuck-ups have occurred since then. If only America had a memory ...

They are coming. Political ads are treated as "seasonal ads" by local radio and television stations, so the campaigns need to pay cash in advance for the ads. Romney didn't get his General Election funds until 2 weeks ago, so the ads were placed and funds distributed. It will take about a week for the ads to show up. The Obama ads that you are seeing are from his "Primary Election" funds and were placed and paid for well before the DNC.

But the sentence of the day has to be this one from an article posted on Slashdot: "Scientists have successfully restored and, in some cases, enhanced decision-making ability in brain-damaged monkeys on cocaine..." bit.ly/RXHTqZ I didn't intend any political linkage on the sentence of the day, but if you wish to infer one, go right ahead.

180 Ace was awesome! Thanks for defending free speech. It is about time someone did this week considering Eric Holder and Thugs want to lock us all up. The garage sale ad reeks of desperation, and almost looks like a SNL skit. Loved how the White guy stole the Black guy's golf club to sale at Obama garage sale. LMAO! I think the whole thing was total dog whistle. And Ted Baxter needs to be locked up regarding his take on the whole rioting savages business. He is stuck on stupid with this movie bit, and to top it off, he had Ashley Wilkes on, who, blamed Bush for not finishing off the Taliban, which he claimed was on the ropes in 2002 or something. God help us!!!!!!

182 @165 on spending Romney $$$ in PA- Article on HA dated September 6th on this. However, I have heard that they are not conceding MI, or PA. Especially MI. As someone on this thread said, Romney/Ryan just got their money to spend 2 weeks ago, and this is just heating up.

183 Has anyone asked, or do they know where the 1,500 of our military members, who were practicing drills with the MB in Egypt are? Just wondering. With all that is going on, I keep having flashbacks to the Iranian hostage crisis. That and Mogadishu.

184 Skip add is good - about time somebody pointed out all the golf and fundraising. Might have been better, since most people don't know how much 100 rounds of golf are, to point out that that was mroe golf than the last x presidents combined.  Same with the fundraising events

185 Way late on this thread. Two things: (1) I'm with the guy above wondering what Romney's spending all this money on. I'm in Florida, in a swing-y enough city that Obama was here last week. Total silence from Romney & Co. on the air. I've probably seen twenty Allen West ads, and at least that many for Barack, since the last Romney ad. What's he doing? We were told to wait for the shock-and-awe after the convention, and nothing. He knows that $400 million or whatever is no good after about the first week of November, right? (2) That first ad above would draw blood, but it's clearly not cut for television. It's a web ad designed to drive traffic to Rove's group so he can run more tv ads about the deficit or how "disappointed" we are in Obama. Timing isn't even close, the narration isn't tv-ready, and let's face it, the tone isn't like anything we've seen against Obama this election (or the last one, after the McCain Celeb ad). I at least trust these outside groups' focus grouping, it really must be that the vaunted swing voter recoils at Obama being attacked. We all know what that's about, and it's a shame.
