— Ace A dozen states here, a dozen states there, and pretty soon you're talking about a serious number of states.
Unemployment rates rose in 27 states last month, the most in almost a year. The Labor Department said Friday that unemployment rates fell in 11 states and Washington, D.C. — the fewest declines since August. Rates were unchanged in 12 states.
As far as swing states -- Wisconsin lost jobs, but Ohio gained them.

Soooo if unemployment goes up in 27 States, and down in 11... is the National Rate still the same?
Annddd.... if we've only added 75K a month for three months... when it takes 150K a month to stay even? Thats a net 225K behind in those three months... yet not even a .1% increase over those months? How does anyone in Washington think these numbers are valid?

I'm still young, when I tell my son in years hence about the days before the internet, when a written letter would take 3 days to go from town to town, where you were charged the modern equivalent of $15 to talk to someone for 10 min if they didn't live in your local area. Where if you lost the manual to something you bought, it was gone, getting another one involved trying to call the company that made the device and getting them to mail you a new one. Your TV resolution was so bad you couldn't read a 20pt font on a 20 inch screen no matter how close you were.
Yeah seems like the stone ages and it was just last week.

Oh and profit MARGINS are at an all time high. A profit margin is different than actual profit. That's what happens when you get into a depression, you have to be efficient in order to survive deleveraging before you can expand again. Anybody else notice Fox choice the only homosexual black man to give the long-form interview?
Yeah just watched that. At least he's well-spoken.

Maybe we just need to give it a little time, on the middle name issue.
That was an amusing observation from the movie "Conspiracy Theory" - one that seems to have some validity. Part of the charm of that movie was how they interwove the insane with the sane, and had some middle ground areas they just let you wonder about.

"209 ....James Eagan Holmes.....is the shooter's name."
That was fast. While I was typing to just be patient, even. Is this for-real?
Disturbing about the folks with connections to the victims. Stands to reason that many of the victims would be neighbors or friends (to each other), so this will be a horrific hit for those close to the event. It's still possible that some victims will not pull through, but it sounds like many of them are very young, so that probably improves their chances. Brace yourself for hearing about horrifying permanent disabilities, though. Man, this sucks...
