Video: Eagle Swoops Down and Snatches Toddler [dri]

Crazy video below shows a Golden Eagle swooping down and snatching a toddler in a park and trying to fly away with him. Only the child's weigh saved him. This does not look like a hoax.

3 I always watch my daughter's small dog when he is outside, because we have large hawks around here, but I never thought an eagle would go after a human child, especially with an adult human right there.

6 we have some friends in the country that also have some very small dogs. whenever we are visiting hawks overfly their property all the time. whenever their tiny dogs are out the hawks start circling.

8 I know a family that lost a small dog to an owl. Happened right in front of them. A few weeks later the kids were playing in a tree near their home and found the dogs collar.

12 Their official team nickname is the "Golden Flashes," but the device on their helmet is clearly an eagle. Maybe the Kent State Golden Showers? I don't know, there has to be something less offensive than a golden eagle. Franklin and Marshall U has the ultimate inoffensive nickname. Look it up.

Anything small enough is prey to a predator large enough or numerous enough to take it without significant danger to itself. It all depends on the danger in the situation toward the predator as wild animals are obsessive in avoiding injury to themselves.

29 Sure it might not be a hoax with a trained eagle or slight of hand doll to kid switch. But why was he filming the eagle before it came down. Was it making any aggressive moves before or was it responding to aggressive moves by the people. Timing to get the camera out and film is what is odd like all accidents caught on tape.

I once had a red fox follow me for a couple of holes along a golf course. Sat in an adjoining sand trap and very calmly watched me putt, then tagged along for a while, keeping about 25 feet from me, just within a woods .

41 Yeah, it was at least 3 coyotes that attacked & killed her. I was reading about a 3 y/o being killed. Her neck was broke by the coyote. Also, where people picnic, a 2 y/o was dragged off but rescued. I had to scare off 3 coyotes who were in my yard trying to get to my neighbor's two small dogs. I rented a beach house one summer and we were grilling steaks on a gas grill. They were Porterhouse. A fucking seagull swooped down, grabbed one of the steaks right off the grill and flew off with it in his mouth. This was on a second floor deck and as soon as he cleared the railing he started going down. He tried like hell to pump his wings but the steak was too heavy and he dropped it about 30 feet before a tree line. After the Holy Shits! one of the guys went down and got it. I rinsed it off and put it back on the grill. Hey, it was a Porterhouse.

The video looks real.

47 My kid is into birding and says that bird doesn't look like a golden eagle to him. . . he says it resembles an osprey, but it looks too large to be an osprey. He thinks it's fake. Also, something about the size of the bird, to me, before it dives and after it dives looks different. Either way, whenever I see a bird of prey hovering overhead when there are small children and animals about, I am on my guard. I've seen hawks pick up chickens, small cats & dogs around my part of town.

51 Hoax. The CGI has been debunked. The "eagle"'s wing vanishes at one moment, and while the hoaxers did a real nice job with the shadows, they still couldn't get them exactly right, so experts have been able to debunk this.

55 This supposedly happened in Montreal, Canada, on 18 December (yesterday). 'Intellicast' weather records show 'overcast' for the whole day, with ceilings under 2000 feet: the sky in the video is blue with high thin clouds. Hence, some doubts.
