This is not America.

The Muslim Brotherhood President of Egypt demanded that those responsible for blasphemy be prosecuted, and look what's happened:

12 Funny thing is though, I don't see Barack Obama hauling his rear end away.  I see 5 uniformed sheriff's deputies.

My only point is, somebody made that call, and it might have originated in White House, but it could have just as easily been some no-name district attorney, or some sheriff looking to make himself look good with the party.

It doesn't start with Barack Obama, and it isn't going to stop when he's out of office.

20 I'm pretty much a free speech absolutist but Nakoula is not a poster-child victim here.

He's a serial grifter who's currently on probation after spending time in prison for various frauds. And some of the conditions for his probation include that he not use the internet and only use a single name when doing business. All of which he seems to have violated in the making of the movie. I don't doubt that the Obama administration is using everything they can to bring down pain on Nakoula - but he's no saint and probably deserves it.

21 I wondered about this film maker supposedly being a federal informant But then I though oh No possibility that it was suggested to him to make this film just to give Barry's brown shirts an excuse to act to see if there was push back. I mean surely our dedicated investigative reporters have already dug hard looking for a great scoop like that. Well thats as long as I could keep that up.

ACLU said they were "concerned" about the gov't asking YouTube to review the video, but also went out of their way to call it "repellant."

According to their website, they seem to be much more "concerned" about "Islamophobia" though:

"Most recently, Muslim communities in the U.S. have faced a disturbing wave of bigotry and outright hostility. From religiously motivated discrimination and attacks on existing and proposed Islamic centers to misguided congressional hearings, Muslims in America are being unfairly targeted simply for exercising their basic constitutional right to religious liberty."

That being said, if he violated his parole, fine, investigate him.  But if the investigation was triggered because he was involved with the film, I don't really give a fuck about the rest of it.

He might have been in violation of his parole, but that didn't seem to be an issue when he wasn't making movies that were "inconvenient" to the administration. Absolutely disgusting.

Look at it this way, if he violated the law, he deserves to be prosecuted, like every other criminal.  If we don't like the politics involved, fine, but let's not waste too much energy complaining that the law in being enforced in this circumstance.

74 While I know it's no defense to a probation violation, if the purpose of the probation restrictions was to prevent Nakoula from re-offending, this video seems like something irrelevant.  Technically he may have violated his probation, but was this part of some scheme to commit wire or mail fraud or identity theft, for instance ?  Or did he conceal his identity out of fear of being fatwa'd.  Either way, the admin should back this guy to the hilt re: 1st Amendment issues, thrash the assholes who've used this as a pretext and take the complicit governments to task before tying up the loose end of his probation, otherwise you're handing jihadists a propoganda victory at best.

If someone who was clean, never had a speeding ticket and did not have multiple allies used to commit fraud with was then taken in there will be worries. When they arrest "pastor" Terry Jones in relationship to this BHO must Resign. But in 43 days things change and 127 he will be gone by the will of the people.

82 The Q:

I would give credit to Obama for being a broken clock with the right time on that one.

If an American citizen during WWII publicly joined the Waffen SS, and started to help make propaganda films, the Army Air Corp would have dropped a 2000lb GP bomb on his ass in a heartbeat if they had his location. If he wanted a fair trial, he would have to throw down his gun, and surrender to a US soldier first.

Gahdahn (sp?) always had that option. He could have walked up to any US embassy and surrendered safely. He chose to fight instead, and became a legitimate military target.

The only tribunal he deserved was "Did he join the enemy?". His internet posting made that a short tribunal.

You know damn well what -- and, more to the point, WHO "triggered the investigation."

Look at the way the ever-vigilant-for-the-first-amendment media has jumped all over this. It was a lead piece on NBC news tonight...right after they praised Osama Obama for his handling of the shit in the M.E. The agitprop rantings of Choom Boy and Shrillery Clinton were right on key.

I don't care what other "reasons" were manufactured to put this poor shlub in the spotlight. Shit, until a few days ago, I had never heard of this POS "film;" didn't want to see it then, don't want to now.

The guy may be pond scum, and probably is. But he's an American, a trivial point that seems to have escaped our America-hating Muzzie president and his co-conspirators.

Yes, the Traitor-in-Chief should resign. But if he doesn't pull the pin by Monday, those 535 supposedly patriotic eunuchs in Congress should throw his ass on the street. We should be calling for that, relentlessly.

But, of course, we won't. Wouldn't be "fair." Or something.

Part of the commie/socialist/Alinsky playbook is to have a handy mechanism ready to use against perceived opponents.  With thousands of pages of federal regulations (which have the force of law), myriad treaty agreements, and legislation that was passed without any "representative" of we the people having bothered to read in full or in part, you can bet your a** that you are already in violation of at least one federal "law" just during today's living.  Plus, the prosecutors have access to essentially unlimited tax payer provided funds so the deck is well and truly stacked against the citizen.

The reports of a YouTube video inspiring these coordinated actions is pure crap. These actions were planned in advanced and the video story was a cover too easily repeated by the mind numbed American Media as drivel for the ignorant masses. It is a lie and they know it. Only Rush Limbaugh had the courage to tell America what it needed to heard “The Al-Qaeda terrorist leaders, itÂ’s not about a movie to them. It was 9/11. ItÂ’s the fact that they donÂ’t like us, and thereÂ’s nothing new about it, and they donÂ’t have to do anything except exist, to be the targets of these kinds of attacks.”  Our presence as a Judeo-Christian nation offends many Muslims inside and outside of this country, and is endorsed by the current occupants of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. To add insult to injury Hillary Clinton is blaming the attacks on an internet video, thus insulting the intelligence of Americans who pay attention to what is going on.

Now, I admittedly haven't seen the film, nor do I think it matters. To me, the casting of blame on a movie that is highly insulting to Muslims is convenient. The truth of the matter is that the forces behind American politics, and world politics for that matter, desire the chaos that is ensuing throughout the Middle East. The rise of a militant Islamic crescent will create an ongoing platform for the continued good fight of democracy against insurgent Al-Qaeda fighters – who hate us, or so we are told.

No it isn't. Gadahn publicaly joined an enemy army. He posted it himslef all over the internet. He is a legitimate military target unless he surrenders, the same as Tokyo Rose or Lord Hawhaw.

If he lives long enough to surrender, he can THEN have his trial.

202 Nice, insightful commentary on "Actionable Intelligence" at Diplomad's blog.

A tease:

On "Actionable Intelligence"

I will have to be very careful in this posting. It, unfortunately, will not include all that I know, would want to say or go into the sort of detail that is really needed. In other words, it won't be as complete, or a coherent as I would have liked to make it. Can't be helped for a variety of reasons, including legal ones.

... The blame, unfortunately, starts with the late Ambassador, and heads right up the chain to the Secretary via the Deputy Secretary and the Undersecretary for Management, the Security Bureau (DS), and the Assistant Secretary for the Near East Bureau (NEA).

As one navy officer with whom I served in the Pol-Mil Bureau at State told me, "We would never put a ship to sea in the condition of some of those embassies."

Clearly, our operation in Libya was one of those. Heads should roll, including that of the Secretary. Yes, Secretary Clinton should leave or be fired. ...

Stay turgid, Morons.

While I'm trying on the devil's advocate hat re: probation terms here, I have a problem with a government ordering someone not to use the internet.  I know probationers don't enjoy constitutional rights but given the large number of people swept up in federal prosecutions, the 98% plea bargain rate, etc... I'd prefer that there be some kind of balancing of interests here before we totally remove someone's right to communicate on the most ubiquitous wordwide means of communication.  Don't commit acts that facilitate recidivism, sure, but don't use the internet at all ?  Seems like overkill.  Ditto on restricting his use of different identities.

An important question I don't know the answer to - was he engaged in politically objectionable activities prior to his being charged and placed on probation (e.g. was there arguably a political motive to his terms of probation rather than one aimed merely at deterence of future fraudulent activity) ?

I pay attention to  Rosh Hashanah since many pastors think the Rapture might happen then (not date-setting, just pointing out God fulfilled prophecy on Jewish Holy Days i.e. Jesus crucified at Passover, risen on First Fruits, Holy  Spirit coming on Pentecost). And Jesus did say we would know the season.

246 Fox News has learned that the attack by armed militants on the main U.S. Marine base in southern Afghanistan was larger and more sophisticated than first reported. Since the March attack security at the base was not increased and responsibility for securing the compound was transitioned to joint control with Afghan security forces in spite of a recent spate of “insider attacks” carried out by Afghans who NATO forces had trained or who had permission to be on U.S. bases. 251 The entire situation of "Bombing an American" comes up entirely because we aren't clear over the line between civilian law and military law.

There's only a couple questions for the Guantanamo types and any American Citizen who is an applicant for the kill list.

Start with questions that -only- apply to Americans:

Have they renounced American Citizenship?
Have they sworn allegiance to a foreign power?
Have they enlisted in a foreign military?

The Guantanamo questions are quite simple as well:
Have -you- enlisted in any group that is at war with the US?
Are -you- at war with the US?
Have you provided material support for any group that is at war with the US?

That is: There's no -need- to prove "Yes, this asshole planned XYZ." They can't even restrain themselves from saying "Yes, I'm at war with the freaking Great Satan."

Instead, we have the legal system tying knots into -civilian- law to make it random-crap-on-battlefield illegal. Which ... is just -not- good. War sucks enough without being run by weasels.

Funny how Obama orders the military to kill daily for years now with impersonal drones, smashing scary brown people into hamburger dust, and not a single Democrat objects, and Muslims keep fucking goats and selling dates. Yet, an obscure amateur film, already out online for months is supposed to be the cause for rioting world wide, and the media repeats the charge with perfect credulity. How do we convince our fellow citizens we are right when they either will never hear or won't listen to our arguments. We become an increasingly angry, shrinking minority. Part of it is that the media, Congress, and the courts have abdicated responsibility during this administration, but another part of it is on the dumb decisions already made that confuse the line.

Absolutely.  I remember in 1977 when the national KKK got a permit to have a rally and march in Skokie, IL.   At the time, Skokie had one of the highest populations of Holocaust survivors in the world.  The survivors tried to get the permit revoked--saying that they had suffered enough that they did not need outsiders coming in and parading with signs denying the Holocaust, etc.  The ACLU defended the KKK.  But, they lost and even though I felt sorry for them and loathed the KKK, it was the correct decision.  I remember seeing the parade on the Chicago news showing the survivors holding up their tattooed arms with tears streaming down their faces as lines of Skokie and Illinois state police, Highway Patrol, and other cops from other jurisdictions lined the parade route standing shoulder to shoulder to keep the peace.  The KKK marched with their vile signs, hoods and robes.  Free speech is not always pretty or palatable, BUT, it always MATTERS that we all get to exercise it.  After all, who among us can decide what another person should be allowed to say?  The muslims do no not get to decide free speech in America.

325 #276 - Flatbush Joe, I must cite a case you may not know or care about: Deb Frisch.

She gained fame by vileness directed at Jeff Goldstein's young son. Five years later, she was convicted of stalking; she also attacked random strangers with children over the internet, and did a whole lot of other, very scary and weird stuff. Most of it over the internet, and on Blogspot.

Deb Frisch being forbidden the internet for the term of her probation is all we can ask; it would be wrong to bar her from the internet for life, though I am convinced that's the only safe thing to do.

360 Kristophr, I mostly agree with you.

But the Guantanamo guys should have -one- (mighty-quick) whack at release.

It isn't a question of "Did you fire at American soldiers?" or "Did you plant IED #37?" That route leads to the $100 million trials.

The only questions up for debate should be:
-Are- you a member of an organization that is at war with the US?
Are -you- at war with the US?
Have you provided material support to enemies of the US?

From what I hear, they mostly admit this sort of stuff as a badge of honor.

You just flat do -not- need the $100 million trials over details of this plot or that plot. We would hold Rommel's driver. Not because he planted an IED or shot a serviceman, but because he was Rommel's driver. Which isn't a -civilian- crime. But is -obviously- "providing material support" for an enemy. Ok, the uniform does help. But most of these fuckers can't stop bragging about their fervor in the -abstract- "Are you a member" sense as opposed to the concrete "Did you plant this bomb?" sense.

361 Law professor and media commentator Jonathan Turley believes the Obama administration handed a victory to religious extremists when it requested YouTube reconsider its decision to host a film trailer critical of Islam. Google, the parent company of YouTube, on Friday denied the administration’s request to censor the movie ‘Innocence of Muslims,’ which has sparked violent protests and riots across the Middle East. “This is the latest triumph of politics over principle by the Obama administration,” Turley told The Daily Caller in a phone interview. “The position of the White House is rather transparent. It does not want to be seen as limiting free speech. This request was couched as a review.”

365 306/346  Much like 9/11 "inside job" conspiracy theories, how does this action help the government - why would they do it ?  To gin up a MidEast conflict pre-election ?  If so, why the ham-fisted prepartion ?  Why not have the Benghazi safe-house stuffed full of Marines and cap the terrorists, looking like a rose rather than a dupe afterward ?  Engineering an event then deliberately screwing the pooch doesn't seem like a masterstroke of black ops.  Plus the timing is off.  The video was out for quite some time.  I'll stick with jihadists seizing on anything to justify a planned attack on 9/11 until I see something with more meat to it than that.

378 Next best-case scenario:

Israel engages in a little "kinetic military action" with Iran.

Mitt Romney immediately, and I mean immediately, calls a press conference, thanks Israel's for doing what the JEF and the other Vagina Monologues were too afraid to do, expresses the future Romney Administration's unwavering support for Israel, and then asks everyone in the room and all Americans to bow their heads for a moment of prayerful support of Israel's brave soldiers and pilots.

LSM suffers aneurysms and embolisms - they don't know how to react. - Mitt has check-mated them. Carney hastily calls a press conference and says uh, uh, uh uh, yeah, we uh uh uh support a uh, peaceful resolution of hostilities in the Mideast and will be asking for a a meeting of the UN Security Council next week.

A few months later, Christina Hendricks serves Valu-Rite body shots at  the AOSHQ Inauguration Bash.

395 230 If I were planning this I would scour the internet for films that I could say caused the riots. I would also select from those films one made by an American and if possible one by an American with a shady past.

We are supposed to believe that the sudden religious blaze in the Middle East that just took the life of a US ambassador and three of his staff members was the result of an obscure movie?!

This movie was so unknown that it could hardly generate views on YouTube.

Then a strange preacher, Terry Jones, began to promote the movie and brought it to the world's attention.

Bear in mind this movie did not sell a single ticket when it was screened. Now it is the most important film on the planet. The film was saved for posterity by firebrand pastor Terry Jones who has a history of incitement when it comes to Islamic issues.

This film insulting the prophet could have been released/promoted at any other time of the year... but it just so happens that it comes on 9/11.

As most Morons will know Â…on YouTube there are all kinds of monstrous hate films.. people who hate blacks.. people who hate whites.. people who hate Chinese people who hate meat eatersÂ… HindusÂ…MuslimsÂ…Christians... MormonsÂ…BuddhistsÂ…..upper class/working class, etc, etcÂ….as well as films of people eating their own excrementÂ…or raping children...or some kind or other morally outrageous behaviorÂ…Â…and the films get a relatively small viewing.

Yet some pastor managed to get all these leaders of various Muslim groups (some undoubtedly agent provocateurs/demagogues) to fire up their constituencies and go on the rampageÂ…Â…and at the same time the security at the US consulate in Libya is allowed to be lapse..and someone locked the ambassador in a panic room full of smoke?

Well as I see it.. the whole black op/psy op was a way to get more military assets/equipment to that region of the worldÂ… as well as get rid of a diplomat that had served his purpose. It allows the pentagon to sayÂ… all our embassies world-wide are now under potential threat so in order to protect our 'territory' we must now send our marines/delta force/navy seal/ warshipsÂ… drones, etc to all four corners of the globeÂ….

397 It looks like one government isn't buying the anti-Moslem film angle...

OTTAWA - Defence Minister Peter MacKay is casting doubt on whether an amateur online video mocking Islam's prophet Mohammed really sparked spontaneous, violent protests in Cairo and across the world this week.

"No, I think these are simmering issues that we have to continue to try and address," MacKay said in Toronto on Friday. "There are tensions in these regions--some of which have nothing to do with the Western world quite frankly--for centuries."

To me, it reads as too many moving parts to ever work. On the other hand, this administration is arrogant and drama-obsessed enough to maybe - just maybe - have been stupid enough to concoct so insanely elaborate a plot.

I'd hope not, but...I've gotten very, very worried about this administration. It does not seem as tightly anchored to reality as I would like.

It was a carefree time whilst driving off the Universal Building lot then down to happy hour at the venerable watering hole, hoisting gin and tonics while the talk was business and we smoked our cigs. Life was exciting and we never had to think much about the "system" for we were in America, and were pursuing the dream.

We were still innocent then.  Yes, it was 25 years post-watergate and we had post-emergent sarcasm on politics and life and the continued scar-tissue of a nation having fought in south east asia.... but we knew as a nation who we were with all of our warts and failings for we understood we were still a nation of general innocence --- we believed in general order and of the sacrosanct and inviolable nature of rights as expressed in our heritage, and which was impressed in our DNA, an American DNA.  We knew we were unique and we felt strong and pursued the dream.

Then came 911.

Then came NDAA.

Then came inside out, ouside in structural change where everything is justified and where science fiction has breached into reality with drones, cell phones and a nation under surveillance from the Kwik Market to MacDonalds, to the Dry Cleaners to Church parking lots.

It's a CCTV world now.

It's a virulent world of foreign extreme factions and domestic progressive factions.

The discourse is gone. Rationalism is now owned by liberalism and progressives who opine and decide memes and themes where the paradox of operation is this: more liberal begets less liberty. And where power is consolidated beyond reproach.

They say you can't say it because it is no longer acceptable.

But I will again say it.

Pray to our great benefactor: In God We Trust.

He gifted us with Liberty. And those in charge... they are supposed to be public servants.

Remember?

Intel from Israel on whats getting set to happen in the Middle East. My brother and his family live in Jerusalem - he is a minister - and a former Navy SEAL - his office is close to one of Israel 's largest underground military bases.

He called me last night which is very unusual - usually it is email. He called to tell me that he is sending his family back to the US immediately due to what he is seeing happen within the last week and what he is being told by his military contacts in both the Israel and US military. He said he is seeing with his own eyes military movements the likes of which he has never seen in his 20+ years in Israel. What he called a massive redeployment and protective tactics of forces is underway.

Over the last two days he has seen anti-aircraft missile deployments throughout the Jerusalem area including 3 mobile units that he can see from his office windows. In addition, he has seen very large Israeli armored columns moving fast toward the Sinai where Egypt has now moved in armor.

There are reports of the top military leaders meeting with Israel's Sr. Rabi which is something that has happened preceding every prior military campaign. His admonition is to watch carefully and pray for Israel and its people. He is convinced that barring something extraordinary Israel will attack Iran - with or without the US - and very soon.

It is the belief in Israel that Obama does not stand with Israel but with the Arab countries. He has told me before that Israel will saber-rattle from time to time but that this time is very different from what he is seeing and hearing. He was at the Wailing Wall 2 days ago and there were hundreds of IDF soldiers there.

As he was leaving he passed at least 20 military buses full of soldiers in route to the wall. He has never seen this before either. Just thought I would pass this along. My brother is not an alarmist by any means. When he talks like this it gets my attention for sure and usually I find he knows more than he shares.

There are reports that Israel is asking Obama to come to Israel immediately but they are being answered with silence. My opinion is that I see the making of the perfect storm....

Seems fitting. As posted by Mama AJ

472 There's far better, -far- -far- better things to do with the newfound power of the Cult of Ace than get Star Wars One banned.

Christina Hendricks is still wearing -clothing- for the love of Ace!!! In most everything but that one wornout section of on my Firefly DVD.

That's straightup blasphemy. So if we're going to agitate for stuff, I'd like this bumped to the head of the list. I have no objection to folks demanding the same of others. Paul Ryan maybe? I know not, whoever.

And this freaking tax on the Val-u-rite. Hey, I think under the Cult of Ace this tax has to go. Wait, "Bear arms" - Moltov Cocktails are -arms-, freaking Constitutional violations!

So -there- are a couple of things to agitate for.

I really don't know if enough people are paying attention to things like this.  I'm not sure they even care..  Eric Holder's hate crime policies are a direct assault on the equal protection under the law requirements under the 14th Amendment, but a great many people either don't know or care about that either.  It's as if the Constitution has become something quaint.

If SCOAMF gets in again I think that serves as final confirmation of the death of the American ideal.   Same name, same flag, but the country will essentially be confirmed as gone forever.

Invading 1 single citizens right to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness is an abomination. Our soil is scared against this kind of lawlessness.
This is the kind of incident that creates a tremor in the fabric of time and space. It will not be forgotten by law-abiding citizens. Each and every voting day, from this day forward, is a vote for or against tyranny. This administration fucked around for to long and now reaps what they sow.

I understand that reasonable people can disagree on abortion. (It doesn't make it acceptable, but it's just then nature of the issue, imho.) But to assert that a new human life is equivalent to a clump of diseased cells turns my stomach. And it's just plain inaccurate, scientifically speaking.

543 There is no fate too terrible for Barack Obama. Take a walk through Arlington Cemetery and contemplate the sacrifice of our men and women in uniform in the cause of Liberty. And there you'll only encounter those from the Civil War forward. This rotten motherfucking sonofabitch has done more harm to this nation in his three and one half years in office than any enemy we have ever faced, from George III, through Osama bin Laden. It isn't even fucking close. Adolph Hitler was a piker compared to this asshole. No fate. No fate.... 545 fas·cism  [fash-iz-uhm] noun 1. ( sometimes initial capital letter ) a governmental system led by a dictator having complete power, forcibly suppressing opposition and criticism, regimenting all industry, commerce, etc., and emphasizing an aggressive nationalism and often racism. 2. ( sometimes initial capital letter ) the philosophy, principles, or methods of fascism. 3. ( initial capital letter ) a fascist movement, especially the one established by Mussolini in Italy 1922–43.

so·cial·ism  [soh-shuh-liz-uhm] Show IPA noun 1. a theory or system of social organization  that advocates the vesting of the ownership and control of the means of production and distribution, of capital, land, etc., in the community as a whole. 2. procedure or practice in accordance with this theory. 3. (in Marxist theory) the stage following capitalism in the transition of a society to communism, characterized by the imperfect implementation of collectivist principles.

I really, and I mean REALLY detest when people attempt to use the phrase fascist like a weapon. Pick up a dictionary sometime, and then get back to me about what ideology BO practices. And if you can find purity in any of what he does, clue me in on that one too. Thanks.

To me,  the CIA and Mossad were behind the chaos in the ME. And now their official mouthpiece is laying the groundwork for martial law.

Perhaps we could get lucky. Perhaps the psy-ops, the troop and naval movements, the coordinated attacks on embassies, the coordinated Bibi snubbing, the internet fear/hate campaign, and all the rest are just a contingency plan being made ready.

Perhaps, if the  announcement by the Fed that QE will go on forever DOESN'T topple the worldwide financial house of cards, then they won't pull the trigger.

But if the markets take a nose-dive or people begin to flee from bonds, I am convinced a hot war will be started, for all the usual reasons. Those reasons being: "WWII got us out of the depression."

"Obama is not weak, see?"

"Stop whining about your money or we'll give you something to really whine about."

The fear/hatred campaign has been amped up to the maximum on the internet. This is intelligence agencies making their best attempt at leveraging social media and the herd of useful idiots. If they can incite riots in the Middle East with such ease, just imagine what they can do in the U.S.

Every button in the psy-ops arsenal is being pushed. I worry that we are about to face the test of a lifetime.

Mass can absorb dangerous particles, its less good at absorbing magnetic/electric/RF fields.  ex. cell phones work in concrete parking garages.

4-5' of ordinary dirt would absorb most of the lethal heavy particle radiation.

Seriously, you think that this is about QE3?

QE3, despite my detestation of it, is merely the en-pointe desperation dance on the cliff; it means nothing. It will fail. The market plays along because - well, they are peering through reverent fingers, and hoping that the gods of the marketplace and their smooth-tongued wizards will not withdraw for a while.

In all honesty and truth, QE3 is irrelevant.

636 Holding human life cheap is most certainly "bad".

The Japanese women have a much higher regard for the aborted child than American women who have abortions, and just move on.  How many American abortion customers construct memorials for their aborted fetuses and mourn for them?  Not too many I'd guess.

The Shinto religion has great regard for the dead.

The social ostracism of out of wedlock pregnancy and loss of face for the woman's parents/family is what drives abortion in Japan.  In America, there is no more shame in an out of wedlock pregnancy.  In that regard, the Japanese society hasn't degraded as much as we have.

If the installation used metallic conduit and/or armored cable, metal boxes, and metal cased electronic gear, its all effectively Faraday caged.

You'll only get induced current on non-shielded conductors, like unpiped Cat 3/5/6, Romex cable, and such.

If a facility and associated gear were TEMPEST certified, I think it could probably resist an EMP.

Correct, someone has to do the reporting, do the digging, get the information. They have a monopoly on that because they've found a way to get paid to do so, and they can thus afford to devote a day's work to it, where most cannot. 700 Who gives a shit what the leftists were or are saying about anything?
Because like I said it demonstrates the gulf between us in America and its getting wider every day.
And it never hurts to step back and examine what we're doing and why, something the left is unable to even consider doing. Are we doing right? Is it really this bad? Should we really be this upset? I believe so - but its better we step back and be sure, than rage on without consideration.

703 676  Almost exactly the same rhetoric as we see every day on right leaning blogs.

The difference this time is people are acting on it.  When the left threatened to leave the country, citizen renunciation rates remained steady.

Since Obama took office, they've tripled.

That tells me nobody on the left really felt threatened by Bush, they just wanted to whine and stomp their feet.

The whole thing doesn't make sense, and I don't trust the Feds (especially under Obama), to tell the truth. Libs are going to say he was a Christian trying to usher in the End Times, but does anyone truly believe people believe they can do that?

You could open up a private school for journalism and how to start a tv/cable station. Teach the fundamentals of investigation and reporting without the personal bias. 708 Because like I said it demonstrates the gulf between us in America and its getting wider every day. No, it doesn't. That was the point I was making to you. Leftists cannot be judged by their words since they are despicable, lying scumbags. They can only be judged by their actions. Leftists only say whatever it is they think will be the most effective propaganda of the moment while they continue their actions to destroy every last vestige of America and Amricanism that exists. Conservatives, on the other hand, actually hold trust and honesty as virtues. We stand by our words. When we say things, we mean them - even in the occasional hyperbole we use. We don't speak for propagandistic purposes. We speak to make the points we are talking about and to elucidate what we think and want. Leftists speak to distract from what they feel and what they want to do. And it never hurts to step back and examine what we're doing and why, something the left is unable to even consider doing. Are we doing right? Is it really this bad? Should we really be this upset? I believe so - but its better we step back and be sure, than rage on without consideration. Posted by: Christopher Taylor at September 15, 2012 10:01 PM (r4wIV) This has nothing to do with raising the left's propaganda to the level of serious and honest discussion. Again, in your question "Is it really this bad?" you are connecting with your earlier claim that "That's what leftists were saying around 2004, too." which is a flawed argument - heck, it's just a flawed method of analysis. When we ask ourselves to review our opinions of things that is an internal question that has NOTHING to do with any of the Left's propaganda. Our judgements are totally divorced from the left's lunacy and your attempt to connect the two is, to be overly charitable, as incorrect as one can be. Do you understand my point?

709 Posted by: Christopher Taylor at September 15, 2012 10:01 PM (r4wIV) there is "the left" and then there are liberals and then regular democrats and then regular people. I don't get angry at a lot of these groups because they are basing their various conclusions on what they see in the media. They don't do research, they have no reason to believe that the media wouldn't be giving them all the information they need to make an informed decision. They are trying desperately to hold onto their jobs. The very jobs where, in the last three years they've taken pay cuts when they thought they'd get bonuses and raises. They are afraid to say anything but "yes sir/mam at work. They are even afraid to take days off for fear that an opportunist will step into their position. In families, both are working and the kids are being shuffled around. If they can put food on the table and gas in the car and keep everyone clothed and going to school and maybe being able to keep that extracurricular activity, then they are considering themselves a success nowadays. They lay their head on the pillow at night, exhausted and drained only to repeat this day in and day out. Sure their parents and grand parents struggled but they knew there would be a struggle, they were raised watching it. This young family, two career, age group wasn't expecting quite the struggle that they are being given. Their parents and grand parents were prepared for it, they weren't. They don't have much saved and they spend every penny so they are literally the working poor only according to their tax return their 200 - 250 grand salary makes them rich. They don't feel rich, they don't live rich, they don't act rich, cause they are the working poor of today's modern city. So, the struggle provides them with little time to be informed. They are educated, they would never want you to know that they get their news in snippets from the MSM but it's their reality. If you look at the "low information voter" from their reality you can see they are drawing the conclusions they are drawing based on what they are told in the media. And they don't think they are getting it wrong. They need to be educated by romney/ryan so they can appreciate what they aren't being told. And it's tough to educate them cause they don't know what they don't know and it has to be gentle and the information has to be given without them realizing they are getting it. If the media is against you, no matter how good your game, you can't win.

712 >>> Interesting, This has been a nagging thought in my head for the past couple of weeks. How do the people rid itself of this propaganda engine, MSM, in a free society, lawfully? Easier on a micro level than macro. Micro-wise, aa lot of people think "letters to the editor" are effective but they really aren't. In fact editors love little soap operas if it keeps selling papers. What's more effective locally? Well, boycotts are easy. Or you can directly tell particular businesses you will go to a competitor who doesn't advertise in the same media vehicle. But what scares local media the most is when the advertisers themselves are at odds (politically, ethically, etc.) with that particular medium. As with everything else, it's those with the big spending power who hold sway.
