Plus: Polls
Plus: Invisible Obama -- the Song
— Ace Instapundit links a story that Hillary is staying as far as physically possible from Charlotte.
But then a reader speculates that that is just a smokescreen, and that the big surprise of the convention will be a Hillary-for-Biden VP swap.
Meanwhile, Reuters has Romney's favorables improving, but without any bounce in the head-to-head.
But in James Carville's Democracy Corps poll, Romney has a huge 54-38 lead with independents (16 points!).
Oddly enough, that poll puts Obama ahead by two skinny points, 49-47.
He is obviously counting on a near-2008 level of Democratic turnout. I don't buy that. And no one seems to be thinking of a big right-leaning turnout.
Finally, this is just special. From Misfit Politics, the guys who brought you Attaaaack Waaaatch.

That Obama lead doesn't seem right given Romney's lead with Ind. Anyone know the D/R/I breakdown of this poll?

My money is still on announcing an end to efforts by Federal law enforcement to go after pot. The message to the youth/college/stoner set will be unmistakable: If I'm reelected and this policy continues for four years it will never be undone, pot will be forever legal; but if you sit on your ass and eat Cheetos Romney will undo this before it really gets started so get fired up and drag my ass over the finish line.
What other major faction has yet to receive a major lawless inititive? Kinda obvious he is holding a big one back to get some buzz at the convention. So it is either that or a lame student debt forgiveness for 'public service' scheme.

We need to keep the slow sell going.
Remarks in the grocery store about food prices and inflation.
Remarks at the gas pump.
Ask those Democratic friends if their kid/sister/uncle found a new job yet. Slip in a Hopefully if Romney is elected, we will get the Keystone Pipeline, new power plant or something similar in their area.
If they are republican, suggest that they work for a campaign, point out the networking possibilities.
Get them thinking that Romney will be better for them and the country.

But the point is you cannot even offer mild disagreement with the liberal hive mind collective.
Clint = BAD is the standard.
There are some tweets that are disgraceful and for what? Because she had the audacity to support Mitt.
Now she may be a closet conservative or conservative leaning but she's not out and proud about it.
She was on a show with George Stephanolopus and Donna Brazile and a few other people and somehow the subject of Obamacare came up and she said she didn't support and the looks she got. George then started to basically argue with her and challenge her.
These people are insane and they have turned the nation into one big political death match and we are fucking losing.

Obama utterly believes in himself. He is not going to quit. I certainly hope he keeps Slo - Joe, but Hillary! has problems of her own. The biggest benefit of adding Hillary! to the ticket is that a lot of pro-Clinton Democrat bigwigs will contribute money to the Obama - Clinton campaign, which they might not do for the Obama - Biden ticket.
The Democratic Convention next week will be weird, but the Major Bullshit Media will portray them as "important", "inclusive" and a bunch of other Stewart Smalley - like platitudes.
There will probably be a "bounce" as self - identified Democrats endorse the re-election of President Obama, but the bounce will evaporate by the end of September.
And that's all I got from the 8-ball tonight.

Her best bet is to do exactly what that article the other day said she will do: leave the administration, rest up, get healthier (i.e., lose the saddle bags and dark circles under her eyes, and hope the Romney administration doesn't have time to correct Obama's mistakes before the next election.

So far my associates and I have been photographed in front yards, on a golf green, and in a pickup bed. There has even been talk of a shot in front of the White House. I know I speak for chairs everywhere when I say we await your placement and flash units, and we are ready to put our best leg forward.
We can't do it without you. We can't move ourselves. Put us anywhere and everwhere. We don't require signs or hints, people will figure out our meaning quickly.
Thank you for your support. I am everychair. Together will can make history, and millions of chairs stand ready to do their part, no matter the weather, the location, the abuse.
We won't sit for anything less than victory!

No stupid doesn't cover it.
You are dumbest fuck in the entire history of dumbfucks. The ghosts of history's dumbfucks; the gate guards of Troy, the commanders of Xerxes, the assailants of Masada, and George Custer, laugh from the grave. They laugh with delight, heralding the arrival of the one who finally erases their legacy of incompetence and stupidity from the history books.
I can only applaud. You are a Legend.

The economy was going to tank no matter who got elected.
Think she would've been able to herd all those Democrat cats that were slavering over being able to do stuff for the first time in 8 years?
She wouldn't have been able to hold them back. Even if she wanted to.
Remember HillaryCare came before RomneyCare.
Hillary is just a little smarter and a little better connected (and fewer psych problems) than the ONE so maybe, maybe things would've gone a bit better but I have my doubts.
We still would've had all the stuff overseas, what useless POS would she have put in as SecState?
oh and she probably wouldn't have bowed to everybody but that's about it.

Hillary already said no fucking way.
Her Reasons:
A) She doesnt want to be stuck defending his shitty record of 8 years of incompetance if he wins
and
B) She doesnt want to be tainted with his stink if he loses
That had to hurt when Obuttfuckitupama heard that. His monumental pride wont let him accept her now.
Anyway, the only way he gets that desperate is if he is 10 points down. And the stupid media is too stupid to let the polls ever dip that far for him.

Nate Silver massages his model to get the results he wants. Every poll that has Romney ahead gets weighted less than a poll that has Obama ahead. He even weighs one pollster more or less in different states based on who is leading. In one state Ras has Romney ahead, he weighs Ras less than PPP who has Obama ahead. In another state that PPP has Romney ahead, he weighs it less than a Ras poll that has Obama ahead.
He is a Democrat hack.

Unlikely, but I do want to see pictures, even pictures of her dancing in garish costumes, on location in Asia, with other American officials, for the next week. And if by chance she hops in an SR71 and crashes the convention to become the Veep, she will be so worn-out and haggard that whatever shock value Obama gets will not be what was intended. Then again, the way things have been blowing back on him, VP Hillary may be exactly what Barry is plotting. Then again, again, the whole thing really falls apart when Mooch and ValJar are factored in.
