Wolf Blitzer Attacks Trump For Birther Claims
— Ace

Hopefully Twitchy will compile up my own tweets on this -- I'll start being worried about Donald Trump's conspiracy theories the moment they begin taking an interest in Rachel Maddow's.

So here's Wolf Blitzer on this important issue.

Meanwhile, despite the fact that one of their own contributors got SWATted -- fitting into a pre-existing pattern of conservatives being harassed -- CNN has as far as I know refused to run so much as a blurb about it.

But let's all band together to protect the Most Powerful Man on the Face of the Earth.

No one else counts. Not even CNN's own contributors matter to CNN.

4 Well, to be fair, his importance is greater than anyone in the universe, including Jesus and God, seeing as how there are Obamlics who are still going to vote for SCOAMF, because yay, they care not for he is awesome...even if he's at war with their church and their pocketbooks, and their schools, and the country in general.

Remember that CNN's default method of protecting their employees is to cave to the despot making the threats. (I'm thinking of some of the cover-ups they perpetuated for Saddam.)

I thought this was over now that it's clear Obama himself was the original birther for decades. But I guess because the MSM refused to cover that bit it never happened.

12 it is a stupid issue because no one in the country has any nutsack/bravery/decency/whatever to do anything about it, even if SCOMAF does admit he lived in a Chinese Communist Party training facility until early 2000, so what's the point. I can see it now, "as I um made clear, I am truly and deeply a Sino-plant dedicated to implementing the worst possible policies to destroy america through unchecked immigration, endless deficit spending, destroying American allies, and propping up her enemies. Let me be clear, that this is true and um this is um not a lie." idiot obama voters "we care not, we love you, are we cupping your balls softly enough, I promise we'll have our teeth removed this month so as to make our fellatiating more comfortable."

15 I was never a birther, but the "born in Kenya" mention in Barky's bio sort of made me go, "Whaaaa......?"

My husband kept ignoring all the birther stuff, but now with Obama bragging about eating dogs, bullying a girl in high school, and the Choom Gang idiocy, he's convinced that once Barky's out of office, we'll discover he was a complete fraud and perhaps really wasn't born in Hawaii.

We'll see. Hopefully beginning right after November.

The birther thing isn't going to hurt Romney and Romney knows that.

It's the hysterical types in the Republican media who think Trump is going to cost us the election but that is absurd. If J. Wright and Bill Ayers didn't cost Obama, why would Trump cost Romney, Trump seems much more reasonable than J. WRight and Bill Ayers and liberals say we can't even talk abou those 2 guys.

31 The fear regarding whether smear campaigns will somehow "hurt" Romney and help Barry are based on something like reality - if you can call events in Philadelphia reality. I like to hope what happens here is NOT representative of the rest of America (save Detroit). Anyway we had a TERRIBLE mayor, very incompetent and corrupt, named John Street. He was not even the least bit personable. Anyway AS IF we were ever going to elect an R mayor? I mean that wasn't going to happen. But the FBI (I think) was investigating him for corruption (which he was guilty of) and somehow this investigation go turned around by the media to be a Republican smear campaign against him? Of course he was reelected! And this was all Bush's fault too. Not sure how! but of course. everything is.

Posted by: BackwardsBoy at May 29, 2012 02:31 PM (d0Tfm)

44 The rationale behind the media drawing a direct line from Romney to Trump is that Romney has met with Trump, accepted his endorsement, and won't distance himself from the famous billionaire. But as is always the case, the media's double standard is a glaring one. After all, Al Sharpton is a proud and open Obama supporter, Obama has met with Sharpton, and Obama hasn't distanced himself from the MSNBC' racial demagogue -- who just this weekend made headlines with this: Republicans Want To 'Wipe Out Innocent People' Like 'Hitler's Germany'. And this is the least of the hateful, racially divisive things Sharpton says on a disturbingly regular basis. And yet, as recently as Easter, Obama invited Al Sharpton to the White House. In April, Obama's Attorney General, Eric Holder, publicly praised Sharpton. Never once, though, has the media ever coordinated and dedicated -- as it did today -- a full day's narrative push to damage Obama with what his ally Sharpton has done or said.

Romeo,

That's not what happened in either RSM's case or Big Red's case. I think there are some dubious aspects of their stories, but if it's true they should have no problem proving it and getting independent verification. So far both of their stories have not been verififed by anybody not named RSM or Big Red. Big Red in particular has a recent history of trying to insert himself into the story and I actually had a lot of doubts about RSM's claim b/c of that thing with Big Read and then lo and behold Big Red comes out with a claim he too was also Swatted. I thought that was pretty hilarious.

Also, it is Obama's fault this issue isn't settled and the fraudulent document provided just raised more questions. Good for Trump's "in yo face" attitude and Romney should let Trump do the "silly stuff" that isn't really silly.

The MFM. What can you say? The attack on the Catholic Church continues. I've heard no MFM story on the religious liberty lawsuits. However, this morning's Today Show had a story "the butler did it." The Pope's Butler allegedly giving away papal "secrets." Story speculated that the "leaks" were from "dissidents" who were wanting to change course in the evil Church. IOW, the entrenched Commies are fighting against JP2 earlier and B's current efforts to get them out of the Church. See Latin America and Liberation Theory. BTW, even though the secrets have been leaked, NBC chose not to share the "secrets" with us. Boy, must be pretty bad then, right? Guess I just have to trust their narrative.

88 LA Times 50 minutes ago:
Ties between Donald Trump, Mitt Romney good for Obama

http://tinyurl.com/6qxmhfx

ObamaÂ’s campaign was happy to add fuel to the mini-media firestorm over the former Massachusetts governorÂ’s decision to raise money with the real estate and reality TV tycoon, who is currently the nationÂ’s most vocal believer in the debunked conspiracy theories that claim President Obama was born in Kenya, not Hawaii.

In a statement released Tuesday afternoon, Obama’s deputy campaign manager, Stephanie Cutter, criticized Romney for “his complete lack of moral leadership.” Earlier in the day, the campaign put out a video contrasting Romney with Sen. John McCain, saying that the 2008 GOP nominee "stood up to the voices of extremism in his party” while Romney, the presumptive 2012 nominee, has not.

“Now he’s even standing by silently as Trump assails John McCain’s courage in standing up to the most extreme and hateful voices in the Republican Party — all in order to raise money for himself,” Cutter said in a statement. “If Mitt Romney lacks the backbone to stand up to a charlatan like Donald Trump because he's so concerned about lining his campaign's pockets, what does that say about the kind of president he would be?”

Trump is something of a trifecta for the Obama campaign – he’s a symbol of the right-wing fringe, a symbol of extreme wealth and somewhat lacking in the presidential gravitas department. If the Obama campaign folks can make a hint of those elements rub off on Romney, they’re happy.

Romney was burned back in April when conservative rocker (and campaign supporter) Ted Nugent called Obama 'evil,' and said if the incumbent were to win re-election, 'I will be either be dead or in jail by this time next year..."

"It raises a question, that's come up before during this campaign, as to whether Gov. Romney will embrace these extreme voices in his party, or stand up to them,' Obama campaign spokesman Ben LaBolt said Friday..."

It looks exactly like the document released by Obama. Obama's only looks peculiar when you examine it more closely. Then you see mixed graphics formats and bit depths all mixed together. All sorts of oddities pop out.

I personally think the document was created by the Department of Health in Hawaii, but not in 1961. I think the document is a recent replacement birth certificate issued to someone who has been adopted, or had an adoption annulled.

So, you must take the word of Hawaiian Officials, that everything on that Document is Correct (note, I say correct, because in the case of adoptions and name changes, Birth Certs ARE amended, and we have some evidence that Barry Soetoro was adopted... or had a name change, or somthing...).

But for me, her true beauty came from the inside. She lived an authentic life, in service to others. Her passion was and is justice. She has for more than half a century dedicated her life to helping the men and women who harvest America's fields. She has advocated for non-violent protest and has taught people that they have both the personal power and the responsibility to work together to improve their lives. Back then, I never dreamed that I would ever meet her, let alone have the honor of calling her my friend. ..

"Today, President Obama will honor her with the Presidential Medal of Freedom for a lifetime dedicated to workers' rights and social justice. She joins the ranks of other luminaries throughout history, including Cesar Chavez, Martin Luther King Jr. and Mother Teresa, who have received this much-deserved honor.

"At 82 years young, Dolores still continues to empower people through the Dolores Huerta Foundation, which organizes low-income immigrant communities in the Central San Joaquin Valley for better access to education, health care, fair lending and a cleaner environment. Her passion for justice has expanded to include women's equality, reproductive rights and LGBT issues. Her dancing eyes and sweet voice continue to inspire people across the country and around the world, just like they did for a young girl from La Puente who grew up to be the first Latina in a president's Cabinet. Today, she is my mentor, adviser and wonderful friend. And she is still beautiful."

dearly beloved morons,

please stop taking personal disagreements as political treason. The inside politics and conflicts in conservative circles seem to be spilling over into all these denunciations of each other. Claiming one's opponent to be in league with teh darkside doesn't make sense unless that person has in fact revealed themselves as such.

166 Can someone kindly explain to someone who is not in the Pro Wrestling Fan wing of the conservative movement (NTTAWWT) why Romney- who has run a very disciplined and effective campaign thus far- is going out of his way to associate with Trump?

Is it simply to build a connection with the reality TV viewer demographic? I honestly don't get it.

Maybe I'm biased because I see the likes of Trump and the rest of the Birther crowd as a liability, but it just doesn't seem like a good fit even without the Birther nonsense that Trump has flirted with.

He sees nothing wrong with all the hedging and with holding of documents, and anyone who thinks Barack Obama should present his bonifieds is obviously a "conspiracy nut", and therefore deserving of ridicule.

I have no doubt that those two newspaper announcements occurred in Hawaii during August of 1961. I think such notices are printed automatically whenever Hawaiian DOH is notified of a birth by a resident.

206 The MFM program directors love The Donald because he draws viewers, but their leftwing news directors are afraid of his Romney connection for the same reason. Trump is known by the hoi poloi not because of his birtherism as much as for his brashness, his business success, his wives, his face as he says "you're fired." Imagine the impact of a Romney ad campaign that has Trump saying something like, "Mr President, you know, well, uh, we like you, but, uh, it just, it just hasn't worked out. YOU'RE FIRED!" The MFM imagines it, thus the campaign to discredit.

Why postulate a complicated theory when a simple one will suffice. Newspaper announcements are produced by a list sent from the Registrar's office whenever they are notified of a birth. The State of Hawaii became aware of the existence of Barrack Obama in August of 1961. That doesn't mean they have proof he was actually born there. Hawaiian law allows for the creation of birth certificates for the children of Hawaiian residents, regardless where such children are born.

229 Here's the test of teh Mormonator: can he tie the naked face eater to President Bow Wow/Yum Yum? 'Cuz he IS tied. I could explain the elaborate knot, if you don't have the merit badge, but then I'd have to kill you. (I am NOT claiming I would enjoy that, since you read it here.)

Thunder,

Everybody else is telling me an idiot so I misspell the word on purpose like Kimberline to tweak them.

231 It's obvious that Obama was an Affirmative Action admit everywhere (Occidental, Columbia, Harvard Law) he went.

Posted by: Jimbo at May 29, 2012 07:49 PM (O3R/2)

He's an Affirmative Action PRESIDENT. If he was a white guy, he never would have survived the primary, but nowadays you can't say that without everyone saying you're a "RACIST." I point out that the "Racists" are the ones who judge a man by the color of his skin, and not by his character. (Which in Obama's case we know is terrible.)

Had Obama been judged fairly on his accomplishments, and not had the Thumb of affirmative action pressing down firmly on the scale, thanks to the media, he never would have managed to become President. (And i'm still not sure he *IS* a legal President.)

Charlie,

Search engine hits? What, you think Coward Robert Ford is going to have a blog up on the internet in a few days.

I'm just an engineer in b/t jobs with some time to kill and this story caught my attention and possiblly my imagination and the rest is history.

Posted by: Coward Robert Ford at May 29, 2012 03:55 PM (4BzOb)

234 Actually....I thought that Hollowpoint's comment was sort of funny. Of course he is arguing with a retard, so some of that might splash on him by mistake.

Posted by: CharlieBrown'sDildo (NJConservative) at May 29, 2012 07:49 PM (nEUpB)

How can you tell he's arguing with a retard? Everything he says seems retarded.

235 Hey Ace-Tards: They're your birthers! Yeah - you own them. And no one is ever going to let you forget it. They're your death panels, they're your swift-boaters, they're your BP apologists outraged over paying out to businesses destroyed by drill-baby-drill. Why don't you just put up better candidates? Why don't you just cut out the crazy and contribute something real to America besides lies, Alaskan Governors and bullying gay people? Why don't you come up with something of substance? Don't blame us libs because America's stupidest and greediest choose you over us. Why don't you back-track a little and at least return to the party of Reagan as a good start? Maybe there's a party of Lincoln in your future.... who knows. Stop being so sucky and pandering to the worst of human nature? Just say'n..

241 It's funny some liberal is talking about how they are going to make us own the death panel metaphor when it looks likely ObamaCare is going to be struck down by the Supreme Court. Talk about being out of touch.

Posted by: Coward Robert Ford at May 29, 2012 04:00 PM (4BzOb)

242 I like to think we are going to make Obama own ObamaCare although that gets kind of complicated with Romney as our guy. Teh he.

It happens to have the ring of truth about it. Just look at a few years worth of news stories regarding the British NHS, and the prospect of a "Death Panel" requires no imagination.

John Kerry was scum. All I needed to know about him I learned in the 1970s by watching him backstab the people who fought the war in Vietnam.

Posted by: DiogenesLamp at May 29, 2012 04:09 PM (IEUSX)

252

Jimmy Joe,

The Swift Boat Vets were vets too, and they included Kerry's entire chain of command and jsut about everybody that knew him except one guy that he could have bought off. They forced him to retract his claim he was in Cambodia during the war as well as the reason he gave that got him his first Purple Heart.

If you are going to play the vet card, that blows up in your face b/c all Kerry's critics were vets. Why should we side with Kerry over all of them?

Posted by: Coward Robert Ford at May 29, 2012 04:21 PM (4BzOb)

266 258 - Because they were funded by special interest money and basically full of shit. There's a very good reason "swift-boating" means what it currently means. Maybe the values wing of your party can teach you something about bearing false-witness. It's a sin, you know. Birtherism, Swift boat, White water, Acorn prostitutes, Voter fraud - all false witness. When is your boy, James O'keefe going to drum up something that actually sticks? When?

267 Wasn't Free Republic banning people who supported Romney? Who is over there now b/c we don't really have a choice now.

Posted by: Coward Robert Ford at May 29, 2012 08:21 PM (4BzOb)

I don't know if they were banning people who were supporting Romney, but Romney supporters were certainly getting attacked by the majority over there. I think people may have been going out of their way to find rule violations with which to get them zotted by the management.

I pretty much stayed out of those discussions. I was a Herman Cain supporter, then a Rick Perry supporter, and after that I didn't have a dog in the fight anymore. I didn't care for Romney (still don't.) and I didn't care for Gingrich. (still don't.) I was slightly cheering for Rick Santorum, but I had grave concerns that he would alienate the mushy middle too much.

270 (a) President Obama needs to have Mitt Romney protect him from Donald Trump? And this means President Obama should be re-elected - why?

(b) Donald Trump has demanded attention since the time Jane Fonda was a hottie - and the President is giving him attention for what reason again?

(Sample answers for the Romney Campaign)

273 I thought Santorum was ok but most Republican pundits couldn't get past his sodomy comments which I thought was kind of curious. He'd have more appeal to blue collar types but the "hoity toity" people probably would prefer Obama over some "too Christian" guy. Seems like a silly reason to prefer Obama but it is what it is.

Posted by: Coward Robert Ford at May 29, 2012 05:13 PM (4BzOb)

274

Jimmy,

Seems like James O'Keefe did kind of expose Eric Holder and voter fraud in Eric Holder's own district. It's kind of hard to deny that.

Liberals have tried to demonize the swift boaters but they never actually refute their claims.

Posted by: Coward Robert Ford at May 29, 2012 05:15 PM (4BzOb)

275

At this point, this reminds me of the "War on Women", followed by the "War on Dogs", in how they both totally backfired.

But let's cut him some slack. Guys like Wolf only listen to each other, so he may not even know the recent development that Obama, himself, was the original Birther.

Yeah, it's the latest episode of "You just can't make this stuff up."
