— CAC Virginia looks blue, New Jersey looks red as we start off polling for the 2013 races.
If you are looking for a glimmer of happiness, Arkansas looks like a solid Republican pickup and Pennsylvania a weak Republican hold in the 2014 gubernatorial contests, per two polls from Public Policy Polling.
So uh, yeah. Get your act together in the Old Dominion state.

PPP was better in November 2012 and 2010 in terms of accuracy.

PPP was weird last year in that while they were very accurate in Nov, they had sucked up to that point. They were off by 4 points in the WI recall, and 5 points in the AZ special House election, in the Dems favor both times. They were usually an outlier in the GOP primaries too.

Given the compromises he had to make, I don't even know what that term means. Boehner and McConnell may not be especially good at what they do, but I don't think they're trying to torpedo the country.
IMO, your statement is an example of Ace's earlier post, wherein everyone is either entirely evil or entirely good, depending on whether you like them or not. It's too simple to just dismiss them. They're fighting real political headwinds, and unlike so many of the keyboard kommando set, they have to function in the real world. I don't think John Boehner is a political mastermind, but he's trying, and judging from the rhetoric I've heard from him and McConnell, they learned something about the futility of trying to negotiate with Obama while assuming he's interested in the good of the country.

My conclusion is that if the dems can win the pResidency by 11:30 EST with Obama as the econd term candidate, either the nation's citizens are mostly insane or the dems have mastered the art of voter fraud to such a degree of perfection that running against them is futile is all but a very few districts.
Add the Ruling Class Mandarin Republican caste (aka RINO), and a fawning, corrupt media to the mix and you're on the downward slope to banana republic.
The American Constitutional experiment was a fluke anyhow. Every governing body has always sought to increase its own power and prestige. The fact that the founders realized this, and attempted to constrain the inherent corruption of power via a written understandable contract. It is sad to see the end of a free people now signing up for a mess of government pottage and accepting the virtual slavery being imposed on them by their "betters".

A fatal misconception. Modern Virginia is the New Dominion state.
Fatally hooked on the federal pork emanating from the Imperial Capital.
If there were to be heavy federal cutbacks, it would gut the northern Virginia economy, glutted as it is with government contractors.
They're going blue from here on out. Sucks, but it is what it is. Pork is the most additive drug known to humanity. Makes heroin and meth look like bubble gum.

I will say though the dynamics of VA long term look bad as it's absorbing the worst elements of DC and Maryland.
