I don't think anyone realizes how awful the new RB head-lowering rule is going to be.

The QB protection rules of last year were already killing the game.

Now, the NFL is going the way of the NBA with the refs having way too much input through subjective rules.

Just wait for all the new rules that will be implemented as these concussion lawsuits really get rolling.

It had a liner of thin copper, so probably not. According to the all-knowing Wikipedia, the problem was that it didn't dissipate heat properly, so it would overheat after only a few shots, leading to warpage (and presumeably the possibility of a round cooking off while being loaded). The Swedes decided that the tactical conception was sound, but a whole-metal tube was necessary.

 

The Scots and Koreans apparently got them to work better.

It takes a "special" kind of loyalty (self-serving preservation) to sell out like that, as if to "make" a Republican victory '12. (Rubin's seal of approval.) Sure, especially in hindsight, you can argue that neither Paul nor Romney were going to win in '12. But there's more to selling out your own father, as if "What Difference Does It Make?!" I appreciate Sen. Rand Paul. No argument, Rand is doing and will do good work. But eventually under perpetual fire, I'd again hate to see him fall back to "abandon Liberty in order to save Liberty" when push comes to shove and deals are made. Gads, the perpetual mantras, 'not a hill worth protecting,' or, 'live to fight another day' sound wise until in that process of retreat, Constitutional Governance and the citizenry rights of power to resurrect such is destroyed. Lost. That's why I will never subscribe to taunting "truther, birther, teabagger" swill, dismissing the message because the messenger is ugly, or simply fearing fear. I'll read the book, despite the cover. Together, Cruz and Paul et al. make a great team, each with their own stylistic winning techniques, very complementary. They provide the elemental traits of wind, fire and water. I'm grateful they are both in office now, specifically countering the "compassionate" authoritarians running the GOP alongside the Democrats.
