— Ace Michelle Obama introduced the films for best picture, then delivered the winner's name, from the price-waterhouse envelope.
The winner was Argo, a movie which the screenwriter made a point to say was about using peaceful options to solve problems. It smells an awful lot like the Obamas knew ahead of time that a useful movie might win.
(By the way it's a good movie. But that's irrelevant here.)
So, we will simply never be permitted to escape the Obama's. They aim to be omnipresent, sharing the spotlight with any positive news or positive message.

Good God, will the fucking Obamas never fuck off? They pollute the Super Bowl, now this (which I don't care about, in honesty), what next? Will they have their images engraved over every crapper and urinal in the nation next? Is there no escaping these worthless shitheads?

Also weirdly (if sadly) appropriate that this year's Oscar show / Peronist rally coincides with the holiday of Purim and Shushan Purim.
Big themes of which include: How easily up can be declared down and down declared up if we don't stand fast against tyrants and the systems of belief that enable their presumption and intrusions into all aspects of our lives.
Seriously You Guys, it's written. See Yoram Hazony's tremendous book "The Dawn: Political Teachings of the Book of Esther" for a fascinating discussion of the connection between religious idolatry ("absolutizing the partial") and absolutist tyranny.

Unbelievable (in the new sense of "everyday, unremarkable"). Haven't seen a movie in years, haven't watched anything else connected with Hollywood in even more years, and this stupid "awards" show in many many years.
I have been saying for a while that the degradation of America is complete. Apparently I keep jumping the gun. New lows arrive with regularity.
Tasker's helpful analysis of the winning movie helps explain why my idiot brother in law and sister apparently liked it. My sister actually thinks Carter was anything other than a disaster, and has been anything other than a vicious, totalitarian-loving snake POS since his presidency.
And this degrading spectacle is so perfectly awful - the racist ignoramus wife of a pathetic non-entity of a "president" who doesn't spend 10 minutes dealing with a US consulate/ambassador being taken out on the anniversary of the worst attack on US soil in history further disgraces her position by doing a cameo for a movie that whitewashes the last disgraceful mismanagement of a response to a violation of US diplomats and territory.
Have a few friends still at State, have not spoken with them for a while, may be time to see if they can believe what is going on around them. I feel like my whole life and direct experience never happened, beyond cosmetics I don't even recognize this country.

And since this will be used as justification come the morn:
In his years as a Hollywood actor, Ronald Reagan never won an Academy Award nomination. But now that Mr. Reagan has moved on to another profession, he's been invited to appear on the Academy Awards program on March 30.
The President will remain in the White House and tape a brief greeting to the audience at the Oscar ceremonies, and his words will be televised early in the awards show.
''President Reagan was once a member of our industry and it seemed fitting for him to join us,'' said Norman Jewison, producer of this year's show.
He will not be the first President to make such an address. Franklin D. Roosevelt spoke to an Oscar audience by radio in 1941.

...and any peaceful options were used AFTER Carter chickenshitted out of the aborted attempt at a military rescue.
But I'm with 136. I grew up a movie fanatic, and the Oscars changed that for me' mostly with their "Best Documentary" pics.

No surprise Michelle appeared. She fancies herseelf a STAR, and besides, they are rolling her out into more prominent appearances (Why wasn't Obama the presenter, hmmm?) Because I am pretty sure they are going to try to run her.
No, they will not make her a senator first. That would leave the possibility that Cuomo or whoever might get in office and stay for 8 years, breaking the personality cult spell and possibly having a president who actually cares about the country.
Why is OFA still in operation? Why the more serious wig style? Nope, she is going to run.

My father lost our family business under that vicious (and oh, he WAS vicious) two-faced incompetent pious litle shit Carter. I was a cub reporter covering the 1980 primaries in New Hampshire when I interviewed "Chip" Carter. He was a foul-mouthed little pissant and chip off the old block, and I told him to his face his father was a failure. That's when I knew I wouldn't be a reporter.

President Obama is correct, our leaders should not spend their time moving from an economic or fiscal crisis to another. It almost seems as what now passes for governance is limited to dealing with the fabricated crisis of the month. This latest "crisis" was precipitated by the GOP insistence on spending reductions as a condition to agree to raise the debt ceiling two years ago. I guess we should be thankful they did not do the same when the debt ceiling was raised 18 times when Ronald the Merciful was in office, or when it was raised 7 times while W the Puppet was chopping wood in Crawford.
if President Obama is a DO NOTHING, why are people like you constantly criticizing everything he does? He hs proposed more legislation and achieved more goals in four years than his predecessor did in eight, with a Republican controlled Congress during his first six years in office. President Obama's record, in spite of all the obstructionism and demonization, is among the best in modern history. That's one of the reasons people like you hate his guts, but the main reason is because He is black!
Racist! Racist! Azzhole!
What's the story exactly? This is the same stuff that the SEIU and other 'community organizing' organizations do. What's the surprise?
Why? Does the President lose his 1st Amendment rights when he takes the oath of office? Otherwise, the man can endorse anything he wants. This is America.
And stop with the communist nonsense. Obama is not even close to what many would consider a communist. Please read up on the definition.
Is Barack Obama an Evil Man? NO
Is Barack Obama destroying America? NO
Is Barack Obama a usurper? NO
Is Barack Obama a traitor? NO
Is Barack Obama a Marxist? NO
Is Barack Obama a Communist? NO

Are you a stupid hateful racist that hates having a black man as President?
YES
Comparing Obama to Hitler in any way is ridiculous, disgusting and ignorant. Crawl into a hole, you troll!
As expected, The the racists (not patriots) have a problem with Mrs. Obama, in a silver dress by designer Naaem Khan, was as glamorous as any of the women who walked the red carpet, only racists don't agree with this!
The cameras and crew were most likely paid for by the show's producers. Taxpayers may have footed the bill for a meal for the service men and women in attendance, maybe some overtime for those same people. Are you so miserly that you'd begrudge an evening at the White House for those service men and women? What in blazes is wrong with you? Is your hatred for the Obamas that deep that such an irrational criticism seems logical? Your continued reference to the FLOTUS as "Moochelle" shows a lack of character as well as a diminished intellect.
I find it funny that everyone forgets that Laura Bush was part of the Oscars in 2002, and Ronald Reagan was a part of the Oscars in 1981. I donÂ’t remember there being this much made of them....oh wait they were White so it doesn't matter!
Do you want an angry gunman killing everyone you love with military grade weapons? I thought not. He is right.
You racists ONLY want to be impeach him because he's black! Admit it! He;s done nothing worth being impeached!
Looks Like calling a the President a fraud and a POS seems to be the calling card for racists and bigots like you!
