AoSHQ Podcast: Guest, Sean Davis
— andy

Bumped, and Open Thread.

Sean Davis, writer at The Federalist and COO of Media Trackers joins Ace, Gabe, Drew and John to discuss Obamacare, the perils of Juicebox Journalism, and the Martin Bashir firing at MSNBC.

Then Gabe and Drew pull back the curtain on a new segment to give you a glimpse of what every day's coblogger email group looks like as they argue with each other (over immigration. again.) while the rest of the gang tries to slip a word in edgewise. I think someone may have been killed with a trident.

They wrap up the episode with another new segment - Q&A from the Moron Mailbag.

Alec Baldwin ,  Martin Bashir  and Obama walk into a bar  at happy hour.

Alec Baldwin yells at the bartender " get me a beer you fag !"

Martin Bahsir also yells at the bartender " get me one now  or I'll shit in your mouth! "

Obama   orders  a  beer  and asks the bartender " have you signed up for Obamacare yet?"

The bartender looks at  Obama  and  says  "  Sir ,  if you continue to throw obscenities my way I'm going to have to ask you to leave"

93 Could VIAGRA help treat period pains? Study finds it's as good as painkillers - without the side-effects. Taking the drug in pessary form boosted blood flow to the pelvic region. But when taken as a tablet it caused unpleasant side effects such as headaches Women who took the drug as a pessary reported pain relief, say researchers from the Penn State College of Medicine. By pessary they mean shoving it up your hoo-haa which is very strange. One of you gals try it out and report back to AoSHQ-RX.

if the popo are coming in and you are told to control your dog then CONTROL YOUR FUCKING DOG OR IT'LL BE CONTROLLED FOR YOU

Bullshit.  Unwrap your lips from cop dick for a few minutes.

First of all, it's a bit difficult to control one's dog when you're handcuffed and forced to the floor with uniformed thugs screaming at you.

When they bust down your door (almost everything qualifies for "no knock" status), I'm pretty fucking sure they're not going to sit back and wait for you to lock up your pets before entering.

Second, there have been many cases where the cops pre-emptively shoot dogs for "officer safety", whether the dog is poised to attack or not.

Besides many of these peticides have taken place outside the home OR are some innocuous furball that couldn't gum a sock into a coma.

After my two german shepherds got done with him he had 300 stitches and a new perspective on don't fucking just walk into someone's house. Posted by: tagnonine at December 06, 2013 11:40 AM (x3YFz) A neighbor walked into my house, made herself a cup of coffee and sat down at the kitchen table figuring that I would be back soon. The dog woke up (always went back to bed after kids left for school) and ambled into the kitchen, sat down next to her and put her big fat head in silly neighbor's lap. A 150 lb Rottweiler putting her head in your lap keeps you pinned down for however long it takes. The neighbor still tells that story on herself. Good thing I returned before neighbor had to go to bathroom. Tee hee

170 Pitbulls are a special case imho, and I consider them the most dangerous breed of dog on the planet. I would never trust one and my default opinion on seeing one is that it wants to kill me. Posted by: GnuBreed at December 06, 2013 11:52 AM (cHZB7) They are only as dangerous as the person that trained/raised them. No more, no less. They are the 'scary' dog du jour. Before them it was Rottweilers, before them it was Doberman pinschers, before them German Shepherds and on and on. The only dogs I've ever been bit by....terriers. The only dog my dog has been bit by....terrier. And that was in a house that also had two pits in addition to the terrier.

174 once again, when this happens the necessary disciplinary actions need to occur

And almost without exception, said actions don't occur.

Nobody is suggesting a cop has to get mauled by an angry pit pull before shooting it in self defense.  We all understand that there are going to be unfortunate scenarios where it's necessary.

However, the threat the cop allegedly made?  Had he carried it out I can pretty much guarantee he'd not face so much as a wrist-slap.  "Officer Safety" and "In Accordance With Department Policy" would be the phrases of the day.

But like prosecutorial over reach, they don't get disciplined for bad behavior.

Some DA in Tejas didn't share info on a guy and the guy spent 20 some years in the slammer. He finally got out and they charged the DA with misconduct.

His sentence?

10 DAYS in jail.

Most cops and DA's NEVER are confronted with their misdeeds.

When's the last time an "investigation" on a cop shooting came back NOT JUSTIFIED? And that's not one district or one state, that's all over the country.

Because the DA's can't be bothered to go after the cops (same side you know) and the judges can't be bothered to go after the DA"s.

And then they wonder why few people have respect for the law anymore.

The whole dog/cat divide thing:  people talk about dogs who stay with their owners, even after  the owner  dies and  is not found for days/weeks.   Starving themselves as they "mourn" the loss.

My cats will jump up on my bed to see if I'm still breathing.  If so, they cuddle up.  If not, they would start chowing down on my carcass.

You can say your dog loves you, but  if you can't respect a cat for its practicality,  I don't know what to tell you.

world cup? Buncha hooligans running around a field kicking a ball and each other. No scoring (or very little) no action no excitement (except in the stands when the fans get rowdy)
