AoSHQ Podcast: Special Guest, Greg Pollowitz
— andy

NRO's Planet Gore blogger Greg Pollowitz joins Gabe, Drew, John E., Rick Tempest and me to discuss the government shutdown, the CR/debt ceiling fight and the disastrous Obamcare exchange rollout.

From there we moved on to lighter topics like Womyn's Empowerment! through t-shirts, the Washington Redskins team name and the ridiculous overreaction to the "Let's Move" stamps showing kids engaged in dangerous activities like the cannonball dive. The US Postal Service gets a lot of love at the end.

120 91 Look nobody mails anything anymore anyway. I mean if you have not heard the Post Office is on it's way out of business.

My main hangout is Canada's Free Dominion and about a year ago there was a rather heated discussion about abolishing Canada Post which is even worse than our postal "system." Basically our mail gets to their border and gets delivered "at some time in the future."

My main complaint about ours is they deliver mostly junk, the main office has impossible parking, and the one annex is in the hinterlands. Expense aside, I suspect if the PO dropped dead all of us would figure out ways to deal with it.

121 "From there we moved on to lighter topics like Womyn's Empowerment! through t-shirts, the Washington Redskins team name" Juxtaposing the two topics in such a manner elucidates the fundamentally bull-shit nature of Leftism. Leftism is not opposed to taboos, as it claims, but rather to doing away with old and/or socially-useful taboos and replacing them with a plethora of new, socially-destructive and liberty-destroying taboos. And even so, the claim that the only reason that women are not gallivanting about completely nude or constantly conversing about masturbation and/or menstruation is Because Patriarchy is, like many or all Leftist claims, at least somewhat imbecilic. Engaging in any of those activities would generally lower women's sexual power and/or influence, as activities which seem excessively animalistic inherently do, and as women are wired (animalistically) to maximize their sexual power and/or influence, they are unlikely to engage in any of those activities even given the "freedom" to do so. As for the fact that within the Progressed Modern context, both men and women derive their notions of the ideal feminine sexual form from pornography, and the increasingly unnatural nature of that form, that might be a subject for discussion were people capable of discussing any subject in a mature manner, which they are usually not. As for the Red Skins controversy, one should note that Leftists always succeed in framing the breaking of the taboos that they are trying to break and/or weaken as "naughty," whereas many Conservatives fail to do so. As such Leftists always succeed in breaking whatever taboos they are trying to break, and at imposing whatever taboos they are trying to impose upon Conservatives.

122 No twerking stamp?

123 I read that they are going forward with a Harvey Milk stamp. Yeah, I know he is the gay Jesus or something but he was a nasty politician who played hardball with an unstable guy.

The stamps images should have stuck to things OBAMA can do.

That would have eliminated just about ALL of them.

They left out the Voting Fraud stamp.  Picture of an ACORN symbol, but you have to put three or four of 'em on each envelope.
