AoSHQ Podcast: Special Guest, John McCormack
— andy

This week Gabe, Drew, John E., Rick Tempest and I are joined by John McCormack of The Weekly Standard to discuss the government shutdown, the death of author Tom Clancy and the laughably bad rollout of the Obamacare enrollment system, or, as it's called on the blog, 404care.

One has to wonder if the geniuses behind the Obamacare websites didn't do the same thing that the Russians did with Western technology (according to the agent "Farewell" during the Cold War):

Obtain the software, pass it off as "working", and since they weren't the ones who actually, you know, DEVELOPED IT, now haven't the first clue how to fix all of the glitches.

Perhaps conservatives  could just keep logging on day after day, pull a "Chad", and get an account, never really meaning to purchase anything.

Tie them up for months on end, chasing their tails.

Let the system keep crashing and crashing and crashing.

Barry seems to be picking a fight with the men and women currently in uniform and now out of uniform. Barry should be thankful that the US military isn't a 2nd or 3rd world outfit because he would have been deposed with extreme prejudice at this point.

It is a blessing to all freedom loving Americans to have a military force that has this type of restraint in the face of a CiC that is trying his best to make them suffer the worst.

Hmmm.... if you take all the money spent on healthcare and divide it by the number of people in the US.... its about $8500 per person...

Your health insurance, for 3 youngish people... with deductible... is $30,500????

Average costs for three would be $25,500... so you would potentially pay MORE than the average cost (when 1/3 of heath costs come in the last year of life), for 3 Healthy folks?

Something is rotten in Denmark.... er.... Washington...

Itsa TAX!
Government takes your money. Government spends that money where it will do the most good, for the people who have the authority to spend it.

188 Posted by: Brandon In Baton Rouge at October 04, 2013 04:59 PM (/Crba) Congratulations! You win the contest for "Most enraging comment of the day!" and with today's competition, that's quite a feat. Okay... I'm pretending that comment doesn't exist, because I don't want to be spewing profanities at dinner before Mrs. Tenther and I go to the symphony.

190 It's not important if lots of citizens don't receive their new plans yet. What is important is that we have more personal data before 2014.

191 Wait, What? Richard Pryor reincarnate is doing his stand up routine on the D.C. Mall? Is there video?

Pryor was known for uncompromising examinations of racism and topical contemporary issues, which employed colorful vulgarities, and profanity, as well as racial epithets

He was also know for setting himself on fire while freebasing and working the experience into a comedy routine.

192 And I would encourage anyone who is RC to forward that FOX article on the priests to your own priest and Bishops. This needs to get out for masses on Saturday and Sunday.

194 "Who are you? A heart attack? I don't have time for you, can't you see I'm running down the street on fire?" The funniest man who ever lived IMO.

197 I'm a middle aged male who get health, dental vision at my company through UHC. MY job is financial so I see the numbers and it costs the company 182.94 per month to pay for my insurance. I spoke with a middle aged male in California today who said his pays 325 per month. He makes what I make. He'll get a lower premium and mine will be going up as a result of this law. But let's back up. Why is he paying nearly double what I pay? Because his state didn't write medical tort reform like Texas. So essentially Obamamutherfuckingcare subsidizes irresponsible liberal state citizens with responsibly governed conservative state citizen money. No wonder Nancy Pelosi (D) and Peter King (R) are defending this shit to the end. It's a huge pork award for their voters.

198 What is with democrats and their territorial battles. You would have thought they learned a lesson after the Civil War but no, same old shit. I say subsidize citizen energy costs in energy producing states and charge leftist one party states more. They better do something to retaliate. Fight back goddamit. THIS IS REGIONAL BATTLE AT ITS ROOT.

199 Idk if anyone else asked, but thanks JohnE for identifying yourself before you speak despite what that guy Ace says. Besides Malor, Ive got two more down -- JohnE talks really fastin a smart voice and Andy has a got a little bit of country in his voice. I just call everyone else Ace-DrewM-Special Guest. The podcasts are great to listen to in the car when you've got some driving to do.
