No link for a Large Island-Nation State Media. But it's at the BBC, if you want to Bing the headline.

Over the next five years, the US will account for a third of new oil supplies, according to the International Energy Agency (IEA).

The US will change from the world's leading importer of oil to a net exporter.

Demand for oil from Middle-East oil producers is set to slow as a result.

"North America has set off a supply shock that is sending ripples throughout the world," said IEA executive director Maria van der Hoeven.

The surge in US production will reshape the whole industry, according to the IEA...

The report sees the US passing Russia to become the world's largest natural gas producer in 2015, and becoming energy self-sufficient by 2035.

So, there is some good news.

Hopefully by 2035 or I'm as bad at math as the President.

2 I'm sure the Dems can find a way to restrict all of this.  I would venture to guess that they will find a way to destroy it completely.

3 This is very bad news. I'll have to make sure this doesn't happen somehow. I didn't Cloward-Piven my way to this point only to have it all collapse into prosperity now!

Almost all of this is being done on private lands.  Imagine where we'd be if the fucking watermelons would open up public turf.

Oh right, they'd just spend the new windfalls from the leases on more Obamaphones and other vote buying schemes.

8 "So why am I paying 4 bux for gas?"
===============

The really sick thing is that I feel a palpable relief every time I find gas is *only* $4.00, and I'm ecstatic when it dips around $3.50 or less.

Ten years ago $2+ gasoline was alarming, but now $4 has been normalized.

That's disgusting.

I'm happy for our country, as this news means we will have significant numbers of jobs in energy.  However, I'm not going to scream for joy until I start seeing gas prices of $1.89/gallon for mid-grade.  Take us there, and I'll be shouting from the rooftops.

11 So me putting all my money on wind-farms may not have been the best idea, eh?

12 Only way we'll be allowed to become energy self sufficient is if the environmental movement is muzzled.

About that. Apparently the Algae lake was located near the new Solar Panel Array.

Well, mistakes happen and all the algae got fried.

Hell, MSNBC was all over the story!

I'm amazed you didn't hear about it...

21 So why am I paying 4 bux for gas? Posted by: RolandTHTG at May 15, 2013 12:49 PM ------------ Because refining oil into gas is a huge bottleneck. Eniro-wackos don't let refineries get built in the US anymore.

24 I know it's not as simple as all that, but for some reason gas is still $3.79. Oh joy, maybe we can stay under $4 this summer.

Does this mean we can ignore the middle east with impunity?  Sort of treat Abbas like he's a tinpot dictator?  Tell Iran to go fuck themselves?
