Ben Bernanke: Well Sure ObamaCare Reduces Employment!

Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke acknowledged that Obamacare regulations have caused employers to hire part-time workers, rather than full-time employees, but refused to say if Congress should delay the lawÂ’s mandates.
Â“[O]ne thing that we hear, you know, in the commentary we get at the FOMC is that some employers are hiring part-time in order to avoid the mandate there,Â” Bernanke told Rep. Marlin Stutzman, R-Ind., during a House hearing. Â“So we have heard that.Â”
White House Press Secretary Jay Carney adopted the opposite position during the press briefing Tuesday. Â“I would say broadly that if you look at the economic data, the suggestion that the [Affordable Care Act] is reducing full-time employment is belied by the facts,Â” Carney said.

Yes, I'm sure Jay Carney is looking through all the economic data.

Or, as you say, sit on the sidelines for a couple years. In either case, those nurses, techs, office assistants, billing personnel and so on will be out of jobs.

124 My doctor's office (single doctor) employs about 5. And the effect is wider than that. With 5 people (even with 1 doctor), you're probably looking at them also having a billing service. Whoops, that service just lost that revenue. And they have suppliers for everything from drugs to cotton swabs. Multiply that effect out by tens of thousands of doctors who get out of the profession.

We get shit-tons of 'em here, too. But they are not as bad as the endless Toyota "sale! Sale! SALE!!!" ads, from "Winter Sales Fest" to "Summer Savings Jamboree," with one or two "Toyota-thons" thrown in for good measure.

You would think the Top. Men. of advertising would realize that putting all your eggs in the "Sale!!!!!11!!!" basket would leave people wondering why you don't talk about the product, if it's so damn good.

I could go on at length about other ads on teevee which, if possible, top the car ads for suckage, but why bother?

It's all Choom Boy's fault, anyway.
