Not the right stuff for this already august thread, but seeing the stories about Jeb Bush presenting the Hildebeast with a medal while floating the chance that he may run in 2016 just pisses me off to no end.
Can we finally be done with this legacy crap? Give it another 5-10 years max and Chelsea will run for Congress. Actually, she may run in 2016 now that I write that out loud. Regardless, anyone who wants Jeb to run in 2016 is a tool. Looking at you, Karl Rove.

I'm surprised with all the Baldwin stuff his other abhorrent behavior hadn't gotten mentioned. He was at Gandolfini's funeral. And him and his wife were tweeting during it. Not just about the funeral but also tweeting about all their stupid upcoming projects and promotions, while Gandolfini's widow was giving the eulogy.

Okay, I'm going to raise a modest defense here, not for Baldwin, but for his behavior. In the case of his daughter, he said things that a father ought to say, he just used the wrong words. He was also realizing that he was 16 years too late, and that he was responsible for the arrogant spoiled brat's behavior.
So far as his wife goes, if the paper made impugning remarks that were not true , then Baldwin was justified in reacting...., again, he did it wrongly. The guy is an asshole, but his calling calling out bad behavior is justified.
If Monica Lewinski's father, and Chandra Levi's father had called out Clinton and Condit in the same manner, they would have earned my respect.

Why do ships and aircraft use 'mayday' as their call for help?

President Barack Obama is planning to simultaneously push through the appointments of three judges to what has been called the second-most-important court in the country, in a move seen by Republicans as an attempt to stack the court toward a liberal agenda.
According to The New York Times, the announcement of Obama's choices to rapidly fill the three vacant seats on the 11-member United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia could come as early as this week.
<snip>
"The whole purpose here is to stack the court," says Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.
