And some of their literature was kinda racists at times.
John Birch was an American Christian missionary in China prior to WWII, and helped the Nationalist government against the Japanese. For this, he was brutally murdered by the Reds (no, not the baseball team in Cincinnati).
The John Birch Society was mostly dedicated to educating people about communism. This was a big thing in this country at one time. The domestic Reds of the 60's caused a whole lot more trouble, and now a lot of them are in academia and the government.
But it was the Birchers and Tailgunner Joe that wrecked the country. Just like the sequester. And that damn Tea Party. And Roger Penske and his trucks.

Doesn't make sense; we've seen the video. 78-year-old guy fell down - no other runners. The bombs were in trash cans, not in the street, and only two died. Unless it was only her and the 8-year-old, and she somehow did not appear in the video, perhaps the heartbreaking photo story was made up to get attention.
