I'm reading "I Will Bear Witness", Victor Klemperer's diaries which he secretly kept during the years 1933-1945. He was a Jew, living in Dresden, and the diaries show how the Nazi grip on German life grew tighter and tighter over the years. I'm still in the early part, but already some of it looks creepily similar to our present days. We don't have death camps, of course, but neither did they in 1934. Mostly I notice how people seem to be either nonchalant about the increase in lawlessness by the state, or frozen in despair and disbelief.
"Hindenburg dies at nine o'clock on the 2nd of August, one hour later a "law" of the Reich Government of August 1 appears: The offices of the President and the Chancellor are united in Hitler's person, the army (Wehrmacht) will give its oath to him, and at half past six the troops in Dresden swore their oath and everything is completely calm. Our butcher says indifferently: "Why vote first? It just costs a lot of money." The people hardly notice this complete coup d'état, it all takes place in silence, drowned out by hymns to the dead Hindenburg. I would swear that millions upon millions have no idea what a monstrous thing has occurred. -- Eva says, "And we belong to this band of slaves.""

I don't know about meth, but wasn't it already pretty well known that JFK was hooked on those painkillers "Dr. Feelgood" (a complete quack beloved by the Beautiful People because he was basically their pusher) shot him up with?
Of course, it doesn't matter. If proof came out tomorrow that the brothers Kennedy not only killed Marilyn Monroe, but personally hacked her to death with axes and then had sex with her toaster, it wouldn't matter - because CAMELOT!

Saw something on Fox that said Helen Thomas claimed to have dated JFK once and complained he was "too fresh." Posted by: Jane D'oh, Tea Partier Extraordinaire at October 12, 2013 04:13 PM (lVPtV)
That in and of itself is conclusive proof that JFK was on drugs - he looked at Helen Thomas and thought "Hot Babe."

Mary Meyer was later found dead under odd circumstances, and eminence grise James Jesus Angleton of Agency counterintelligence was apparently quite keen to take her personal diary into custody, from which it has never reappeared.
Not making any of this up.
No matter how bizarre the story is regarding the Kennedys, I suspect that the actual behind the scenes realities were even more nuts.

An Australian company created two ballistic mannequins, of the type armies now use to test weapons; in the past they used live pigs. These were made of gelatine, resin bones, and chamois skin.
They hired a marksman (Oswald was a former marine and an expert shot) and put him in a crane at the right distance and angle. The mannequins were positioned where Kennedy and Connally sat in the limo, and the marksman fired.
Not only did the shot almost exactly duplicate the multiple wounds inflicted on Kennedy and Connally, the recovered bullet looked remarkably like the slightly flattened "magic bullet."
Very compelling argument that Oswald was the single shooter, which I'd concluded a long time ago.

Yep. Me, too.
Speed, sure, but not in throat (that is just weird). Also, look at meth photos today of the sores on face as the drug causes major itching and then they get staph infections and lose their teeth and age rapidly. This special meth of the 60's did not seem to do that (Marilyn Monroe on meth?).
Amphetamines, yes, but not the meth of today. This is purely speculation on my part as I make chili and swill house Bordeaux because it is Saturday (I think). Also! I am a RN and I have never seen or read of this meth to throat injection, therefore it cannot be true.

The meth of the '60s being prescribed by the Dr. Feelgood types was pharmaceutical grade, whereas the meth of today is cooked up under rather less than optimal and carefully monitored conditions, with goodness knows how many process contaminants in it.

The liberal machine and its media sycophants have convinced the public that Kennedy was indeed one of the greats. Ask a Kennedy fan to come up with anything JFK ever accomplished and they'll tell you something about the Cuban Missle Crisis and how he stood down Kruschev. What actually happened was that Kennedy traded off Turkey's missle system for that of Fidel's, much to the chagrin of the Turks (see Donald Kagan's "On the Origins of War.) The Bay of Pigs was more typically Kennedy.
What we have here is the making of a lazy girl-watching senator morphed into a major statesman, sold in the words of old man Joe "like a box of corn flakes."
Come to think of it, I can't come up with a single Kennedy that ever was worth a shit.
