— Ace Last week, first Holder and then Obama addressed Al Sharpton's National Action Network, both making emotionally-charged claims of persecution to the largely-black audience.
Bret Hume thinks this is nonsense. So it seems to me as well.
“To those two men, race has been both a shield and a sword that they have used effectively to defend themselves and attack others,” Hume continued. “It is depressing at this stage in our national life, after all we’ve been through on this issue and given the overwhelming consensus of civil rights, that this stuff is still going on.”
On the same panel (I think) George Will calls the left's constant invocation of race to explain away criticism of them as a "kind of Tourette's syndrome."
He notes that Obama's foreign policy is in "shambles," and the economy is miserable -- does one need to venture far afield to come up with clever subconscious explanations for why Obama is unpopular?
No, of course not; the reasons for his unpopularity are glaringly obvious. Thus making it all the more necessary to claim that "racism" accounts for opposition against him.

To the left, actually criticizing Obammy, or Stedman, or Nazi PeloKKKi, or the pederast Hairy Reed, is akin to racism, sexism, ageism, etc-ism, even if the subjects of those various -isms are never actually mentioned. The sheer notion that someone might DARE to criticize the secular saints of the socialist left is all the evidence they need to scream, "BIGOT!!!!!" like a three year old in a sandbox who can't find his bucket and spade.

Think of the closest thing to a “Republican Sharpton”. Whoever he would be. Imagine GOP leaders making a pilgrimage to that person to praise him and stir up racial animosity among his followers. And imagine Democrats staying silent. WTF?

Actually, you're wrong there.
Read the comments from any of the leftists.
Over and over they'll all tell how the stimulus was a success, how Obaaamacare is working, and on and on and on--everything the Shit Midas touches is gold in their minds, to their telling.
So yeah, it is racism to them. There is no other reason why people would "disapprove" of the person behind all these successes BUT racism.
You, I and everyone not a leftist can say, "hey, you know if all of this that Obaaama has done is such a success, where's the actual results?"
The leftist will manipulate the data, cherry-pick the framing and crow loudly, "See, it is so a success!!"
That's the problem, when you crawl into the mind of a leftist--they, by force of will, see success where none can realistically be claimed.
And we'll never talk them out of it.
So your policy disagreements are merely a ruse, a pretext, a facade for your racism.

It seems that most, if not all, of the folks in Congress investigating the Administration are not African-Americans.
Eric Holder just believes that he would be more responsive if they were African-American (i.e. looks like him).
The proof ... Rep. Elijah Cummings wants information on "True the Vote" ... the IRS complies, in fact it asks questions of "True the Vote" for Rep. Elijah Cummings. All non-African-Americans are still waiting.
You get the picture, Eric Holder is discriminating against non-African-American members of Congress.

Alinksy means never having to say you're sorry.
In other words, whatever the question, the answer is racism. It's in the playbook, and the reason they use it over and over and over is because it works.
If people like Hume are going to continue to huff and puff about it, they're going to continue to be one step behind. You don't win against this crowd by being outraged.

The degradation and debasement of the country I constantly refer to includes, prominently, this racism and race-baiting. From the highest, most powerful government positions in the former republic. Disgusting, and outrageous.
Yet, as always, I would say it has almost nothing to do with these uninteresting, unintelligent, talentless wastes of oxygen (Obama and Holder) who would never have been in any positions of significance if they had not identified as black. It is the country itself.
If pathetically inept and ineffective idiots like these two can degrade their offices and the nation with their vile antics, what does it say about the country? Would a Klansman spouting insane s**t from a powerful podium find much resonance with the populace? No. Would he be tolerated. No.
The country (the GOP, the electorate, the "institutions") are reflected in the despicable crap these people pull. Either through cowardice, or self-seeking, or cluelessness, or laziness, or shared repugnant and idiotic beliefs - this degradation is on everyone's head.

We should really feel sorry for Holder, he's been up against so much in his life, all the time, and has had to suffer horribly!
it close to those guys who got killed being slaves and stuff, it's super close to that. Look at Al Sharpton too, that guy has just flat out SUFFERED. SUFFERED.
Plus Obama, dude has had to go through so many trials that it's amazing that he got elected President by cheating twice!
These guys all have had it pretty fucking tough.

White House press secretary Jay Carney called a Russian fighter jet's buzzing of a U.S. Navy destroyer in the Black Sea one of a series of Russian “provocations” and threatened that there would be costs for Moscow's aggressive actions in Ukraine.
“I can assure you that Russia's provocations and further transgressions will come with a cost,” he said. “Certainly if they go further down the road in attempting to destabilize Ukraine ... the costs will continue to grow.”...

As long as you allow even SOME little bit of acceptance that blacks have been oppressed, then all of it comes into play.
And you can't say this one is oppressed and that one isn't.
It doesn't work that way although it should.
Because blacks are human and what human can resist the opportunity to blame someone else for their problems or their miserable life.
Very few people can face the fact that with the exception of about 10% of your fate being luck (good or bad) the rest has come about because of decisions YOU made.
Whether they seemed good or bad at the time is irrelevant. Or even if there were NO choice in what you had to do. Although there's always a choice of some kind. Just that some choices are so horrendous that they can't even be considered.
It's taken me YEARS to face up to that one and finally find an acceptance that yeah I got handed some bad situations but it was me that put myself there to where they came about.
It sucks to find out that there is such a thing as karma/fate/destiny and sometimes you just can't fight it and win.
As to the Occupant and the Number One Criminal?

No spoilers, but I will say this, up until now the show has very tightly followed the books, if not having as much detail, at least not changing important events.
I can see them changing the answer to this question, and maybe they have good reason to do so, but what happens next... well, I'm very curious as to what they intend to do with it.

Obama walks into a bar.
The bartender says, " What can I get you to drink"
Obama replies, " What does me being black have anything to do with wanting a drink?"
Perplexed, the bartender says, " I'm sorry , what?"
Obama replies, " Are you refusing to serve me because I'm black?"
The bartender says, " With all due respect, I don't know what you are talking about"
Obama replies, " Sorry, I accidentally pushed the race card function on my teleprompter"

With my son home on leave after his Afghanistan deployment, he, my daughter and myself went around visiting family so that everyone could see him and spend time with him. On one of our visits, my paternal aunt (a marvelous and spunky 91-year-old little old lady) had a photo album with a photograph (daguerreotype?) of my Native American Great-grandmother Elizabeth.
Turns out my Great Grandmother Elizabeth had been widowed prior to her marriage to my great-grandfather. Prior to his death, her first husband had been a well-to-do farmer but when he passed away, relatives from his side of the family swooped down and claimed the farm for their own because Indians weren't allowed to own land at that time, in that place.
Okay, what happened to my Great-grandmother Elizabeth was outright injustice and racial discrimination and everything else. What happened to her was awful, and I can only imagine how she must've felt about it. That said, those awful things happened to her, not me, and they happened about a hundred years ago. I cannot use the discrimination against her as any justification for my own personal failures nor can I warp my perceptions or twist my reasoning enough to make myself believe what happened to her entitles me to anything. Besides, like famed Native American Senator Elizabeth 'Fauxcahontas' Warren, I don't look like an Indian. I have blue eyes and (before it turned gray) blonde hair.
My point? It's time to turn in the race card, to completely eliminate racial categorizations in all official government documentation unless that information is used as a purely physical descriptor such as height and weight are purely physical descriptors. Both Obama and Holder are weaklings for playing it.
