— Ace Via Le Figaro:
Oh I'm sorry, I accidentally forgot I speak English too. Sorry, you know, I just casually read Le Figaro now so I tend to forget. One language is just like another to moi. (lights pipe, pulls the bell for the butler to carry the match off to the Match Recycling Container)
(Actually today was the first day I thought to try that and I saw the story there first so I figured I'd just do this Attitudinal joke.)
“The eighth General Congregation of the College of Cardinals has decided that the Conclave will begin on Tuesday, 12 March 2013.“A “pro eligendo Romano Pontifice” Mass will be celebrated in St. Peter’s Basilica in the morning. In the afternoon the cardinals will enter into the Conclave.”
The Anchoress has some speculations (or at least some inclinations) regarding the next pope.
She's talking about "youth and energy" in the next Pope, which makes him sound a bit like he's being pushed by the Entertainment industry, but I suppose that's an appealing thing for people who are themselves younger.

considering the source I'd say that's an ironic comment

No kidding, but also for Brennan's protection. The document was last seen in Sandy Burger's pants!

Sense of humor I get. That's not what I'm getting.

141 It's only a matter of time when some idiot asks why not a woman pope.
You can't have a woman pope, silly...because then her Pap Smear would have to be referred to as the 'Papal Smear'.

yes because my online persona is incredibly different from what i've published in the past. in other words I don't try to hard online. If I did it would take me ages to reply to comments to make sure the comment looked perfect. But thanks for the insult, it isn't ace's without some people here having beef with you. Been at here since 2008, nothing new to me.

The obsessive cult of Yoof is part of the dry rot in the foundations of our civilization.
I don't want flash, hype and "energy" if what that amounts to is all just form over substance, surface over depth. I want serious, sage wisdom accumulated over time.
When I go to a doctor for surgery, or retain legal counsel, or when I peek into the flight deck of a plane I'm about to fly aboard, I'm reassured to see some experienced gray hair. And even though I'm not a Catholic, I'd like the same in a Pope, thank you very much.

Well shoot, the joke flew past my head in the same thread i'm telling people to get a sense of humor. My bad. Actually I tweeted until November. Guess the data b/w June and November is lost? Again my apologies. You always gotta have your guard up when the morons strike.

Protip: When you're typing real fast and trying to make sure your comment gets out there ASAP (coupled with a bad keyboard at work), it's very easy to type "to" instead of "too".

I agree. Plus one thing I've come to believe is that the internet can be nasty and mean because everything reads just a little nastier and mean on it even if that's not the intention.
