This Is CNN
— Ace

CNN now clarifies this was a "joke." (That's just a link of the same picture; the joke clarification is by @politico's Media Defender Dylan Byers, and I don't link that shit.)

via @ehtanklapper and @katmckinley

Kat asks if I'll do a rant. Right now I'm struck dumb.

Ever hear someone say "I need to process this" when something really unbelievable happens?

I need to process this.

Glad to see that Russian environmentalists are just as scientifically retarded as their western counterparts:

However the collapse underlines concerns about the condition of the now defunct nuclear plant over two-and-a-half-decades after the explosion of reactor number four.

"Even if the radiation levels did not change, this is a worrying sign," Vladimir Churov of Greenpeace in neighbouring Russia told the Interfax news agency.

"If there are sections in the turbine hall that are falling down there is no guarantee that the sarcophagus built in 1986 will not be the next to fall."

Yeah, nothing to guarantee it, except for the several meters of steel reinforced concrete.

How many links to the Rubio "dry mouth montage" have you been sent today? I got two, and I expect more. It's early here.

They both came from people--I know these finely educated dipshits--who don't know who Rubio is. Understand?

What they know is that "LOL [today's hated Republican]!" is the right way to suck up to People Like Me.

(Not me, but they don't know that, because if they did, "LOL oblig.!" would be their way of sucking up to People Like They Thought I Was.)

Today it's "Rubio." And this is all "Rubio" means to them--and all it ever will.

Yes.  The left is entirely predictable.  It is a 100% certainty that the left will do everything possible to tear down Rubio (and Ben Carson, and on and on).  But if they are called on it, people will notice what the left is doing.  They won't be able to easily get away with it.

Ditto for handling Obama.  In 2009, we weren't quite sure how he would behave.  There is no mystery anymore.  But the GOP just sits there dumbfounded.

Until the GOP develops any sort of media strategy, I give up hope for them.  And I don't even care any more.  It's not hard to determine how to combat the left.

Yeah, bitches. I remember ya'.

I read that, too.  Cowboy was in hyperventilation status, if memory serves.  As one of the 'rons stated above, CNN has been successful in taking the Rubio's rebuttal and completely taking the focus off the content and making it about the stupidest fucking thing they could think of.  Where's Boehner or anyone else to speak up and pound, pound, pound home what Rubio fucking said?!  He's too busy grabbing a smoke, a tan, a tear and a highball, I suppose.

Ends and means, comrade.  One does not justify the other.

I don't mind Dorner being a BBQ briquette.  I do mind that it is somehow acceptable law enforcement policy to burn people out of hiding.  We're not Vikings or Muslims.

Like I said, I'm not trolling about it.  It's just seems like a bad idea to accept this as some sort of appropriate law enforcement tactic.

"Burners"?  Really?  They knew that these would start a fire??

250 The MFM are the enemy. They have declared war on us because we are "ideologically impure." Puvblishing the addresses of "dissenters" who own guns in blue states in the hopes that they would be harassed or robbed is just the beginning. The downside to us pushing back against them will be that they will do more of that, but we have to do it anyway. Dig up any dirt you can, follow their movements and habits, protest them, monkeywrench the bastards.

260 Two possibilities: 1) They were trying to look hip and "with it" by referring to the latest giggle-fest among their side of the social media scene. 2) They were trying to feel superior to the social media, which they feel threatened by, by pointing out something vacuous on Twitter. Neither of those possibilities is flattering to CNN.

266 The onslaught of Democrat talking points echoed perfectly from MSM, New Media and Social Networking is making low-info perception a reality. How to defeat the propaganda arm of the neo-fascist Democrat party's appeal to ignorance is key to stopping their agenda. The atmosphere the low-info public breathes is entirely created by propagandists. It IS the culture now. The marketplace of ideas isn't a free market as long as one side has a near-monopoly on distribution of mores, morals, culture and 'fact'. Also the high-information Dems have no problem with their pols play acting 'center-right' to hook the rubes. We hunt RINOs, they know after all the school-uniform and 'sensible' reform bullshit that the Democrat pol is going to act ideologically pure. We hear a slight equivocation or attempt to sell liberty and small government in a new way and pounce on the heretic. I'm pretty hard core libertarian and Scott Brown said some pretty awful things, but he's trying to sell small govt conservatism to a state of neo-fascists. You gotta let some stuff slide when our guys are marketing to the masses. There are RINOs of action (who need to be shut down) and RINOs of rhetoric, who might just be appealing conservatism to LIVs We need better discernment, I think sometimes in an effort for purity we blow-up a solid con's spot, just as they make inroads. WE have to stop being outraged and surprised at the nonsense the left spews and pay attention to the low-info narrative they are setting. When seemingly rational and educated people say ridiculous things over and over AND influence people you have to acknowledge it as strategy. The high-information Dems have a strategy, to set the tone and narrative and they know perception is reality. By any means necessary. We need to be guerrillas in the culture war and stop being Red Coats, marching in formation, easy to pick off, complaining that the enemy isn't fighting fair.
