@4
Yeah. I'm a bit torn. I don't want my bitterness to cloud my judgement.
I do see a major opportunity for the Pens this offseason. A lot of player's contracts are up in the offseason and we have the amnesty buyouts. Also there are a ton of good coaches available.
If it were up to me, I'd fire Bylsma first. You can't have a team like this and not win cups. His only cup win came coaching half a season with another guy's team.
I'd trade Fleury in the offseason. I like MAF and have always been a defender of him, but I can't ignore the fact that he's become a playoff choker. I still think he's a very good goalie, but the Pens aren't a team concerned with getting regular season wins, they're concerned with getting playoff wins. While his trade value is down, Fleury is still a good goalie and better than many starting goalies in the NHL. There are teams out there who would be willing to see if he can restart his career in their city. This sounds drastic, but I think the fact that the Pens started Vokoun in game three tells you all you need to know about their confidence in Fleury's ability to win playoff games.

When I first heard about there being a building collapse I was like, "Oh dear. I wonder what happened?" Then I heard they were doign demolition on a neighboring building, and I thought, "Oh. Well, maybe something went wrong with the demolition and it just happened to also affect an inhabited building? I hope everyone's okay!" And now, as more and more comes out about it, all I can do is shake my head in disbelief. To describe it as a massive, deadly clusterfuck does not do it justice.

WASHINGTON — The Obama administration is secretly carrying out a
domestic surveillance program under which it is collecting business
communications records involving Americans under a hotly debated section
of the Patriot Act, according to a highly classified court order disclosed on Wednesday night.
My how things have changed. Some comments I've read in the NY Slimes are, I don't totally agree with this but understand that it's necessary in certain instances. Imagine if George Bush were president. The lefties would be in the streets screaming and yelling about a police state. It also makes me wonder if the government was getting these records, as they claim, for security reasons or to spy on conservative groups/people.

Of course there is the smoking gun of Benghazi which not only has his fingerprints on it but there are tapes of him firing it at the ambassador and killing him with it. No? Who ordered the Code Yellow military stand down in Benghazi? Who was derelict in their duty in the face of the enemy?

Either fish or cut bait. Quit screwing around with the country's security and stop pandering to future Dims and the Meheecan government.

Posted by: Ian S. at June 06, 2013 09:59 AM (OevbG)
I think the point is that, for many people who remain immature into their adulthood, the commitment of marriage and children often requires that they start exercising some maturity. The ones who don't are the ones who will never grow up, no matter what life throws at them. But the ones who do are the ones who may never have grown up BUT FOR getting married and having children.
It's not a requirement to get married or have children to gain maturity. I've done neither and I think I'm pretty mature. But some people need the civilizing force of "settling down" to help them over that last hill from being a foolish child to being a sensible adult.

From another WSJ story:
First, the better measure of a strong labor market is the proportion of the population that is working, not the proportion that isn't. In 2006, 63.4% of the working-age population was employed. That percentage declined to a low of 58.2% in July 2011 and now stands at 58.6%. By this measure, the labor market's health has barely changed over the past three years.

In his first debate Massachusetts senate candidate Gabriel Gomez said he would push for the passage of the Toomey-Manchin bill if elected. “I oppose the NRA on the expanded background checks,” he said.
On immigration, Gomez said (at least twice) that he wanted to make the gang of eight the “gang of nine” when he came to Washington.

Expect Chuckie to make a big deal in the next day or so of some fig leaf of "security."
You forget at your own peril that these people really, really think they are smarter than 99.99% of Americans ("You're not a Senator, fuck you.").
So, they really do believe they can make crocodile tears over a grand concession, and get you to believe it ("You're so stupid, you're not even a Senator."). Meanwhile, they really believe you won't read the actual wording and know how it will actually play out in practice ("You can't even read, you're not a Senator.").

With the scope and breadth of multiple treasonous acts revealed in such a short period, I'm sure we're seeing symptoms of a progressive disease that's been coordinated both explicitly and implicitly by a legion of like minded drones, who saw the election of their community agitator Choomsbury, as the time to act, on what til then had only been a long held, widespread statist/totalitarian wet dream.
