You know.

It's funny.

I was sitting at the St. Louis CPAC today, and the panel on immigration reform drifted into population control and Norquest (who for some reason was on the panel).

Anyway he was clearly not a fan of this zero population growth thing.  And it's understandable.  Let's set aside the government control for a moment and just look at it on a voluntary basis.  0 populatin growth and negative population growth create huge problems in society when you don't have the workforce to fill the jobs (and care for aging parents.)

But hey, these assholes are stupid.

Not so for these touchy-feely folks. No siree! Their tears are as much for your benefit as it is for theirs. They WANT you to feel their anguish because feelings are the only thing that matters. If they can manipulate someone else into feeling something for them or their predicament, and get them to act according to that guilt or shame, then all the better. Let it all hang out.

"Scientists found in the report that it was 'extremely likely' that humans are causing warming trends"

"unequivocal" means "extremely likely" now.

That's an excellent link. I urge everyone to read it. And Judith Curry is an actual scientist, and something of a luke-Warmist to boot. But she is as appalled by the bad (and non-)science in the IPCC report as any iron-bund skeptic. Basically, they increased the confidence rating from 90% to 95% even though the current data is less supportive of the models than the data used in the last round (much of which was fudged).

IPCC knows this is their last kick at the cat, so they are doubling down on stupid.
