I start one in the morning. It sucks but it's a job and should help me keep the house a while longer. Pre apprenticeship program as a sheet metal worker. That would be fine if I was 20. But I would be 63 by the time I make journeyman. There is a lady at a placement agency who saw my resume about another job I applied for as a machine operator who is excited about the prospect of getting me into a lab in the future so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

135 I had on Dana Loesch's delayed boradcast on my way home about an hour ago. A black guy named Jamahl called in and he was hot, because he said this was the biggest pile of BS he had ever heard.

He then went on a 5-minute riff about who cares about Joe Biden riding the train when he (Jamahl) is paying nearly 4 bucks a gallon to get to a job where he busts his hump every day, which he KNOWS Obama never did being as how he is from OLD MONEY and never had to work a day in his life.

There was lots more but I was laughing plus he was talking in a really thick accent so I couldn't get all of it. I am not a big fan of Loesch bu if you can get a rerun of her show, that call is in the second hour.

It cheered me up that there are some people who are not being fooled.

This time a sequester x10 ? I'm being serious. First, the stimulus must be taken off the top of the budget.. yes, we're paying for another stimulus every year.. upon year. Another sequester x10 will get us a balanced budget in a year. Nobody will lose their jobs except for people being waaaaaaaay over paid anyway. Federal pay should be capped at 65k for the sake of our children. A job paying someone 65k in the private sector is ONE HELL OF A JOB. The DMV or the EEOC wasn't meant to be an employment agency for unemployable welfare queens... which it is now.

It's just a 5% hit to my agency and my office already took a 25% hit to our FY13 budget last fall in anticipation of this. We applied the cut to what we would have paid one of our contractors so we're more than covered.
