26 This is wonderful news, Bennifer Afflac already basically destroyed Daredevil which was Marvel's try for the same brooding INTJ detective mindset. Nice work Whore E Wood. I suspect he will manage to fuck up the role by excelling at neither Bruce Wayne(which Michael Keaton excelled at) or Die Fledermaus(which Bale excelled at) and as such will make the entire cinematic experience akin to passing a kidney stone or losing your entire liver through your rectal orifice in one sitting.... Who Ray for Whore E Wood....

122 AFLAC! Is Ben Affleck not a good enough actor to play Batman? No. And also the *wrong* actor, almost precisely. I mean, I bet MATT DAMON could do a better job, and he isn't even an actor. But Adam West was? I concede that AFLAC could probably do the spandex and camp send-up version of Batman, but I wouldn't watch it. Michael Keaton, the guy from Mr. Mom and Gung Ho? Did you even *see* his Batman? I thought before I saw it there was no way he could do it, and I was *completely* wrong. He pulled it off. The second one is often rated worse because it was pretty much the same performance. I think Ace has expectations that are too high in certain aspects and too low in others. Posted by: CozMark at August 22, 2013 09:36 PM (6QN3y) No expectations are too low for AFLAC! MIND YOU we could be completely surprised, but I will wait for others to be completely surprised first.

240 170 Christian Bale owns the part. Affleck just can't do "dark." Heck, he barely did Argo. All I kept thinking during the movie was, "Man, he sure does love close-ups of his emotionless face." Posted by: HRH Princess Fuzzy Bunny a/k/a Lizzy at August 22, 2013 09:49 PM (UrtRh) Keaton's performance as Bruce Wayne was the high point of the first franchise, and Bale's performance as Batman was what made the second franchise. Keaton as Batman and Bale as Bruce were forgettable. If you could have Keaton play Wayne and Bale play Batman, much better movies, IMHO. The Adam West Batman was a totally different animal since that was a campy t-v show meant to be taken in the same vein as the Airplane! movies.

@117 Seems weird to me that Batman would be in a Superman movie. Isn't Batman the bigger franchise these days?

---------------

DC wants to do the same thing that Marvel pulled off with Avengers.  DC's version is called the Justice League, and the core members of that group are Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman.  They've been trying (and failing) to get a Wonder Woman movie out for a while now, but Superman and Batman now both look like guaranteed winners.  Since the Batman franchise is more or less on hiatus at the moment (due to DK Rises), sticking Batman into the Superman sequel is the fastest way for DC to move things along.

285 It would actually not be that hard to come up with a good Justice League arc and story for a movie. Unless you're in intellectually-inbred Hollywood, in which case it's almost impossible. Even the MMO "DC Universe Online" came up with a dramatic and somewhat unusual concept (kind of game oriented and not so much movie) that got your attention, and had some emotional hooks regarding the main characters. Part of the problem is the death spiral of creativity in the comic world. It's still there, but, you know, spiraling. Iron Man was kind of Marvel's key, partly because of the middle finger it gave to some core Hollywood ideas, that got the audience riled up. Would have been better with more middle fingers, but you have to start small sometimes. 3 would have been better with the villain you thought it was going to have.

310 Oh Guy Mohawk you were asking about Heroes of Cosplay  Posted this on previous thread when the new one rose from its water grave to menace us all like a ghost shark.

The first two episodes. Lots of drama, panic, and claws.

OMG Victoria should be drop kicked. First episode her embroidery machine breaks, her boyfriend stays behind to get that done, she goes to the con, Friday night gets hammered in her MLP costume, wakes up late Saturday with hangover, picks up package from BF that arrived that morning while she still slept, and then she missed the costume contest because she was still sewing embroidery on.

Second episode her boyfriend wires up her Tron dress for lights. At Emerald Con Yaya Han, a judge, asks her Friday night at coffee shop how much help Jiyo - the boyfriend - did so she tells Yaya he pretty much did everything. Then Saturday night in her light up Quorra Tron dress Yaya asks how much did she do on it. Victoria adits to doing a little bit of work but never mentions Jiyo's help. Stupid girl lied on the stage. She no win any awards.

It other words its like watching a train wreck.

342 Because Methos, to be 'elite' in the cosplay world of the never-ending cons, you MUST have at least one new costume per con.

Look at Yaya, she did a new costume for each of the cons.  I much prefer her as C.C. instead of the usual 14 year old girls, but still that was a new costume.

Lulu was for that con and since Victoria royally screwed up she will probably never show that costume.

Knockout, also known as the knockout game and knockout king, is a violent activity played by teenagers in which they attack an innocent pedestrian in an attempt to knock him or her unconscious with one punch. The game can result in serious injuries or death for its victims and corresponding criminal charges for those playing it.

423 "The rules of Knockout King are straightforward, according to Jason and other former players interviewed for this article. A lead attacker is chosen from among a group of boys, usually young adolescents. Next a target is picked out. Then the attacker either charges the unsuspecting victim or motions for his attention. When the target turns or lifts his head, the attacker strikes. If the victim is felled by the punch, the group usually scatters. But if the target withstands the blow, other members of the group may follow up with their fists to finish the job. "Some people kick, but I ain't used to kick," says Jason. "I just punched."

424 Wait a minute, I know the perfect first attack for the sequel movie.

Dark theater.  Its a cheesey glittering vampire movie up on the screen.  And Tara is getting snuggly with her movie boyfriend.  And as they swap salivia....

Ghost Shark leaps out of the 64oz soda and starts chomping.  Then jumps to another soda and another.

ItÂ’s summer.  ThereÂ’s a rule somewhere that viruses are only supposed to hit in the winter.  Unfortunately, last week Jim crossed paths with a renegade summer virus.  And itÂ’s a bad one.  After battling fevers for a week and getting worse, he is on his way to the hospital.

Please say an extra prayer for Jim.  HeÂ’s really sick.

438 Truck Monkey, Rocks, I donÂ’t know why but I guessed that the game was exclusive to one group of people. Young blacks. IÂ’m a racist for saying black? I donÂ’t care.

I actually think Ben Affleck's okay, for a liberal douchebag. I can see him as Batman.

I'll shut up and go phuck myself now.

450 Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy will forever be the pinnacle of any comic-book based movies.  Nothing will ever come close.

And I don't care what anyone says, those three movies are distinctly conservative.
