I'm off from work today. Last inaugeral day, I was at work, and the number of people glued to computer screens and the two tv's in the staff lounge (complete with joyous crying) was absolutely sickening. I am thinking that there will be less of that this time. (Definite enthusiasm gap this election from last). I think people will pretty much be just going about their business.
I just find it interesting that even here in blue, blue Seattle, I know a lot of people who voted for him the first time, did not vote for him the second time. I don't know anyone who didn't vote for him before, vote for him this time. There were hardly any signs for him in the predominately minority neighborhood (Central District) where I work. Last election, you couldn't see the grass for the Obama signs. I still can't believe he won.

Agriculture pays farmers not to farm... Energy Dept. is helping the EPA close Coal Electricity Plants... Education since its inception has precided over a DECREASE in test scores...
And before it became the Dept of DEFENSE in 1947, we had somthing like 13 out of 150 years of War.... since? Korea (which is still a War), Viet Nam (12?), Cold War, Desert Storm, Iraq & Afgainstan (10 years and counting)... or 26 out of 66 years... or an increase from 11.5% to 39%... quite an Increase of WAR once the name was changed from War Dept.

1. The electorate was heavily Dem, w/ GOP turnout down from what it could have been.
2. 54% of those who came out to vote approved of O's job as Prez. The same day he was avg 50% appv in national polls. This shows you more of the 50% who approve showed up to vote then the 50% who dissappv.
3. The exits showed that the electorate generally thought Romney won the argument and O had not fared to well in his 1st term. In fact plurality/majorities of the D+6 electorate thought Romney was a better leader, a better Prez for the economy, had better visions and plans, etc. However 81% thought Obama "cared more". In short, the electorate knew O sucked but stuck w/ him anyway. Scary stuff right there.

Jefferson was governor of Virginia, during the Revolution...and was so against having a standing army, he had disbanded the army in Virginia.
This didn't work out.
He ended up having to flee Virginia...when the redcoats overran his beloved state.

That is a statement presented as fact, that can be compared to the actual listing of weapons used.

Has anyone else seen the movie...'Branded'?
I watched it last night.
It's set in Russia, which I had no idea was going to be case.
The preview showed all these great special effects of giant monsters devouring buildings...so I thought it was going to be something entirely different.
It claimed that "Lenin created Advertising"...in order to 'sell' the idea that Communism was cool.
The movie wasn't anti-capitalism.
The theme was basically that people are stupid, and that Advertising Executives prey on this.
