Google  has  had  a  great  run, because  they  are  the best at what  they  do.   But  something  better  always  comes  along.   I'm   not  overly  worried  about  this.

I've had this issue in the past.  When I was researching the eligibility issue, I would that links which were near the top previously, ended up buried deep deep in the subsequent pages.  I found links that wouldn't even show up at all.  I discovered that Yahoo and Bing would show results that google would not.

Google is the enemy.  Use it if you have to, but don't think for a minute that your search information doesn't go into a file in their database.

I  think  it is more  than  that.  We  need  to wage  war  on  all products  manufactured  by  businesses  that  use  Washington   for  their  own  benefit.   Apple  was  run  by   liberals,  but  was   a  company  conservatives  should  have  admired  -  no  lobbying,  no  corporate  giving,  didn't  give a  crap  where its products  were manufactured,  toppled  the  music  industry  (or  turned it upside  down).  Jobs  was a  liberal, but  he  ran  his  company  for  the  sole  purpose  of  making  money.

I'm not referring to tech products specifically,  i'm referring to the entire gamut of products that people buy on an everyday basis.  For example, that Australian wine company that said it would not sell wine to the NRA.  If someone is contemplating buying their wine, they could scan the barcode on the wine box, and the cell phone app would come back "RED ALERT!  RED ALERT!  Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD YOU PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT!!!!!"

It could then go on to explain why this Australian wine company was put on the list so the user could make up their own mind whether to allow this commodity type "mal ware."

You won't be able to exclude all liberal suppliers, but putting a dent in them can only help.

HoboJerky,  I  don't  know  whether  the story  is true,  but  I'm not sure  it really  matters.   Assuming  true,  I could  see it making  a  difference  at the margins,  but  not  enough  to really  swing  an  election, except  in  very  close  ones.   I guess you could argue  that it helps you  to sharpen/focus  your  message,  to  see what is truly   resonating, etc.,  but  I still think that doesn't  provide  enough  help  to overcome  general  deficiencies  in a  campaign.

Still,  plenty of other reasons  to not use  google.

My concern is about the time that one of these types decides to really go full bore. I mean Huffington and Google are lefty outlets, but you can still get some basic real time, factual information from HuffPo. 

But what about when one of these billionaire CEOs decides that although they will still try to make money, the main purpose of the site will be to push leftist ideology and support Democrats? And that every single story or piece of information will be prioritized, filtered, and disseminated with that purpose in mind.
