Great American Thinker Shares Her Thoughts on Margaret Thatcher
— Pixy Misa

CNN contributor and current Vice-Chair of the DNC, Donna Brazile, decided to ask the tough questions about Baroness Thatcher.

NRO's resident Englishman Charles C.W. Cooke had the best response.

Feel free to get in on the fun using the #DonnaBrazileLogic hashtag.

18 Here's your answer, Donna - how about you tell me the name of Baroness Thatcher's husband, without first looking it up.

If you look at the list of "accomplished" female pols of the left, you conclude that almost none of them - especially St. Hillary and SanFran Nan - would be on the stage today but for their husbands. But yeah, Baroness Thatcher didn't "leave lasting footprints for women in politics" - because I suppose she was too busy helping to defeat communism and rescuing her country from the ideology of, well, Donna Brazile.

37 The problem isn't what Margaret Thatcher accomplished. The problem is that people in the media, because of the ridiculous amount of attention they get, have an exaggerated sense of their own accomplishments and importance. "Did she leave lasting footprints for women in politics?" And that is the money quote. Her judgements aren't based on improvement of things in Britain but on furthering the cause of Womyn as a special interest group. I guess we're lucky she didn't accuse Thatcher of a "War on Womyn".

This context shows that Brazile understands Thatcher's legacy as a    "tough lady,"     but     it doesn't    refute her truly idiotic questions    regarding how Thatcher A) advanced Great Britain, or B) left "lasting footprints"   for women in politics.

There's a difference between acknowledging someone's personal qualities of leadership and personality,   and acknowledging how those qualities gelled     to      leave    an indelible mark in history.     Brazile    is admitting the former       while denying the latter.    It's a sign of intellectual cowardice.

94 This context shows that Brazile understands Thatcher's legacy as a "tough lady," but it doesn't refute her truly idiotic questions regarding how Thatcher A) advanced Great Britain, or B) left "lasting footprints" for women in politics.

There's a difference between acknowledging someone's personal qualities of leadership and personality, and acknowledging how those qualities gelled to leave an indelible mark in history. Brazile is admitting the former while denying the latter. It's a sign of intellectual cowardice.

I think this is a pitiful attempt by Donna B to try to be sly.  She can say "No I was soliciting comments, I wanted to see what people's opinions of Thatcher were!"  But the #justsayin tag seems to give away her true intent.

It's perplexing to me that she said just tweets before that Thatcher was a Role Model to US conservative women but then say she wasn't in the next tweet.

What we're dealing with here is the mind of an irrational idiot basically.

98 Obama Responded Faster To Lib Film Critic Roger Ebert’s Death Than He Did To Margaret Thatcher’s… It took Obama only 30 minutes to issue a statement on Ebert, more than three hours to respond (just after 10 a.m.) to Thatcher’s death. (CNSNews.com) – More than two hours after the BBC reported the death of conservative British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher on Monday, President Barack Obama still had not issued a statement on her passing. But last week, within half an hour of film critic Roger Ebert’s death, the White House tweeted a statement from the president. As of 10:00 a.m. EDT on Monday, there was still silence from the White House on Thatcher’s death, which the BBC tweeted as breaking news around 6:50 a.m. Last week, the Chicago Sun-time reported at 2:32 p.m. on April 4 that Ebert had died; The White House tweeted a statement from President Obama at 3:02 p.m.)

she won't....

they revel in their assholishness to us friend.

174 The hatred and rejoicing spewing from the left would make anyone think she had still been in power at the time of her death and that it was the only way to end her "oppression", rather than someone who had been out of power for years (...except, apparently, in certain lefties' heads, where she seems to have been living very well!).

Dear Donna,

Obnoxious, Bitter, and Stupid is no way to go through life, girl.

Sincerely,

179 But could she eat a whole box of donuts in one sitting like I can?

Posted by: Donna Brazile at April 08, 2013 07:37 AM (SzAZ7)

180 The only trailblazing Donna Brazile does is from the pantry to the powder room.

Posted by: Fritz at April 08, 2013 07:39 AM (WM+rJ)

181 Sure, she had some minor accomplishments but could she expose herself as a first rate idiot on twitter?

Posted by: Donna Brazile at April 08, 2013 07:42 AM (SzAZ7)

182 Is Brazile even worth an acknowledgement? She's not fit to carry water for Thatcher.

Posted by: rplat at April 08, 2013 07:45 AM (U/Ao5)

183 Okay, okay, Prime minister is okay but who is blazing the vice-chairperson trail? Me! That's who. You're welcome ladies.

Posted by: Donna Brazile at April 08, 2013 07:45 AM (SzAZ7)

184 Thatcher may have been a star but I have more gravity. In fact, a few more pounds and I'll be named a planetoid... Are you going to eat that?

185 "Okay, what did Hillary Clinton do to advance America and the world? Did she leave lasting footprints for women in politics? Or just get an ambassador killed?"

186 Donna's done plenty for women. If it weren't for her, think of all the hairy bush there'd be out there during bikini season!

187 You have to wonder at the instincts of someone with that degree of Laziness.* Perhaps you can't avoid being stupid, but you can make an effort to read a biography. It isn't often that one reads such an idiotic summery of a great historical figure. *yes I used the L word and I don't care. Unwilling to check out information before you blast someone of that statue cannot be described otherwise as Lazy.

I read that Chelsea Clinton puff piece in Parade Magazine yesterday; basically they anointed her as the once (and future!!11!!1) daughter of a president, wink wink nudge nudge. And we wonder why we are losing low information voters, be they young or geriatric readers of a supposedly innocuous newspaper insert.

RIP Maggie Thatcher. <3 I'm so glad the smearing of her name has seemed to die down with time and her true legacy is shining through. May she inspire future conservatives and help, through her example, return true conservative principles to politics.

189 Here's the footprint Baroness Thatcher left for all of us: Gender is not as important as accomplishment and commitment to principles. While she had her moments poking fun at men--like this from 1965: "If you want something said, ask a man. If you want something done, ask a woman." (are you listening Pres. Obama?)--she didn't wear her gender on her sleeve nor did she use it as a shield when things got tough.

190  I think the world would be a poorer place without Donna Brazille's turn as the wisecracking waitress, Shirley, on "What's Happening!"

191 All right, but apart from the sanitation, medicine, education, wine, public order, irrigation, roads, the fresh water system and public health, what have the Romans ever done for us?

Her footprints are considerably larger than the propaganda artist known as Donna Brazile.

Can anyone remember her ever contributing to the improvement of anything?  I didn't think so.

Ms. Brazile, I suggest you sit down with "Clueless  Debbie" of the ratsnest hairdo and share some deep thought, if you can steal any from someone with a functional brain.

.........think affirmative action

her ignorance is profound

195 Dear Donna, This is not high school, and you're not one of the cheerleaders. Shut the fuck up, you jealous twat.

196 Someday there will be a starship named the USS Thatcher, and a garbage scow named Donna B.

Worthy sentiment, but that will never happen.

That will be HMS Margaret Thatcher.

I wasn't aware that a so-called 'woman' that has to shave its face daily is entitled to comment as a 'woman'

I think the gas I just passed has more intellectual firepower than this behemoth.
