So, you know how Obama "honors" every president, right? By inserting himself into their story. He thinks he elevates others (including presidents) by validating them with a connection to himself.

It's not an enjoyable high at all and it does nothing for the pain."

 

 I feel the same way about the hatred. It's not fun. It doesn't make me feel better about myself or the general situation to hate. It's draining. And I think, "Their hatred is fun for them, it makes them feel better about themselves - how can that be?"

Very good. The best has to be Graeter's (of Cincinnati) chocolate chip coconut. If you ever see Graeter's ice cream at the grocery store (they now sell it at Whole Foods in Wisconsin) - buy it. You will not be sorry.

 

But even Graeters was not as good as the homemade chocolate ice cream my sister-in-law made for her son's party a few weeks ago, using an old fashioned ice cream machine. And I'm not generally a big chocolate ice cream fan. This was like silky cold milk chocolate Godivas. Did you ever have something so good at a party that you wished everyone else there would vanish for at least a half hour so you could stuff yourself instead of having to act like a civilized person? I wanted to grab the bowl and run away with it somewhere.

...where no book on the freaking planet contains "the answers".  The "answers" require synthesis of new thought and understanding of all previous material to get there.

I had a computer architecture prof in grad school who gave tests like that.  You had 3 days to complete them and could use any reference on the planet you wanted.

Most brutal test I've ever taken...they couldn't be "studied" for.
