Another amazing thing is that you can actually read the entire Declaration of Independence on Independence Day and have plenty of time left for a beer.

I am NOT complaining. Everything is green and my roses are growing like crazy. I didn't plant very many outdoor planters this year because I didn't want a third year of dragging hoses. However, that wouldn't have been necessary.
A lot of people around here lost trees (and large ones) because of the drought. They didn't think about watering them, and the result was dead trees.
I am not complaining.

My theory is that the prosecution knows how weak on the merits their case is. But they also know that the political winds and the LIV/media sentiments are at their backs. And from what I gather, they also may feel they have the judge in their corner, which is huge.
So, lacking any substantive evidence, they're simply trying to find some kind of angle, any kind of hook at all, so a jury that is probably somewhat already predisposed in favor of a conviction, can come up with some sort of rationale, however looney, to find a guilty verdict.
Hideous. Find it very hard to write about this or think too deeply about it. But I feel it is a huge potential watershed moment in this country. Sincerely hope I'm attaching way too much importance to just another nasty episode and fleck of mud in the eye.

Other than establishing that Martin did not rake his fingernails across Zimmerman's skin, it doesn't prove anything to me and I've been involved in the investigation of about two dozen homicides. My supposition is that the prosecution is trying to argue that Martin didn't physically fight Zimmerman (even though one of their own witnesses said that Martin was on top of Zimmerman and punching downwards).
If I was on the defense, I would destroy this theory by showing the jury that the fingernails are sheltered inside a closed fist.

D'oh Boy Skyped yesterday eve and he's been grilling for his friends. He's quite the grill master, and I gave him a salsa recipe he made to serve with reef shark steaks (he caught the shark). He's cooking flank steak today for a bunch of guys.
